Chicco Teddy Count With Me £19.99 @ Toys R Us

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 30 August, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Chicco Teddy Count With Me £19.99 @ Toys R Us

There’s £10 off the Chicco Count With Me Teddy at Toys R Us.  You still have to add £4.95 postage, bringing the total to £24.94.

I have doubts about the true educational nature of educational toys, sometimes, but I must admit that some of the counting or talking toys my little girl has played with over the last two years have definitely had a role to play in her understanding and recognition of letters, numbers and objects.

This Chicco Count With Me Teddy is a great baby toy to help familiarise children with words and numbers in English and also in French. If you press the tummy, hands and feet, it plays different letters and numbers. It also plays nursery rhymes which you can sing along to. And even without the sounds, the teddy is soft and cuddly, making it a lovely toy for babies.

The Count With Me teddy takes 3 AA batteries, which are included.

Chicco Talking Garden Activity Table £29.99 @ Home Bargains

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 8 August, 2011 at 9:00 am

Chicco Talking Garden Activity Table £29.99 @ Home BargainsHome Bargains have knocked £30 off the rrp of this Chicco Talking Garden Activity Table, making it £29.99 now instead of £59.99.

I do like a good activity table and having read through the spec' for this Chicco Talking Garden activity table, it ticks all the boxes for me.

The Chicco Talking Garden activity table is a bilingual table and has lots of activities and features that will help your baby become familiar with words in both English and French.

There are two modes - the Language Learning Mode where your child can discover the alphabet from A right through to Z, numbers 1-10, shapes, colors, opposites and textures, as well as several first words with the help of the fun songs and characters.

Mode two is the Music Play Mode - in this mode your young one can play with melodies, fun sound effects and nursery rhyme songs.

There are of course the usual flashing lights, bells, dings, sounds and whistles to captivate attention and teach cause and effect.

The legs are removable too, which makes the Chicco Talking Garden activity table convenient to store, easy to take out and about with you and allows for play on the floor.

It's suitable for littlies aged 12 months and over and requires 3 AA batteries, which are included.

C'est tres bon!

Chicco Mia Bouncer £49.99 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 2 May, 2011 at 11:00 am

Chicco Mia Bouncer £49.99 @ AmazonAmazon are currently selling this 'Mrs Owl' Chicco Mia Bouncer for £49.99 instead of £69.99.

A bouncy, or rocking, chair of some description is one of the things I’d put on a must-have list of baby equipment. All three of my children spent a lot of time in bouncy chairs when they were small, and I could get quite militant with people who say they don’t need one.

Ok, so NEED is debatable but your life will be sooo much easier if you have one and that alone should make it a compulsory purchase!

The Mrs Owl Chicco Mia Bouncer is suitable from birth up to 9kgs or until your little one can sit up unaided.

The booster cushion is ergonomic, ultra-soft and is modular  so it can be adjusted to make sure your baby stays comfortable as they grow.  There are three hanging soft toys designed to stimulate your child's  senses of touch, sight and sound.

The multi-position backrest is adjustable too so in different positions your baby can relax, play or eat in the Mrs Owl Chicco Mia Bouncer.

If that isn't enough for you then it also has an adjustable leg rest, fabric carry handles, and can be used as either a fixed position or rocker chair, using the single action control at the rear and finally, it fold completely flat for storage or travel; marvellous!

I'd buy this in an instant, it has and does everything I'd need it to if I was still in 'baby land' and it looks good too.

This is an Amazon deal of the week so the price is fixed at £49.99 until 11.59pm on Sunday 8 May.

Happy Bouncing!

Chicco Talking Driver £14.99 @ Toys R Us

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 1 May, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Chicco Talking Driver £14.99 @ Toys R Us

The bilingual French and English Chicco Talking Driver toy at Toys R Us is half price at £14.99 – this doesn’t include delivery, which is an additional £4.95 but you’ll pay £29.99 for it at Amazon and over £30 at Play.com

My daughter had a similar driving toy when she was a year old and she loved it. It didn’t have the bilingual element but she loved the buttons, the ‘gears’ and the different sounds it made and I was rather surprised that it kept her entertained for more than six months.

Janeta on Amazon says, “I bought this for my 2 year old grandson who is the original "Gadget Man". He loves to turn knobs, pull levers and find out how things work. This toy was ideal for him as there are plenty of things on it that make noises or light up. It is a good size for a toddler and seems quite sturdy.”

Your child can ‘start’ the car, change gears and drive with familiar car sounds to entertain them. They then reach destinations, like the supermarket and discover a world of sounds, words and phrases that are intended to encourage use of language skills.

Chicco 360 Table Seat £29.97 @ Kiddicare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 13 March, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Chicco 360 Table Seat £29.97 @ Kiddicare

The Chicco 360 Table Seat is the perfect high chair alternative and it's currently £29.97 at Kiddicare – that's £30.02 less. Annoyingly, that .02p means you're going to have to either buy something else to push you over the £29.99 threshold for free postage, or pay £4.95 for postage.

The Chicco 360 is the only table seat that can rotate through 360° in 6 different positions. It has a hook-on system which easily adapts to fit all types of table, which makes it ideal if you have a small house or kitchen as there's no chunky high chair to trip over.

The Chicco 360 has a hook-on system which easily adapts to all types of tables as it is fitted with a dual adjuster system. That, and the fact that this is a very compact seat when closed makes it ideal for travel.

Babies are messy eaters so, usefully, the seat lining can be completely removed and the fabric part is machine washable.

The table seat is suitable from six months and one of the reviewers still uses it for her 4 year old.

Chicco Magic Blocks Container Cube £20 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 15 February, 2011 at 9:00 am

Chicco Magic Blocks Container Cube £20 @ AmazonAmazon are selling this Chicco Magic Blocks Container Cube for half-price (£20) - it's full price is £39.99

I've never seen this Chicco Magic Blocks Container Cube before; without being able to guage its size it's tricky to say whether or not I'd pay the full price for it, probably not to be honest, but for £20 it doesn't look too bad.

This is a toy for real littlies - nine months and over little people in fact.

At this age everything's exciting but generally they can't go anywhere, unless you've got an early crawler, so stacking toys that topple over aren't always the best as the 'bits' can fall out of reach.

This Chicco Magic Blocks Container Cube has dual function blocks - the red connector is magnetic so they'll jump together and stay put when close to each other, and the yellow connector is a traditional 'push it together' yourself one, if you get my drift.

The container is a character in his own right, has a cheery, friendly face on the front and can be pulled along when your child is mobile and discovers the joys of pull-along toys.

The Chicco Magic Blocks Container Cube comes with four character blocks and 10 decorated ones, giving you 14 in total.

Amazon are currently selling the blocks for the Chicco Magic Blocks Container Cube at half-price too.

Chicco Soft Relax Bouncing Chair £14.99 @ Tesco Direct

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 29 September, 2010 at 8:00 am

Chicco Soft Relax Bouncing Chair £14.99 @ Tesco DirectLadies and gents, have I got a bargain for YOU this morning! Tesco Direct have Chicco 'Soft Relax' bouncing chairs for £14.99 - they are currently £50 in John Lewis and £45 over at Kiddicare!

If I was asked to make a list of 'Absolutely MUST HAVE' baby equipment, then the bouncy chair would be in the top three.

They are so incredibly useful I really do tend to start waxing lyrical about them. They don't have to play songs, vibrate or bounce on their own under battery power (although you can have one with these features if you really want them), they can just be simple.

This Chicco Soft Relax bouncy chair IS nice and simple - it's one of those 'does what it says on the tin' products; it's soft, it relaxes and it bounces!

It has a multi-position reclining back rest, you can adjust the foot rest too and it has a three-point safety lap harness.

The cover is nicely padded and can be whipped off and thrown in the wash (hand wash only, folks); it also has a padded head hugger seat insert for when your little one is tiny.

Not only that, it folds completely flat for storage.

Delivery with Tesco Direct is £5.95 (pah!) but you can always collect it in store for freee.

Chicco Multiway Stroller £84.99 @ BambinoDirect

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 26 March, 2010 at 11:00 am

Chicco Multiway Stroller £84.99 @ BambinoDirectI love the word 'stroller' - it just conjures up such a lovely mental image in my mind.

Warm summer evenings stolling along, your baby is fast asleep, the birds are beginning to quieten down and the air is warm and heavy with the sweet smell of cut grass; see, all of that from the word 'stroller'!

OK so that won't work if you live in the middle of London but if you get out the countryside for a stroll and maybe dinner in a quaint little village pub on the weekend....?  I'm doing my best for you here, but whether you live in town or the country, strollers are just fab and this Chicco multiway one for £84.99 is a great price.

I quickly learned that whilst big chunky travel systems are great, strollers are far easier, lighter and more compact to deal with.

This one is suitable from birth and comes with all the things you want and need:

  • removable head padding
  • matching footmuff/apron
  • ergonomic non-slip handles
  • lockable large chunky swivel wheels
  • five point harness
  • four position recline

Delivery is free to the UK mainland (sorry Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland people); happy strolling!
