Graco Junior Maxi High Back Booster Seat Metropolitan £24.99 @ Halfords

Graco Junior Maxi High Back Booster Seat Metropolitan £24.99 @ Halfords

There’s a fab saving of £35 off the Graco Junior Maxi High Back Booster Seat Metropilitan at Halfords, reducing it to £24.99.

My daughter hated the bucket baby car seats from the day she was born, and driving anywhere was an absolute nightmare. At 18 months, unable to cope with the drama of driving any longer, we put her in an age appropriate booster seat where she could see out the window and sit upright, and it was like flipping a switch – everything changed and we could drive without frazzled nerves and pounding headaches.

While this isn’t suitable for an 18 month old – in fact it’s only suitable from 4 – 12 years, whenever I see a picture of a booster seat I feel relief. Psychological imprinting, for sure!

This seat comes with free fitting from Halfords, so it’s worth reserving and collecting, but you can have it delivered for free within four days.

The Metropolitan Graco Junior Maxi High Back Booster Seat has a height adjustable head support that grows with your child. It also has height adjustable arm rests to give better back support, and they contain two retractable cupholders. There’s a raised seat and belt guides to ensure correct fitting and the back can be removed to leave a group three booster cushion.

Graco ‘Petite’ Bassinet £39.98 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 18 August, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Graco ‘Petite’ Bassinet £39.98 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

Argos Ebay Outlet have the Graco ‘Petite’ Bassinet travel cot on offer for £39.98 including delivery at the moment.

These Graco  cots are a great alternative to large, bulky and permanent cribs, especially if you don’t have a lot of room. We rarely used a cot, but when we did it was a Graco and it’s still in such superb condition that it’ll be used for our new little one too, before being passed on – and if it’s in the same condition after baby number two, I’ll have no qualms selling it.

This Petite version is slightly smaller, and the bassinet is apparently only useful till about 3 months of age,  but then the cot can still be used up to around 13kg.

The cot includes a mattress and a hood canopy, and is made of polyester, with mesh panels.  It folds up for storage, and weighs about 7kg.

Graco Twin Set £11.99 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

Graco Twin Set £11.99 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

Argos’ Ebay Outlet are offering a Graco Twin Set for £11.99 plus £1.99 for postage.

I always hoped for twins, but  since actually having my daughter, have been so grateful for having just one baby at a time. I have major respect for the mums and dads that do it all at once now, with two or more.  And especially if the twins or more come after the first child.  I can just imagine the solo sibling wanting twins of her own though, so this is a great little set if your little ones want twins of their own.

This set from Argos Ebay outlet doesn’t come with the dolls, but you will get a twin deluxe stroller, a twin travel cot, a dolly gym and 9-piece accessory set.  Accessories include bibs, bowls and spoons, hanging chars for the play gym, and what I think are boxes of baby food.

Apparently although the picture shows an older girl, the reviewers feel it’s too small and flimsy for anyone over 3 years old.
Still, most feel it’s good value for money and if you’re really on a tight budget, you could probably even split it into several gifts making it even better value for money.

Graco Baby Delight Swing £44.99 @ Toys R Us

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 10 May, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Graco Baby Delight Swing £44.99 @ Toys R Us

The Graco Baby Delight Swing is half price at £44.99 at Toys R Us at the moment.

The Graco Baby Delight Swing in silver grey is a baby swing made for soothing and lulling your baby to sleep. It has two speed swing action, and the seat has three reclining positions. There’s also a padded toy bar with three soft toys, and the design allows for easy access to the baby.

There’s also a three-point restraint to hold the baby in – to a point! We had one of those flat vibrating chairs and my daughter used to throw herself out of the chair and end up with it on her back like a tortoise. That wasn’t so much fun.

For quite a big swing, this apparently folds up to quite a compact size for storage, folding to 86 x 64 x 28 cm.

Delivery is £4.95, which brings your total to £49.94, so you’d be better off finding something else for just over £5, so you can spend your money on something else for the baby, and get delivery free.

Graco Contour Travel Cot Review

Graco Contour Travel Cot Review

When we were planning our nursery, we realised that the 'box' room was actually too small for the beautiful sleigh cot I had my eye on  and, in fact, the only cot that would fit was a travel cot. As it turned out we never used the nursery, but the cot did spend some time in our room, so its 104 x 73 x 91 cm dimensions really counted in its favour.

The Graco Countour travel cot comes with a bassinet which is suitable from birth until baby can push up on hands and knees. It is really useful to have the bassinet as it definitely saves on your back when you're bending down to pick up your infant.

The mesh sides are great for visibility, so you can actually see the baby through the sides when you're tip-toeing past at nap time. The problem we found with the net, however, was when my daughter turned around seven months old, she would hold the bars, shuffle her feet up the mesh and hang like a bat, which really worried me, so we moved her to a bed instead. This could just be specific to my child though.

The detachable control box is in charge of the light, the music and the vibrations. Apparently some babies love the vibration and it soothes them to sleep, but Kyra didn't. The music is a bit tinny, but acceptable, and the 'white noises' – like running water – worked well to drown out background noise. The light broke one day when I accidentally put it in the wrong way round, and seems quite tough to replace, but it's not a very bright light, so it wasn't really missed.

There's also a detachable toy bar with three hanging toys in beige-ey tones, not very bright or colourful, but apparently that's better for newborns so they're not overstimulated – or something like that.

The travel cot has 7 feet for stability, two of which are actually wheels, so that it can be moved easily, even when it's in the travel bag.

All in, it's a good cot, I'm glad we bought it and used it.

Graco Century Stroller Half Price @ Babies R Us

Graco Century Stroller Half Price @ Babies R Us

Toys R Us are selling this Graco Century Stroller for half price – £29.99 instead of £59.99.

Tavel system, sling or stroller?! There are so many ways to ferry your little one around it can be tricky to know which way to turn.

Each has their own merit but for me, it was the stroller that became king and got used and abused the most. They’re lightweight, small and can be easier to manouevre around town than their big Range Rover equivalent travel system cousins.

This Graco Century Stroller doesn’t do anything fancy and is suitable for littles ones six months or older as the seat has one position only.

It has a simple umbrella fold, dual suspension with front wheels that swivel and can be locked -  on rough terrain you’ll be glad of this feature – it also has a hood, a shopping basket, padded foam handles and that’s it.

The Graco Century Stroller doesn't do anything fancy, it doesn’t have a load of bells and whistles, you can't plug your MP3 into it (I came across a stroller that had that feature once) and it won't cook the dinner for you,  it’s just a good old-fashioned simple stroller – ideal for slinging in the boot of the car and leaving there ready for when you need it.

There are various delivery options – standard delivery takes up to four working days and will cost you £4.95, or you can arrange to click and collect.

Graco Baby Delight Swing £39.99 @ Smyths Toys

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 2 February, 2011 at 11:00 am

Graco Baby Delight Swing £39.99 @ Smyths ToysSmyths Toys have reduced this Graco Baby Delight Swing by £40, making it a much more affordable £39.99.

Baby swings, rocker chairs, bouncy chairs, ANYTHING that has motion is a must, as far as I’m concerned, when you have a baby in the house.

The Graco Baby Delight Swing is compact and portable so you can move it around the house as you go and baby can watch you be busy, whilst they recline and swing in padded luxury – it’s alright for some hey!

It's suitable from birth, the cover is machine washable (very important) and it has two swing speeds.  In addition to that, it had three reclining positions and comes with a padded toy bar and two soft toys.

If you don’t have a Smyths Toys near you then delivery to mainland UK will be £4.25 (sorry Nothern Island and Scottish Islands, it’s more for you) but if you do, and they have it in stock, then you could go and collect it!

Happy baby swinging.

Graco Baby Delight Swing £39.99 @ Smyths Toys

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 5 September, 2010 at 9:00 am

Graco Baby Delight Swing £39.99 @ Smyths ToysGraco is a name you can generally rely on and this Graco Baby Delight Swing is bound to delight your baby, and as it's been reduced by £40 it'll delight your bank balance too!

Baby swings, rocker chairs, bouncy chairs, ANYTHING that has motion is a must, as far as I'm concerned, when you have a baby in the house.

One day, when my youngest was still tiny in a stage 0 car seat, I put him (in it) on top of the tumble dryer which was whirring round and round and he went all quiet and dopey in an instant - it came to the rescue more than once when nothing else would placate him!

Rocker chairs and cradles are great, but sometimes you need to do other things other than sit and be the rocking mechanism. This Graco 'Baby Delight' swing does that for you so you can get on with whatever else you need to do.

It's compact and portable so you can move it around the house as you go and baby can watch you be busy, whilst they recline and swing in padded luxury - it's alright for some hey!

It's suitable from birth and should be £79.99 instead of the £39.99 that Smyths Toys are giving it away for.

If you don't have a Smyths Toys near you then delivery to mainland UK will be £4.25 (sorry Nothern Island and Scottish Islands, it's more for you) but if you do, and they have it in stock, then you could go and collect it!

Happy baby swinging.

Graco Junior Maxi Car Seat £25 @ Asda

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 3 August, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Graco Junior Maxi Car Seat £25 @ AsdaAs part of their Baby Event, Asda have reduced the price from the original £39.97 down to £25 which j u s t sneaks it in for free home delivery, or you can collect it in store if you wish.

I know this Graco Junior Maxi car seat is cheap, but it's ok - it's Graco and as your child gets older the seats DO get cheaper, price is not a reflection of quality in this case.

You get so used to paying through the nose for expensive baby and toddler equipment that when we come across something that doesn't cost the earth, we start eyeing it with a bit of suspicion!

I always loved moving up to this stage of car seat, they are so light and easy to use it's like a breath of fresh air; no more having to fiddle with three-point harnesses and strapping it in to the car through the back and getting the seat belt all twisted etc, HURRAH!

This Graco Junior Maxi car seat has an adjustable headrest with a seatbelt guide to ensure that it always sits in the right place across your child's shoulder. The cover is machine washable and there are pull-out cupholders on each side too - my youngest has this seat in his dad's car and it's fab.  The 177 customer reviews on the Asda website are of the same opinion too.

Graco Logico L high back booster seat - Metro £39.99 @ Mothercare

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 8 July, 2010 at 8:00 pm

Graco Logico L high back booster seat - Metro £39.99 @ MothercareIt seems like every other car seat for children is made by Graco. That's the brand of the first car seat we got for my son, and the one he is using now. Mothercare has the Graco Logico L high back booster seat on half price for £39.99, marked down from £79.99.

When Shelima, over at HUKD, ordered one of these seats, she found that the delivery was free. Mothercare are currently offering free delivery on all orders over £50, so it is possible the site is working from the original ticket price and not the reduced amount.

The Logico converts to a booster seat for an older child. It has a back with side impact protection, and an adjustable headrest. The armrests are also Graco Logico L high back booster seat - Metro £39.99 @ Mothercareadjustable. According to the website this is a multi-position reclining seat with Graco 'pedic foam' for added comfort. There are belt guides to ensure the adult seat belt is positioned correctly. Finally, there are the features that are possibly more interesting to the child - and the parent who wants to keep the back of the car clean. It has a pull-out drink holder, and a snack holder

Graco Junior Maxi Car Seat £12.50 @ Asda

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 9 May, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Graco Junior Maxi Car Seat £12.50 @ Asda With a big age gap, my son is effectively an only child. It is always more fun to have company when going on an outing. Not to mention a lot easier for me so I don’t have to double as mum and playmate. When we go on outings, he usually gets to invite a friend. However, I’m not going to take a child in a car without a car seat. My other half is even stricter about this than me. He won’t take a child in the car without side protection, in case of side impact. So having a spare car seat that fits the bill is a must for us.

Graco Junior Maxi Car Seat £12.50 @ Asda It has come to our ears that the Graco Junior Maxi can be found instore at Asda marked down from £25 to £12.50.  Which is a lot less than Mothercare – the store sells the same model for £44.99 online. The Graco Junior Maxi is a high-backed booster seat, suited to ages 4 to 11 (or 33lb to 79lb). For more information about car seats in general, visit the website Child Car Seats.  It provides some excellent videos, information on the law, and explains all the stuff you need to know about car seats, such as which group fits your child.
