Toy Story Buzz Gazillion Bubble Blower £7.50 @ The Entertainer

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 3 August, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Toy Story Buzz Gazillion Bubble Blower £7.50 @ The Entertainer

The Toy Story Buzz Gazillion Bubble Blower is currently £7.50 at The Entertainer, which is a 50% saving. It’s also one of the cheapest prices around with prices starting at £13.99 in other places.

My daughter absolutely loves bubbles, and we can have hours of fun in the garden with me blowing bubbles and her chasing them. I also have some absolutely beautiful photos of her chasing bubbles with a look of absolute wonder on her face. I must admit though that it does sometimes get a bit boring, so I’m thinking this might be a wonderful invention to keep her entertained – although I wonder if it’ll be as much fun for her if I’m not playing along?

Either way, this Toy Story Buzz Gazillion Bubble Blower comes with a bubble solution, and creates an ‘endless stream of bubbles’. It requires 3 AA batteries  which aren’t included.

This is also available in Winnie the Pooh, which I think will be a brilliant addition to my daughter’s birthday party – especially at this price – it’s also £7.50 but only requires two batteries.

Toy Story 3 Buzz Operation £7.99 @ Amazon

Toy Story 3 Buzz Operation £7.99 @ Amazon

This Toy Story edition of the classic game of Operation is £7.99 at Amazon, a 50% discount on the original £15.99

I remember regularly visiting a kid in hospital when I was a child myself, and we always played Operation. I don’t know why, but it was his favourite game, so there you go – we played Operation every time we visited. I didn’t know they did a Toy Story version, but this one looks quite fun.

You  get to fix Buzz Lightyear’s body parts, but if you tap the sides, Buzz Lightyear will have an asteroid attack and you’ll hear his laser sounds.

The set includes a storage drawer too store all of Buzz’s parts.  Also included are tweezers, 24 cards, 12 plastic anatomy parts, play money and a gameboard with Buzz the Patient.

Yip, that sounds different to the game we played at the hospital too – in this version, the cards have tasks on them, which tells you what piece to extract. If you do the extraction correction, you win the play money. Some of the reviewers think its even better than the original game, but others say it’s too hard for a child.

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 3 December, 2010 at 6:00 pm

Klip Kitz Buzz Lightyear & Woody £5 @ AmazonToy Story 3 is on just about every kid's Christmas list that I know! I've never seen Klip Kitz stuff before, but parents that have it say it is really good. So I'm not sure exactly how these sets work! They certainly look interesting though. And anything that keeps the kids occupied on their own on Christmas day is good enough for me. Klip Kitz Toy Story Sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear are reduced from £9.99 to £5 at Amazon.

The Toy Sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear Klip Kitz concept uses pre-painted, snap fit components that simply require a snap to securely fix the pieces together. The final feature is to lock all the elements into place using a locking key. The figure can be rebuilt time and time again by un-locking and re-locking the parts together again. No messy gluing, no small fiddly parts, no painting required! Create and display your Sheriff Woody with no complication or fuss! For ages five plus.

Vtech Buzz Lightyear Digital Camera And Bag £39.39 @ Amazon

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 22 November, 2010 at 7:00 pm

Vtech Buzz Lightyear Digital Camera And Bag £39.39 @ AmazonDigital cameras for little ones are simply great and this Vtech Buzz Lightyear Digital Camera comes with a bag, all for just £39.39 – a 34% saving. The  next best retailer price I could find was £54.97.

It's not often that any of us get to write about Vtech products, as Sarah here at PlayPennies HQ normally nabs anything from them, but this time I got me a Vtech deal! Sorry Sarah!

Okay, so this isn't the greatest camera ever designed, but with the 1.8” LCD screen and 2.0 megapixel resolution and a 1.5 – 8 foot flash range, it's just fine for little ones. It has a 256MB built-in memory, but can take up to a 16GB SD or SDHC memory card – enough for about 500 photos or 10 minutes of video.

It comes with an A/V cable for TV connection, and a USB cable for PC Connection. There's also photo editing software for extra fun.

At 239g the Vtech Buzz Lightyear digital camera is perfectly light for little hands, and it's robust and sturdy casing should protect it from inevitable knocks and bumps.

So why buy a kiddie camera, rather than just a cheap digital camera? Well, exactly that – it's robust and will probably last a little longer.

At such a good price and with free delivery, this'll make a great Christmas present!

Toy Story Toddler Bed £97.99 @ Amazon

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 2 November, 2010 at 7:00 pm

Toy Story Toddler Bed £97.99 @ Amazon

The toddler world seems to have been Toy Story crazy for some time now, for good reason. If you're parent, grandparent or vague blood relative – or not – of a Toy Story fan, this toddler bed from Amazon for £97.99, a £42.00 saving, is sure to put you at the top of the favourites list.

The three year old son of a good friend of mine is Buzz Lightyear obsessed. He has driven his mother to near distraction as he “infinity and beyond”'s himself down stairs, around corners and off of beds. His bedroom is full of Buzz Lightyear, his Buzz lunch box and Buzz drinks bottle go in his Buzz backpack – you get the picture. I won't be surprised if the next thing on his Buzz Lightyear list is this bed!

The main bed is made of a sturdy tubular steel and head and foot boards have great big Buzz Lightyear prints on them, while the side panels prevent any accidental falling out. The bed includes a detachable side table with a cup and book holder, as well as two zipped printed fabric under bed storage drawers.

Unfortunately the mattress, which will set you back a further £38.99, and bedding are not included, but Amazon do have great offers on some of these too, such as the Character World Toy Story 3 Duvet currently on offer for £8.50

Buzz Lightyear Lights And Sounds Projection Alarm £12.99 @ Play

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 2 October, 2010 at 1:00 pm

Buzz Lightyear Lights And Sounds Projection Alarm £12.99 @ PlayLook at telling the time a different way with this Buzz Lightyear 'Lights and Sounds' projection alarm.

I first came across projection clocks last year - almost a year to the day in fact! - and I was quite mesemerised by it!

The time was projected onto the ceiling and I'm not sure if the novelty would ever wear off - the one that I encountered was rather expensive but was added to my 'would quite like to have' list...I don't have one yet (did I mention it's my birthday later this month...I don't want a Buzz Lightyear one though, ok?).

Buzz Lightyear is poseable and will stand guard in your child's room projecting the time on to their ceiling; for the alarm he utters the following iconic Buzz phrases:

  • To infinity and beyond!
  • This is an intergalatic emergency. I need to commandeer your vessel to sector 12.
  • Mayday. Mayday! Come in Star Command send reinforcements. Star Command, do you copy?

He should be £29.99 but you can pick him up for £12.99, including delivery, from Play.

He doesn't appear to plug in to the mains and needs 3 AA batteries to work - I'd invest in some rechargeable ones if I were you, or take out shares in Duracell (other leading battery brands are available *grin*).

VTech Buzz Lightyear 'Talk & Teach' Buzz Phone £15.84 @ Amazon

VTech Buzz Lightyear 'Talk & Teach' Buzz Phone £15.84 @ AmazonGot a Buzz Lightyear fan in your house? They might like this VTech Buzz Lightyear 'Talk and Teach' Buzz phone then!

I don't know how many times I've bought pressies for Christmas w a y in advance and tucked them away somewhere safe until the big day.

There's a trick to doing this though, and that's make a LIST of everything you've bought early! Otherwise you can forget and a few lucky people end up with LOADS of pressies because you forgot you'd already got them something (it's my tip of the day!).

Anyway, back to Buzz!

He's been reduced from £21.99 down to £13.14; he requires 3 AA batteries, which are included so you don't have to worry about buying those, and Amazon will deliver him to you for free if you choose the SuperSaver option.

He will teach your child numbers, logic, memory and the Toy Story characters.  He has three modes of play and lots of flashing lights, sounds and beeps to keep your child engaged with him.

VTech Buzz Lightyear 'Talk & Teach' Buzz Phone £15.84 @ AmazonHe has buttons 0 - 9 and the voice is actually that of Buzz Lightyear (you did know he was real, right?) and there are also voice changing effects (alien, monster and robot), which generally tend to cause a great deal of hilarity for youngsters.

Buzz Lightyear Rescue Buddy £5.99 @ Play.com

by Heidi Scrimgeour in Deals on 9 January, 2010 at 10:02 am

Usually £15.99, this Toy Story toy is now £5.99 with free delivery at Play.com.Buzz Lightyear Rescue Buddy £5.99 @ Play.com

There isn't a whole lot of information about this toy on the Play.com website, and no customer reviews as yet, so we'd love to know what it's like if you've got one.

The rescue buggy comes with the ever popular Buzz Lightyear character.

As you'd expect with Buzz Lightyear in the driving seat, this is no ordinary vehicle. Oh no, it also features a pull back and go motion system along with a wacky bobbling body.

But it seems like a good deal at £5.99 and it's always satisfying to know you've saved a tenner on something. Plus if your kids are anything like mine, this will be a hit for three reasons; (1) it features one of their favourite toy superheroes, (2) it's a vehicle with wheels that work and it actually 'goes' of its own accord and (3) there's a rescue theme involved.

I can picture the scene now - in a matter of minutes they'd have lined up every Lego man and Star Wars character in our house to orchestrate a rescue mission of epic proportions. Which means I'd at least have time for a cup of tea and flick through the paper. Love it.
