The boys school shoes are the Caldwell BL range with a lace detal in the front and some cool stitching designs around the body of the shoe. These bootleg shoes are for boys who want a smart look for school. The durable style comes in black dyed-through leather to help prevent scuffs and scrapes and the shoes are available in half sizes too.

Currently the sizes on sale for this lovely low price are 3, 3 ½, 6 ½ and 7. Not a lot of variety here, I’m afraid. Also, the width sizes available are only F and G. Good luck!

The Daisy Lady Jr shoes are deep fuchsia in colour with a patent finish. An adorable little bow and diamante stud detail finish off the t-bar strap that runs across the front of the shoes, and there’s a lovely soft fabric lining along the inside to match the bow.

These adorable party shoes have removable girly accessories too! And the cotton lining has cute little daisies printed on it. Each pair also comes with two Daisy and Friends dolls hidden in the heels plus a Daisy passport and a sticker sheet.

I love the fact that the dolls are hidden inside the shoes, although when I saw them instore I couldn’t figure out if you were supposed to take them out or not. If not, it seems a bit creepy to be crushing a doll every time you walk. Or is that just me?

I've said before that I didn't really know much about children until I had one. It has come as a great shock to me how quickly baby feet grow! Shoes that were bought for my daughter's birthday in October are now only good for her dolls and shoes I intended on packing away for next year, and never quite got round to, are now the flavour of the month!

I don't know why I'm still surprised that my kids' shoes all cost the same as mine...if not more!

It doesn't matter if I'm buying pairs of the 16-year-old or the four-year-old, my bank manager still weeps in the corner. The only comfort to be found is in the knowledge that all other parents in the shoe shop are feeling my pain.

So when an (up to) 40% discount on Clarks kids shoes comes up, it seems daft not to have a look; it's nearly half price and I'm definitely up for half price anything!

There is a nice selection of little trainers for both boys and girls included in the sale and, being Clarks, you know that they're going to be good quality. Most of the trainers have been reduced down from £25.00 to £15.00.

While the range of back to school shoes at Clarks is not the cheapest around, it is one of the sturdiest. I am of the belief that it is far better to fork out that little bit more and to have the shoes for longer. A pair of gorgeous purple boots I bought for my daughter last year still look pristine. And, for my family, that’s really saying something.

As far as I can see, the prices range from around £26 upwards and include some cute little designs. Although am bewildered that the really plain shoes cost more than some of the frilly ones. I am also asking why it is that boys get these awesome trainer style shoes with zips and all, when girls get these frippy things that won’t keep their feet as warm. Grrr.

Clarks won't deliver kids shoes to your home so you'll have to collect those from your nearest store; order the shoes, they'll be delivered to the store within five working days (they'll let you know by text or email when they've arrived), you go in to try them on and then decide if you want them or not.

It sounds like a bit of a faff to me but handy if you want to pay cash, know the sizes you want and your store doesn't have them in stock.
