Kenwood FP196 Food Processor £29.99 @ Comet

Kenwood FP196 Food Processor £29.99 @ Comet

I rather want this deal for myself today, I am desperate for a decent food processor. This Kenwood FP196 food processor is down from the heavy £59.99 to a much tastier £29.99 and you can arrange to reserve and collect instore if you prefer.

The cost of the item comes with one year of cover included and you get a rather brilliant food processor in the process. The Kenwood is a versatile and compact traditional food processor that has a one litre capacity liquidiser and plenty of extras included.

There are six attachments that you can use and it has a stylish chrome finish that should complement most kitchens nicely. There is a chopping blade, a shredding disc, a slicing disc, it crushes ice, has a whisk attachment and many of the parts are dishwasher proof too.

You can also lock the Kenwood food processor for safety purposes and the cord can be stored internally. Very nice for the price indeed.

Apple iPad 32GB £379 @ Comet

Apple iPad 32GB £379 @ Comet

The Apple iPad2 has just been launched so you can see the prices collapsing on the original iPad all around. This particular deal is excellent as the iPad 32GB with Wi-Fi is usually far more expensive than this tasty £379. You are saving £111 off the original price!

I may hate the name of these technology devices, but I do love the way they work. You’re probably wondering why I am writing about an iPad deal on a parenting site. Here’s why – they are absolutely brilliant for parents.

The sheer number of educational apps that exist for the iPad are incredible, and they are also really good. My daughter’s reading and word recognition have come along in leaps and bounds thanks to the educational apps on the iPad.

Add to this the fact that you can check your mail at any time, that you can have diary apps, Angry Birds, games, and so much more in a light and slim package that will fit into your nappy changing bag. I am not a fan of Apple, but I am a fan of the iPad.

The best, most time saving device I ever invested in when I became a parent was a really decent vacuum. OK it wasn't a Dyson, but after using a friend's one while staying her house (and being the good guest) I have to say I'm smitten. It is easy to use, but mostly I loved being able to simply tip out the contents of the canister with ease as soon as I finished. No dirty rubbish sitting about in the vacuum for goodness knows how long. And the suction was pretty much all it is hyped up to be as well!

This promotion code provides 25% off Dyson bagless vacuums, when you trade in your old cleaner, and is also deducted from sale prices.

There is no expiry. I called Comet to check and was Comet Electricals Promotion Code: 25% Off Dysontold that simply, they'll run it, as long as Dyson allow them to. Delivery is free on the vacuums. If you do have it delivered to your home, you'll need to take the old vacuum cleaner along to a store at a later point under your own steam.

Philips Whole Fruit Juicer (RRP£99.99) £29.99 @ CometAhhh, January is nearly upon us. The month of diets and detoxing. Groo. So how about a shiny new gadget to help you ease into a healthy new regime?

This Philips Juicer has 650 watts of power and a snazzy stainless steel finish. It's a 2 speed centrifugal juice extractor with pulse control, which basically means you can pulverise pretty much any fruit or vegetable and end up with a glass of super-healthy juice. Apparently you can hold a glass straight underneath the spout to collect your fresh jPhilips Whole Fruit Juicer (RRP£99.99) £29.99 @ Cometuice.

This has to be a winner when it comes to persuading little people to get their 5 a day. Most kids will turn their nose up at vegetables - but what if you let them juicie them first? It's got to be worth a try. They might refuse to  eat boiled carrots but whizz one up with an apple and tell them it's magic orange juice and I bet they'll be tempted. Fab price, too.
