I'm guessing this show is a more recent addition to CBeebies pre-school scheduling. My son is six now, so we don't really watch CBeebies as much as we used to. And now it is mainly for Octonauts, or the art show that's on there.

I had a look at the website for Driver Dan's Story Train, and was quite impressed. It is well worth a visit, there are lots of games and activities and I thought the graphics were really well done. Not anywhere near as painful for grownups as other similar sites!

Ok, so, I have moaned about the cost of any Zhu Zhu accessories for ages, especially since I bought one and found it to be utterly awful plastic tat that was badly made and easily broken. I have ignored the Zhu Zhu habitats since then. However, this bargain from Home Bargains (he he) is really, really good and makes getting the habitat worth the risk.

The Lego City superpack has three sets in one and all of them belong to the Farm theme. So you get the tractor, the four wheel drive with a horse trailer and a pig farm and tractor. The three sets combined together deliver over 500 Lego pieces!

There isn’t much info on the site about the three different Lego packs other than the fact that you get a pig farm, a tractor and a horse trailer with a four wheel drive doodad. The Lego pieces are prolific at 500 so you probably won’t need to buy another set for quite some time.

While forking out nearly £50 at once does hurt, this would make an excellent main Christmas gift for any kid who just loves the idea of Lego.

The Aqua Doodle Rainbow Mat gives your kids hours of fun. It has all the fun of these kits – the whole drawing awesome designs without needing paint and water – but this time in gorgeous technicolour.

Kids can create pictures using the Aquadoodle pen or they can make larger paint brush effects with the special paintbrush pen. There are also special stampers included in the kit to add to the designs with fun stamps. Another inclusion was the 2 for 1 spray pen that lets you create brilliant stencils.

These kits are suitable for children over the age of three and do offer kids hours of fun. The only downside to these sets I think is that you have no tangible reminder of their cool designs. Once the water dries, the pictures disappear.

If you have seen Toy Story 3 then you'll know that Buzz gets to pull some pretty cool moves in this particular movie. I can't remember him being so good at martial arts in the first two movies, and I have seen those two a LOT. My son doesn't rewatch Toy Story 3 as much but he does repeatedly beg me to not throw his toys away now, sigh. But I digress. This particular toy is the Toy Story 3 Spin Kicking Buzz Lightyear, priced at £4.99 by Home Bargains. The RRP is £12.99.

This particular Buzz is described as one of the deluxe action figures. You push a button on his back to active the spin kicking motion. The toy has an approximate height of 15cm and is recommended for ages 4 and upwards.

That's a fairly good size, perhaps a little big to put aside for a stocking filler. Having said that, I'm not entirely tempted to buy it myself. We already have about five versions of Buzz Lightyear, two of which are this big. I'm not entirely keen to add to the collection. We'll run out of space soon! But at this price it would make a great addition to the present drawer.

What little Toy Story fan wouldn't love to sleep in this bag? I really like the way it looks almost like you're Buzz Lightyear lying in it. It's so cute, I almost want one for me. It was originally £21 (the RRP is £29.99), and is now £8.99.

I don't think that this would be suitable for camping, but it would be great fun for indoor sleepovers. Also, it can be quite fun (especially if it is raining) to have an inside 'camping' adventure. Put up a child's tent in the lounge and let them sleep in it.

If you don't have one, I've found that making a fort using blankets works just as well too. My son's siblings are so much older he's pretty much an only child. But this can be a great fun activity to do together, when my other half is away for the day. Getting out the airbeds, setting up the 'tent', eating our dinner out of mess tins.

The advantages are that there's no mozzies, you don't have to worry about the rain, or the cold, and once your little one is snoring away you can relax with a cuppa and watch TV.

The Toy Story Buzz Lightyear sleeping bag is made from polyester and is (you'll be pleased to know) machine washable.  It measures approximately 170 x 170cm.
