Cleudo London Edition £9.44 @ Amazon

Cleudo London Edition £9.44 @ AmazonAmazon are selling this Cluedo London edition for £9.44 instead of £24.99.

I have very fond memories of playing standard Cluedo as a child and an adult: as a child, I just loved playing it with my mum (she's a bit of a Cluedo fan to this very day) and as an adult...well somehow it turned into playing it in the 'opera style': you had to sing your guesses in the most dramatic opera voice possible (a lot of alcohol had been consumed when it was decided this would be a fun way to play, you can tell!).

But instead of the usual 'Colonel Mustard, with the lead piping, in the library!' predictions, it'll be something more like this: the Mayor, in the Tower of London, with a run-away taxi! (I made up the run-away taxi bit, it might an option but I rather doubt it.).

All of the usual Amazon delivery options are available to you - I'm sure you all know what they are by now, but just in case: FREEEE with the SuperSaver option, or various extra pounds for super speedy delivery.

Harry Potter Cluedo £15.99 @ Argos

Harry Potter Cluedo £15.99 @ Argos

For lovers of Harry Potter and lovers of Cluedo, the two meet in this game set for £15.99 at Argos, usually RRP £19.99, or £28.00 at Amazon.

The basis of this game is the same as the traditional Cluedo. You still move around trying to figure out who did it, with what weapon and where, but now we're not in some stuffy old manor – we're in Hogwarts!

When a student disappears from the school, players use the characters Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna or Neville to find how, when and what spell was used to attack the student. This variant, while loosely based on the reinvention makeover, is a major departure from traditional game play and constitutes a spin-off in its own right, as it includes along with the standard compliment of equipment, Help cards, Dark cards, Mystery cards, house point tokens (the loss of which can eliminate a player from a game), and a variable configuration game board which changes during the course of play.

When the dark mark appears various events happen that would cause the unprepared players to lose valuable house points, lose them all and you are out of the game.

It sounds like a lot of fun for anyone who would love to be a part of the Harry Potter cast!

The game is suitable for three to five players ages nine and over.

Harry Potter Cluedo £9.99 @

Harry Potter Cluedo £9.99 @ Play.comWell this could be my mum's birthday or Crimbo pressie sorted out...

...not only is she an avid fan of the classic whodunnit game but she's a HUGE Harry Potter fan too - we had a Harry Potter themed Christmas once, she made us all these amazing wizard hats and everything!

I liked Cluedo as a kid but how much fun is it going to be playing the Harry Potter version! I think it was Professor Snape in the restricted section with the Avada Kedavra spell!" utter genius!  Actually it's not quite that - the object of this game is to figure out which Hogwarts student cast which forbidden spell in which part of the school; it's close enough.

The board comes with all the usual bits and pieces you'd expect but with an HP twist there are:

  • 2 special dice
  • 6 wizard hat pawns
  • 1 ghost pawn
  • 10 Hogwarts event cards
  • 6 character cards
  • 6 magic cards
  • 9 room cards
  • 2 summary cards
  • Check list pad

and a 'Fluffy' holder for storing the cards that reveal the who, the what and the where (he was the three-headed dog in the Philosopher's Stone remember?).

Play have reduced this from £19.99 to £9.99 and it's a GREAT price,  it's selling for a fair bit more everywhere else, and delivery as usual them is FREEEEEE.
