Mega Bloks Need For Speed Porsche £5.98 @ Amazon

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 24 May, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Mega Bloks Need For Speed Porsche £5.98 @ Amazon

This is a fantastic deal. The Mega Bloks Need for Speed Porsche has been reduced from £39.99 to only £5.98 which is an astonishing saving of £34. That is huge! This is a brilliant grab it now gift for that Present Cupboard of yours.

This exclusive buildable Porsche from Need for Speed has authentic Porsche pieces like a roll cage, a functional doorshigh rear foil, and real rubber tyres. It is a brilliant collectors item for parents and kids alike.

There are approximately 638 pieces for hours of building and racing fun and you can customise it down to the very last detail. The set is for kids over the age of eight as the pieces are quite small and the build rather complex.

You even get racing seats and all sorts of clever little extras to make your experience even more entertaining and fun. Either display your car or break it down to build it again.

Wallace & Gromit The Complete Collection Blu-ray £6.02 @ Amazon

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 24 May, 2012 at 4:00 pm

Wallace & Gromit The Complete Collection Blu-ray £6.02 @ Amazon

The Wallace & Gromit Complete Collection is on sale at Amazon for only £6.02. This includes free delivery and is for the Blu-ray collection, not your bog-standard DVD. This is a superb price for a fabulous slice of fun.

The Blu-ray set celebrates the 20th anniversary of Wallace & Gromit and includes all four of their smashing half hour specials. You will get a Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave and A Matter of Loaf and Death.

Which is your favourite Wallace & Gromit? Is it the Wrong Trousers with that totally creepy penguin? Or is it A Matter of Loaf and Death? I have to admit to finding the latter the best, the hilarious ex loaf lady seducing all the bakers in town. And her terrified pooch.

Moshi Monsters Moshling Treehouse £14.97 @ Amazon

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 24 May, 2012 at 3:00 pm

Moshi Monsters Moshling Treehouse £14.97 @ Amazon

Amazon has reduced the price of the Moshi Monsters Moshling Treehouse from £22.99 to £14.97 and it comes with free Super Saver Delivery. This is a nice saving of around £8 which is not bad for such a popular range of toys.

The Moshi Monsters Moshling Treehouse is entirely made out of plastic and it comes with one secret, special Moshling to store away in the branches of the tree. You also get a working pulley, little platforms, stickers and a working door.

I reviewed the Moshling Treehouse back in December as it was pushed as one of the premier Christmas toys for 2011. I must confess that I didn’t rave about it then, and I still wouldn’t rave about it now. The base constantly falls off the bottom of the tree leaving it unbalanced and the platforms and door do the same.

I’d only buy this if you have a Moshi Mad little one who would faint with joy, otherwise look out for something a bit better.

The Chad Valley trampoline is, as you saw, 5ft, and comes with a matching enclosure so you can be assured of the kids playing safely. It is 127x127x163.3cm in size and can take a maximum user weight of 45kgs. It doesn’t need too much in the way of assembly apparently, and it is suited for kids over the age of three.

The price is pretty good, and ideal for outdoor fun especially now that we are all basking in the lovely, lovely sun.

Spears 3D Snakes & Ladders £3.97 @ Tesco

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 20 May, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Spears 3D Snakes & Ladders £3.97 @ Tesco

The classic Snakes & Ladders board game is given a cool 3D twist in this Spears 3D Snakes & Ladders game. And Tesco have decided to join in the fun by shaving £2 off the original price of £5.97 and dropping it to £3.97.

This game is a race around the board to the finish line with wriggly snake slides to fall down and straight ladders to climb up. It looks really cool actually, being able to slide your piece down the board or climb the ladders step by step.

The game is for two to four players and is suitable for kids over the age of five. It doesn’t need batteries or anything awkward like that, and is easy to set up and play. I am definitely thinking of taking advantage of this deal, I reckon it will make a great present as well as hours of family fun at home.

Monster High Scaryoke Microphone £5.70 @ Amazon

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 18 May, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Monster High Scaryoke Microphone £5.70 @ Amazon

The Monster High Scaryoke microphone has been reduced from £19.99 to £5.70 at Amazon. That’s a pretty huge saving of £14.29 and you get free delivery included too.

You can sing, or scream, along to your favourite songs using the Monster High Scaryoke microphone. It features an original Monster High recording along with cool and spooky sound effects which make it into quite an awesome toy.

You also get lights for the scariest performance and it has an MP3 player line-in jack that connects to most MP3 players should you wish to sing along with other tunes. The three batteries needed, AAA, are included in the price and the microphone is best for kids over the age of three.

I am not sure why anyone would pay nearly £20 for this toy, though. It hardly seems worth it and looks like the kind of thing that would get used once or twice and then disappear to a dusty place and never get used again.

National Geographic Mobile £7.50 @ Amazon

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 18 May, 2012 at 4:00 pm

National Geographic Mobile £7.50 @ Amazon

The National Geographic space mobile is down from £29.99 to £7.50 on Amazon at the moment. It comes with their free super saver delivery and you are saving £22.49 off this fun toy.

The National Geographic space mobile brings the history of space exploration to life in your bedroom. The mobile is wonderfully detailed and offers a lovely visual introduction to space flight, which can only be cool, right?

The remote control allows you to light up Earth and start the spaceships orbiting and the National Geographic space mobile also includes models of famous craft such as the space shuttle, international space station and the Apollo Command.

The mobile has eight vehicles, 360 degree rotation, auto shut off, light up planet and needs you to give it four AA and two AAA batteries to make it work, and these are not included in the price. I would not have paid nearly £30 for this, but for under a tenner, it’s a great deal.

Family Of 4, 2 Days Legoland, 1 Night Stay Hilton £131

Family Of 4, 2 Days Legoland, 1 Night Stay Hilton £131

Right, so, if you fancy doing something a little bit fun and different over the next few weeks, then this deal should really make you happy. If you book for a family of four to go to Legoland and you stay one night at the Hilton in Basingstoke, you pay £131 in total which is a whopping saving.

To find the deal what you need to do is go with the large blue welcome box that has 1 Day + 1 Day Free on it, choose your date and how many family members are going, and then select Search Hotels. You will then be given a range of options at a range of prices.

The hotel prices vary from place to place and the Hilton Basingstoke does have a few days where it doesn’t have any spaces, but there is enough variety to net you a really good deal regardless. The one day free deal with Legoland certainly helps and you can book quite far in advance.

Sizzlin’ Cool Meadow Cottage £49.99 @ Toys R Us

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 16 May, 2012 at 4:00 pm

Sizzlin’ Cool Meadow Cottage £49.99 @ Toys R Us

Toys R Us have reduced the price on this truly awesome outdoor toy by half. Originally on sale for £99.99, this Sizzlin’ Cool Meadow Cottage is down to £49.99. A great saving on a very pretty little outdoor fun house.

The recommended age for the Sizzlin’ Cool Meadow Cottage (is it just me who thinks the name is a contradiction in terms?) is two years and up and you will have to spend another 1p to get free delivery which I think is extremely annoying.

This brightly coloured playhouse has a working front door that’s a half split and windows on either side. There is nothing inside the house so you’d have to furnish it yourself, and it does need self assembly when it is delivered flat placked.

The play house is dominant yellow in colour with green and red trim and a red roof, and it looks fairly robust if extremely plasticky. A good save off the original price though.

Kids Freebie: Fab Activity Packs @ Fanta

Kids Freebie: Fab Activity Packs @ Fanta

Yeah, this is not an optical illusion, this is the new Fanta website that comes with all sorts of cool freebies and extras for kids, like their Fanta Fun Packs. These Fanta Fun Packs were created with Linda Barker so that kids and parents can make fun things together and stay entertained.

These free Fanta Fun Packs are a pretty good idea considering that the weather is about to get nasty again. Yes, those two days of sun were IT my friends! So, without further ado why not peek at the free recipes and crafts on the site so you don’t go mad in the rain.

You can whip up a scrummy banana cupcake recipe (yum) or you can get to grips with learning how to stencil with step-by-step instructions. You can either download and print these, or you can follow them onscreen. From toiletry bag ideas to designing a funky t-shirt or learning how to create your own pouffe, everything you need is in there.

What a lovely freebie for the kids!

Playmobile 5873 Fairytale Castle £13.99 @ Argos

by Tamsin Oxford in Deals on 14 May, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Playmobile 5873 Fairytale Castle £13.99 @ Argos

This is such a good deal that I’m struggling not to buy it. Seriously. This is an ideal addition to the Present Cupboard as it is a huge toy with loads of extras that has been reduced to well over 50% of the original price. It used to sell for £39.99 but Argos have it at £13.99 and you can arrange to collect it instore for free.

The Playmobil Fairytale Castle comes with three multicoloured unicorns which are there to be cared for by the fairy queen and princess. These two figures are also included in the set along with a bunch of cool accessories too.

The set is apparently good for helping to develop your child’s motor skills, helps with their social and emotional development, improves their hand-eye co-ordination and encourages creativity. I think that this reduced price is utterly fantastic but have to confess to finding the Playmobil toys silly small and always prone to appearing under bare feet.

Café Press are currently offering 25% off your order as well as free delivery using the voucher code below. You can choose from a huge range of items that can be personalised and styled to your personal choices and this code means you pay a lot less than usual.

I recently ordered some cool Star Trek goodies from Café Press (yes, I am a total geek) and I have to admit that they weren’t as cool as I had hoped they would be. However, their iPhone covers and mugs and other similar items with themed imagery look really good and may make this voucher code worth your while.

To get the 25% discount and free delivery at Café Press just enter the code ROSE at checkout. I think that it is great you can personalise items but have to admit that it is risky considering how crap ours were. The writing was tiny and the fabric very poor.
