HappyLand Sunflower School Bus £3.99 @ Argos

HappyLand Sunflower School Bus £3.99 @ Argos

Argos have the HappyLand Sunflower School Bus back in stock and selling at half price. Normally £7.99, the set is now £3.99 and I’ve checked the postcode for every address I’ve lived in over the last 5 years, and there’s been stock at all of them – but it’s out of stock for home delivery.

These little sets can be quite expensive to collect, so finding them at a great price is always fab, and this particular set includes seven pieces: a driver, a bus, two children, a lollipop lady, a bus stop and a traffic light. Not bad for £3.99.

Argos reckon these toys help improve a child’s motor skills, social and emotional development, speech and language and hand to eye co-ordination.

The HappyLand Sunflower School Bus set is suitable for children 18 months and over and the reviews on it are pretty excellent. The figures are apparently sturdy and cute, and a good size and one even mentioned that it was a great introduction to road safety  discussions.

You might have to look around to find the in stock, but far as I can tell, there are still plenty around.

Happyland Toys Reduced At Debenhams

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 23 December, 2011 at 4:00 pm

Happyland Toys Reduced At Debenhams

There are Happyland toys on offer at pretty amazing prices at Debenhams right now.

The Happyland busy work site from Early Learning Centre has lots of moving parts and plenty to keep little ones busy. There’s a moving steamroller and bulldozer, as well as a crane with a winding handle, which lifts a bucket and transports building blocks into a square slot.  The works site includes two construction vehicles, two construction worker figures, a road sign, five building blocks and a dog figure.  It is reduced from £50, and is now just £10, giving you a massive saving of £40.

The Happyland tree house has a treetop home for fairies. It has a working doorbell, a wind-up basket, a fun slide and a snail carriage and comes with three little Happyland characters.  This is also reduced from £50 to £10.

The code DB2U is still active and gives you a further £1 off each, making them just £9! I’m not even a massive fan of Happyland products, and I’m tempted to buy them at these prices!

You wont get these in time for Christmas unless you physically go in store, and then you might not get them at these prices (I’m not sure) but if you have a birthday coming anytime soon, now’s the time to buy!

Happyland Christmas Set £4 @ Early Learning Centre

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 10 December, 2011 at 11:00 am

Happyland Christmas Set £4 @ Early Learning CentreA great stocking filler for any Happyland fan, the Happyland Christmas set is £5 at Early Learning Centre, reduced from £10. If you add the promotional code: SANTA Lynley wrote about a week ago, you’ll also get another £1 off, although the free delivery doesn’t seem to work anymore. You’ll be better off collecting in store, as £4.95 for delivery is pretty rough when you’re only paying £4 for the set.

Happyland sets have been around forever, haven’t they? I saw a display once of all the Happyland ‘special’ characters and it was rather impressive, actually!

The Happyland Christmas set is a 5-piece set, consisting of Santa, his sleigh, Rudolph, a snowman and a Christmas tree and they are suitable for children from 18 months and up.  The single reviewer on ELC says his daughter plays with it all the time and that it would be great to see more Happyland Christmas figures to add to the set. S/he also says that it’s worth the money and makes a great stocking filler.

The Happyland Christmas set has also been awarded a Mumsnet Best 2010 award.

Happyland Windmill Farm £22.98 @ Boots Online

Happyland Windmill Farm £22.98 @ Boots Online

The ELC Happyland Windmill Farm is on sale at Boots Online at the moment, with £7.66 off. It’s now £22.98 instead of £30.64.

Happyland is one of those collections that I’m simply too afraid to even look at too closely, and certainly don’t want to introduce my daughter to, because I fear that doing so might become very costly for me. They’re not cheap toys, but they do seem to be good quality and far as I can tell, the collection is pretty endless.

I saw a Happyland collection at an ELC event recently that had almost every member of society present! While that’s really great fun, my back pocket groaned at the thought.

So, this Happyland Windmill Farm has, as you’d imagine, a windmill, the sails of which play a tune when the sails are turned. There’s a horse who can pull an apple cart, and a crate of apples that goes in it.  You also get a table and two chairs, and two beds around the farm house.

Included with the farmhouse, you receive two Happyland girls and six animal figures (according to the description, but four according to the image!) and the Windmill requires 3xAAA batteries.

Happyland BOGOF @ ELC OR BOGOF + 20% Off @ Mothercare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 11 June, 2011 at 11:00 am

Happyland BOGOF @ ELC OR BOGOF + 20% Off @ Mothercare

Well that’s a mouthful of a title, isn’t it, but that’s because this is the time to stock up on every Happyland set you’ve ever wanted. See, there’s buy one get one free – effectively 50% off if you buy two of the same  price – Happyland at both ELC and Mothercare, but then Mothercare have 20% off with the code: BA8M too.

So, why  give you two deals? Well, because not everything is available at both. For example, I’ve always loved the HappyLand Fairyland Bluebell Boot which is £38 at ELC, but isn’t included in the offer at  Mothercare.

Others, such as the HappyLand playaway set is £20 at both, but at Mothercare you can use that code above and get 20% off, making  it £16.

There doesn’t seem to be much price difference between the items they do both offer, so really it’s going to come down to postage. ELC gives you free delivery over £50 now, and Mothecare still has that same offer with postage costing you £4.95 at either, so if you’re able to pick up in store that’s your real winner.

Happy shopping for Happyland!

HappyLand Ready To Play Village Set £30 @ ELC

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 3 June, 2011 at 8:00 am

HappyLand Ready To Play Village Set £30 @ ELC

This HappyLand starter set is £30 instead of £60 at the Early Learning Centre right now, with £4.95 postage to UK mainland addresses. Bought individually, this set will apparently cost over £120.

This half price starter kit is great for learning imaginative play and building social skills – assuming there’s more than one child playing.

The Ready to Play Village Set includes a whack of stuff. There’s:

  • A Two-storey shop
  • A telephone booth
  • A market stall
  • 3 Trays of Fruit and vegetables
  • 1 car and 2 delivery vans
  • A cat and two dogs
  • Mr & Mrs Barley characters
  • Poppy and Charlie Barley characters
  • Mr Bun the Baker characters
  • Delia characters
  • Petula the Grocer characters

Suitable  for kidlets from 18 months and up, this was voted a ‘mumsnet best’ product in 2010.

HappyLand Windmill Farm Set £14.00 @ Mothercare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 6 May, 2011 at 9:00 am

HappyLand Windmill Farm Set £14.00 @ Mothercare

The HappyLand Windmill Farm Set is £17.50 at both Mothercare and Early Learning Centre, but with the code BA8M and using Click and Collect, it’ll set you back £14.00.

This play set comes with a bunch of accessories and is mildly interactive too. Included with the farm house is a windmill, two beds, a table for lunch, a horse driven cat and a crate of apples.  There are also two HappyLand characters and four animals – including, it seems, a horse to pull the cart along.

The interactive bit comes in in the form of the melodious windmill, which plays a soft tune when the windmill sails are turned.

I love reading the reviews left by other parents, and these don’t disappoint. They loved it and thought it was good value for money and well made, and most importantly, their children loved it and had hours of imaginative play.

Happyland School Bus Set £8 @ELC

by Heidi Scrimgeour in Deals on 9 April, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Happyland School Bus Set £8 @ELC

The Early Learning Centre's Happyland characters and toys are sure to keep little people happy, and this bus set is down from £10 to £8 right now.

Suitable for children aged between 18 months - 4 years, this set scores an impressive 4.9 out of a possible 5 points in customer reviews.

The set comprises a three-seater bus, the driver, two children, an all-important lollipop lady, as well as a bus stop and a set of traffic lights.

My lads loved Happyland toys when they were younger and the great thing about them is that there are loads of different themed sets and characters, so they can build up quite a collection thanks to birthdays and Christmas. They still play with them now and they're among the most durable toys we've owned.

Be happy!
