Celebaby: Spotted!

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 3 July, 2010 at 11:00 am

With summer comes sporting events and parties and the opportunites to 'pap' celebrities and their offspring abound - we have a few for you in today's Celebaby.

Spotted!

Celebaby: Spotted!David and Brooklyn Beckham

There must be something in the celebrity water that these kids are being given because they all seem to be growing up overnight! How is Brooklyn Beckham 11 years old already?!

He was spotted coming in to Heathrow with dad, David Beckham, yesterday en route to watch Andy Murray play at Wimbledon and was more than happy to be photographed holding his dad's hand as they walked through Arrivals - I think I would be too if I was 11 years old and had to face the 'Paps'!

The Stefani-Rossdale Gang

Celebaby: Spotted!Gwen, Gav, Kingston and Zuma were spotted making their way to a birthday party late last month (well it IS only the 3 July).

Gavin carried the ENORMOUS gift - I wonder what was in it? -  whilst Gwen carried Zuma as young Kingston (4) strolled alongside.

I have to say I really like Gwen's hair down in this photograph, it's much softer than her usual harsh scraped back up-do,  and she looks rather stunning in that dress too - very boho and summer chic.

Denise Van Outen and Betsy

Celebaby: Spotted!I wonder if you get used to being photographed every time you step out of your front door? I've just gone outside to hang up balloons for my youngest as it's his fourth birthday today and, lucky for me, there wasn't an army of 'togs outside my front gates and photographs of me looking less than glam' aren't going to be appearing in the papers tomorrow!

But if I was DVO then this would most certainly be the case - she was spotted going out for a stoll with Betsy yesterday.

She's quite often spotted out and about pushing the pram and all this regular walking is said to be part of her 'secret' to looking so fab, even during the early months of motherhood - if you've  been there, you'll know exactly how gruelling they can be!

One can only 'hope' she's got some serious bags behind those sunglasses otherwise it's just NOT fair!

Celebaby: $15,000 Birthday Bash and Denise Drops Pounds

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 8 June, 2010 at 11:00 am

Gwen Steffani and hubby, Gavin Rosdale, spent a reported $15,000 on a birthday party for Kingston and you'd never believe Denise Van Outen had only just had a baby!

$15k Birthday Bash

Celebaby: ,000 Birthday Bash and Denise Drops PoundsMy two teenagers are born on the same day, a year apart which has caused various birthday party solutions to be looked at.  The thought of twice the number of screaming toddlers hurling jelly and ice-cream around was NOT appealing, that and twice the cost of course.

The kids have even asked if one of them could 'move' their birthdays and maybe have an official one like the Queen hahaha!!  Erm...no, but nice try!

So in the end we settled for: choose a friend and we'll all go out somewhere and DO something like a trip to London, something to eat and a movie and so it's been ever since.

4-year-old Kingston, however, had over 100 people at his birthday party recently in Los Angeles and cost the princely sum of $15,000.  They had the obligatory bouncy castle (love those), a face painter, a balloon artist, super hero characters wandering around the place and three birds (...yeah, I didn't get the birds either).

Guests included the Beckhams and Kate Beckinsale....I can't help but wonder who these celebrity kiddy birthday parties are really for - the kids or the parents?

Denise Drops Pounds

Celebaby: ,000 Birthday Bash and Denise Drops PoundsNo, not our Great British pounds but baby-weight pounds!  Now we know she always looks fabulous but you'd never ever guess that she'd only been preggars two weeks before these photos were taken en route to David Walliams' wedding.

A little while back she was quoted as saying she wasn't going to be in any hurry to get back to her pre-pregnant gloriousness but she's sure doing a great job of it and super-fast too!

Apparently, the secret lies in having meals delivered that have been carefully crafted, have controlled portions and been specifically designed for nursing mothers.  Customers can sign up for a 10, 30 or 90-day plan and get this, it costs £26.95 a day for two meals or £36.95 a day for three meals and two healthy snacks!  Maybe I'm being naiive here, but is that impossible to do yourself for considerably less money?  I'm just asking...

Dannii Minogue's Fashion Line and Denise Blooming!

by Heidi Scrimgeour in Celebaby on 29 April, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Dannii Minogue's Fashion Line and Denise Blooming! It looks like Dannii Minogue is happy to keep on working with less than three months to go until the birth of her first baby.

The X Factor judge unveiled her own fashion line, called Project D at London's Selfridges store earlier this week.

Dannii wore one of the dresses from her label for the launch - a snazzy black sequinned number which didn't need to be adapted to accommodate her bump.

She told the Daily Mail:

"This one's stretched sequin thankfully so it goes over the bump."

"Being pregnant has completely opened my mind to having to really try different shapes and things I haven't worn before."

"You've got to dress cleverly around it but I've managed to get into my dresses without any alterations."

Dannii's Project D frocks range in price from £210 to £485 and includes day dresses, cocktail chic and red-carpet-ready dresses. Glam though they might be, I don't think they'll be making it onto PlayPennies deal posts!

Dannii Minogue's Fashion Line and Denise Blooming!Meanwhile Denise Van Outen keeps on dazzling us with her pregnancy glow.

The first-time-mum-to-be is expecting a daughter next month.

By the looks of things, Denise is busy enjoying some retail therapy while she counts down to the big day.

Looking forward to kissing goodbye to maternity wear and getting back into some killer heels, perhaps?

We reckon she's been rocking the expectant Mama look.

But if she's in the market for some post-pregnancy clothes, maybe she should check out Dannii's new line?

Celebaby: Cam Gigandet and DVO Maternity

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 27 March, 2010 at 12:00 pm

In today's Celebaby we have Cam Gigandet for us PlayPennies mums and Denise Van Outen for the dads (and the mums!) *grin*

Cam Gigandet - forget hot mamas...he's a HOT papa!

Celebaby: Cam Gigandet and DVO MaternityHold on to your hearts ladies because here's one of the hottest dads around (apart from the one to our own children of course....)

Cam Gigandet is hot poperty and you'll probably know him best from The O.C and playing BAD vampire James in Twilight.

Celebaby: Cam Gigandet and DVO MaternityHe was spotted out about having coffee in Los Angeles recently with his girlfriend Dominique Geisendorff and their b e a u t i f u l little daughter, Everleigh - isn't that a stunning name!  Unsual but elegant and understated and I don't think she was drinking coffee...

There are few things more alluring than a man who's totally smitten with the women in his life!

DVO Maternity Wear

Celebaby: Cam Gigandet and DVO MaternityIn theory, Denis Van Outen should be loved by men and loathed by women - she's talented, she's STUNNING, she's funny, she's clever, she's an independent career woman, she's stylish and she's got a hot husband (ok, maybe the men won't be so keen on that bit) BUT men fancy her something rotten and us women ADORE her!

Looking nothing less than fabulous when preggo too (ok...actually, maybe I'm not liking her so much the more I carry on...would it have been too much to ask that she looked less than jaw-droppingly beautiful at least once!) the lovely Denise has launched her new maternity range 'DVO'.

Celebaby: Cam Gigandet and DVO MaternityAt a recent press launch she said...

"I am so excited about the new maternity collection I have created with very.co.uk.  It is designed for expectant mums, who want to be comfortable during their pregnancy, but don't want to compromise on style.

The collection is a mix of glamorous dresses and lounge wear with every piece made in soft and stretchy fabrics - perfect for gentle exercise and also for wearing post pregnancy.”

The 16-piece collection is going to be available in sizes 8 to 20 and launches on Very today (27 March) and I've just had a quick scoot over there to have a look and at the moment there are only three dresses on the website.

They're lovely though and the price pitch is perfect in my opinion; if the rest of the collection is as good then I'd say Denise has come up trumps again!

Celebaby: Blooming Lovely!

Celebaby: Blooming Lovely!

Expectant Mum Denise Van Outen was snapped today looking pretty snazzy with a defininte hint of a bump appearing.

Her baby is due in May, and Denise and husband Lee Mead have nicknamed the baby Teapot, at the suggestion of their friend's little girl!

DVO is also expecting a little girl, and as well  as that she's also bringing out a line of maternity wear and a book about pregnancy health.

According to the Daily Mail, her maternity line will be available from the end of the month at www.very.co.uk. If it's anything like as stylish as Denise herself, we reckon it'll be worth a look.

Celebaby: Denise Van Outen Axed For Being Pregnant

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 22 February, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Celebaby: Denise Van Outen Axed For Being PregnantSo...you're beautiful, well-known, you're good at your job, you know what you're talking about and the nation loves you - you're HIRED!  OH, hang on...you're pregnant too - you're FIRED!

It's been reported that Denise Van Outen has been axed by the BBC from the new Andrew Lloyd-Webber search-for-a-musical-star show 'Over the Rainbow' - this time he's on the hunt for a new Dorothy...heaven help us all!

Apparently with only a few days to go before filming got underway Denise, who had hoped to be invited back to be a judge on the show, was told by a senior producer that this wouldn't be the case because, and this is the quote that's being widely reported, "You’re pregnant, so of course there’s no way you can do the show’.

Under employment law a heavily pregnant woman can be refused employment if it's considered that the work will be too dangerous for her to do; but Denise, 35,  isn't expecting her little girl to arrive until May, she feels fit and healthy and sitting in a chair passing comment on fame-seeking wannabees hardly falls into the danger category does it!

Celebaby: Denise Van Outen Axed For Being PregnantThe Beeb have said that none of the previous judges are being brought back for this show and their decision not to hire Denise has nothing to do with her being preggars...but come on, they're hardly going to breakdown, confess that, yes, she's not being brought back because she's expecting and beg for forgiveness.

A not-pregnant-and-12-years-younger-than-Van-Outen Charlotte Church is being tipped as her 'replacement' - heaven help us all again....I think I might be washing my hair on Saturday nights!

Whatever the truth is behind this story it does raise the ugly question, again, as to how MANY women are being denied jobs or discriminated against in the workplace simply because they're pregnant?
