LEGO Duplo Bricks And More Large Tub £24.97 @ Tesco Direct

LEGO Duplo Bricks And More Large Tub £24.97 @ Tesco Direct

This big box of LEGO Duplo Bricks is currently £24.97 at Tesco Direct. It’s reduced from £49.99 at Amazon to £29.97, so Tesco is £5 cheaper than Amazon, which seems to be cheaper than anywhere else.

There never seems to be enough LEGO, or a point at which you have too much LEGO, so having 200 pieces added in one go seems a nice little boost.  It’s also a great starting point if you’re just starting a LEGO Duplo collection.

This set contains a wide selection of blocks in different colours and sizes, and comes with two windows which are always useful – but it doesn’t have any other ‘additions’, which, I guess, is what makes it a good starter set.

You can click and collect these for free from Tesco, otherwise standard delivery is £3.00

LEGO Duplo Large Bricks Box £15 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 29 October, 2011 at 9:00 am

LEGO Duplo Large Bricks Box £15 @ AmazonAmazon are selling this box of large Lego Duplo Bricks again - £15, this time,  instead of £25.99.

I'm disappointed! Amazon have removed the 'Assemby required: yes' notice from their description blurb on the LEGO Duplo Large Bricks Box page - that always made me giggle, can you imagine playing with anything LEGO or Duplo that didn't require any assembly?

Inside the sturdy storage box you'll find 71 large Lego Duplo bricks including a block with wheels for budding car designers, a window for future architects to add to their houses, a chunky mini-figure and a random flower pot, plant type thing.

I'm not sure I'd pay £25.99 for them but £15 is much more of a palatable cost for introducing your child to the delights of building with blocks.

My youngest son spent many happy hours playing with LEGO Duplo before he moved on to standard sized LEGO. He dreamt up all sorts of amazing things to build, his imagination never ceased to amaze me. Me? I just liked building houses or castles, I still do - I think I must be a frustrated architect!

However, there can be time when imagination is, temporarily, lacking so tucked inside this LEGO Duplo Large Bricks Box is a little book of 'inspiration' to help you on your way; fabulous

There is currently an addition two-day delay for delivery, hopefully that won't be a huge drama for you.

LEGO Duplo Large Brick Box £15 @ Amazon

LEGO Duplo Large Brick Box £15 @ Amazon

There’s 42% off this Large Brick Box from LEGO Duplo on Amazon. It’s reduced to £15 from £25.99 and, of course, includes free delivery.

These LEGO boxes come on offer every so often and really don’t need much introduction. They are child-safe boxes with basic LEGO Duplo bricks, and this particular box comes with elements needed for special projects – such as window frames, a car chassis and some flowers, if the images are to be believed.

The reviewers for this give it 4.9 stars, which is pretty good, with the only complaint being the usual  one with these boxes: there’s a whole lot of empty space in the box which could have had more bricks.

This Lego Duplo Brick Box is a sturdy box for easy storing and tidying away, and it has a transparent lid – great for a quick peak to see whether  Lego Tigger actually made it into the box. Or maybe that’s just us.

There’s also a building booklet in the box to provide inspiration for all the things you can build with your new blocks.

Lego Duplo Farm Building Set £13.99 @ Argos

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 23 February, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Lego Duplo Farm Building Set £13.99 @ Argos

Argos is currently selling this Lego Duplo Farm Building Set for £13.99, less than half of the original £29.99 – and it's still around that price at Amazon.

We've just 'discovered' Lego Duplo in our house, and while my sixteen month old doesn't quite 'get' the building idea yet, she loves playing with the different minifigs – daddy is the guy in the blue hat, and apparently mummy is the guy in the red hat (not from this set). We have two sets, and the bits are all over the house at the moment, so I'm liking the look of this box with extra storage space.

The Duplo Farm Building Set has bricks in 11 different colours, and included are two Lego Duplo figures, a tractor base, a wagon base, fences, a window and flowers (do all Duplo sets come with flowers? We seem to have quite a collection already!)

The major complaint with this set is that you don't get many bricks for the money, so at less than half price, that should no longer be a problem. As you can imagine, stocks are moving pretty quickly, so you might need to check around your area, but there are still a few stores in my area that have stock. It's not available for home delivery, unfortunately.

Lego Duplo My First Plane £11.13 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 26 January, 2011 at 8:00 am

Lego Duplo My First Plane £11.13 @ AmazonCalling all budding airline pilots!  Get started on your career early with this Lego Duplo My First Plane!

Now this is will appeal to all young areoplane buffs and will make a lovely birthday or 'just because' gift.

I adore chunky toys like this – they are great for little chubby hands just starting to get to grips with everything.

This isn’t something you build, it’s already done for you and doesn’t come apart, so it’s suitable for littlies who haven’t got to grips with construction yet.

The propeller spins around and it comes with a pilot – always handy if you’ve not got your own flying licence – and a passenger.

It also comes with some ordinary Duplo bricks and flowers – I have NO idea what they have to do with anything, to decorate your runway with perhaps…?

It’s currently quite a nice price at Amazon – £11.13 instead of £17.61.

I can’t imagine these fantastic flying machines are going to stay in stock for long, so if you want one GET one now!
