Huggies Newborn Nappies Size 2 Big Pack £8 @ Asda

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 29 April, 2012 at 11:00 am

Huggies Newborn Nappies Size 2 Big Pack £8 @ AsdaThe Asda baby event is in full swing. Which is a good time to stock up on stuff like these Huggies Newborn Nappies. Both the Huggies Newborn Nappies Size 2 big pack (92 nappies) and the Huggies Newborn Nappies Size 1 (81 nappies) are both £8. For the Size 2 pack that works out to 8p a nappy, which isn't a bad price and cheaper than some supermarket own brands.

There's another offer on the Asda Baby Event too. The Huggies Newborn Starter Kit has been reduced to £3, and has 27 nappies along with three packs of newborn baby wipes. Three packs of these will get you 81 nappies too plus three packs of baby wipes, for a quid extra. However, I'm not so sure you need the baby wipes?  For a newborn? I didn't need to use anything other than a bit of water and cotton wool. What's the experience of other readers?

Standard delivery is £2.95, however you can collect in store for free.

Huggies Newborn - award winning nappies for the ultimate in softness for your precious little one. Huggies understands that you want the very best for your newborn's delicate skin. Huggies Super Dry Big Pack x 2 £15 @ Asda

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 9 October, 2011 at 9:00 am

Huggies Super Dry Big Pack x 2 £15 @ AsdaAsda are selling Huggies Super Dry big packs for as little as £9 each, and I've been able to find them for this price at Tesco, and slightly cheaper at Amazon. However, you can get 2 packs for £15 in the multi-buy offer, and I haven't been able to find this cheaper anywhere. It works out to (for say the Huggies Super Dry 76 big pack size 4) just 10p per nappy.

I couldn't find an option to collect in-store. Home delivery charges start at £3, depending on what times you opt for. Keep in mind that there's a minimum spend for home delivery of £25. Also, don't book a slot too far in advance, as you're charged whatever the price is on the day, not at the time you place your order.

If you shop at Asda, it might be worth going into the store to see what they've got on the shelves. As for buying four boxes, well I remember what it was like when son was still in nappies, and it doesn't take long to get through that many!

Huggies Newborn Size 2 Nappies 2 Economy Packs x 62 £8.84 @ Amazon

Huggies Newborn Size 2 Nappies 2 Economy Packs x 62 £8.84 @ AmazonIf you're into planning ahead, then you can get a great deal on these nappies. They're made with organic cotton, and at £8.84 per pack from Amazon it works out to 7p a nappy.

Click here for Huggies from Amazon

For some reason, I developed a horror of all chemicals when my son was born. All my cleaning products went in the bin, and were replaced with more natural products and environmentally friendly ones. All new clothes got washed several times before I put them on my son, so afraid was of the chemicals you get in the material.

If you're that way inclined too, then organic cotton will definitely be a major plus.

According to the product description, Huggies have fluffy absorbent fibres made from wood pulp sourced only from suppliers with Sustainable Forestry Certification. HUGGIES was the first nappy clinically proven to protect against nappy rash.

One reviewer on the site, who gave the nappies four stars, comments that "my wife and I found that these nappies were great during the day for regular changes but they tend to leak during the night because they don't hold enough. This isn't too much of a problem - it just means more changes during the night or early morning."

120 Size 4+ Huggies Nappies £11 @ Asda

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 6 August, 2011 at 8:00 am

120 Size 4+ Huggies Nappies £11 @ AsdaIf you're in the market for nappies then this is a deal for you.

Asda are selling boxes of 120 Huggies nappies in size +4 for £11.00 instead of £20.98.

The only way these Huggies nappies won't be of any use to you is

a) you use cotton nappies or,

b) you have a baby who's too big for size +4

Other than that, there's absolutely no reason why you can't take advantage of nappy deals when they come up and stash them away until your baby is big enough to wear them.

I dread to think how much money I've spent on nappies over the years, on both disposable and cotton ones.

It's probably not even a good idea to try and work it out, it would just break your heart; saving money on things like nappies whenever you can is a way to ease the financial burden just a little bit.

There's no limit on how many boxes of these Huggies nappies you can order; the only thing that will limit you is them going out of stock and, at this price, that might be quite fast.

Change the delivery method to 'in-store' to collect them from your local Asda store for free.

Huggies Carry Packs Printable Voucher: £2 Off

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 1 September, 2010 at 8:00 pm

Huggies Carry Packs Printable Voucher: £2 Off

This is a printable voucher for Huggies Carry On Packs, which will give you £2 off at participating retailers.

Click here for £2 off Huggies Carry Packs

  • Discount: £2 off
  • Minimum Spend: £0.00
  • Applies To: All Huggies Carry Packs
  • Voucher Code: Follow the link above for the printable voucher

To get your voucher, just click on the link above. You may need to scroll down the page a bit, depending on the size of your screen. At the bottom of the page you'll see the Print Coupon button. Click on it.

This can be a handy little money saver if you use Huggies disposables. I assume that most retailers won't take the voucher if the nappies are already on special offer. But, if you can't find them in a 2 for 1 or discount sale, then this is another way to make sure you save those extra few pounds!

There isn't anything about an expiry date in the Terms and Conditions for this voucher. It can be used for the carry packs for Huggies Newborn, Little Walkers, Natural Fit, and Super Dry.

The voucher does say it can be used with any participating retailer, but I couldn't find these listed anywhere on the website. I assume that the main supermarkets will be amongst those participating.

Huggies Gentle Care Baby Changing Pads Review

by Emma Kelly in Reviews on 9 August, 2010 at 5:00 pm

Huggies Gentle Care Baby Changing Pads Review

I recently received a little packet of Huggies Gentle Care changing pads which I have been using and I'll write a bit of a review for you guys.

I use a baby changing station in my living room and the top is made from plastic coated foam. I first started using it when I had my baby a few months ago, and she always cried when I set her on it. I believed it was because the plastic was cold. So I started setting down a few slices of kitchen roll to insulate her a bit, and also to aid if there were any little accidents.

I did that for a while, but now I use the Huggies baby changing pads instead. The changing pads keep baby insulated from the cold plastic. They last for days if not weeks, as long as baby doesn't have a little accident on it. If she does, the changing pad soaks up the pee really well, and there doesn't have to be a huge cleanup operation, I just pop the wet pad in the bin.

I felt that the pads were quite large for my little tiny baby, so I cut each pad in half before using it. I'm getting double the use of the pack in this way!

Another idea is to pop one of the disposable pads in your baby bag, for baby changing emergencies when you are out and about.

To be honest, I thought baby changing pads were a waste of money and I wouldn't use them, but I will be buying these in the future.

I'm not sure where the cheapest place to buy these Huggies changing pads is,  but I have spotted them for £2.49 @ Boots.

Do you use changing pads or do you think they're a waste of money?

Huggies Baby Wipes Review

Huggies Baby Wipes Review

When I had my baby girl 7 weeks ago, I got a free pack of Huggies baby wipes from somewhere... I think it was in the Bounty pack which you get in the hospital. I thought I would write a review on them, as I am sure there are a few mummies who are trying to decide whether to buy Huggies or Johnsons baby wipes, or perhaps a supermarket own brand.

I'm not one to turn my nose up at a freebie, but I have to say I really dislike these Huggies baby wipes!

I don't use baby wipes very much, as I use cotton wool and water on baby girl's botty when I am at home. I only use the baby wipes when I am out and about.

Smell-wise, the wipes seemed fine, I didn't have a problem with that at all.

My main issue with the baby wipes is that whenever I tried to get one out of the packet, I pulled off a really small bit of the wipe, rather than getting the entire wipe out. I don't know why this happened - whether it was due to their strange texture, or my slightly long nails. I eventually resorted to removing 3 or 4 wipes at once, so I could easily get at them when my hands were otherwise engaged with stinky bottoms.

I've got 2 or 3 packets of Huggies wipes to go through because of the freebies at the recent Cybermummy conference, so I will try and use them up, or give them away. But I will never willingly purchase Huggies baby wipes.  It will always be Johnsons baby wipes for me!

Which baby wipes are your weapon of choice?

Baby Freebies: Free sample of Huggies® Newborn

by Sarah Macdonald in Freebies on 2 March, 2010 at 8:00 pm

Baby Freebies: Free sample of Huggies® Newborn Nappies - whilst not the most glamourous baby purchase you'll make, will be one of the most regular and if you've walked down the nappy aisle at the supermarket you'll already know what a bewildering array there is.

So what do you choose?  One of the big names or a supermarket own brand?  Gender specific (if you already know or if the baby has already arrived)? Pull ups? Velcro tabs? Ones with stretchy sides?  Perhaps ones with Pooh bear on them (I always thought that was hilarious to have Pooh on nappies....but then I can be easily amused!)?  Or maybe ones that are shaped more like proper pants than a nappy?  And let's not even go DOWN the route of swimming nappies yet!

Baby Freebies: Free sample of Huggies® Newborn So here's my best advice - get hold of as many different samples of nappies as you can and then try them out.  Huggies boys nappies were great for my eldest son many moons ago, but Huggies for girls 14 years ago really didn't suit my daughter - she was more of a Pampers fit and you won't know which is which without trying them.

Thing is, you don't want to spend the best part of a tenner on a pack of nappies that might not suit you or your baby - so samples is definitely the way to go.

You don't have to register first to claim this baby freebie from the Bounty parenting club, you just need to fill in your name and addresss and they'll send your sample out in the post to you.  I do like it when things are nice and simple.

Happy Nappy choosing!
