I tested it out on a pair of men's Gola Guile trainers in the sale. These were marked down from £20 to £14. The code took another £2.80 off that. As I was having them home delivered, instead of collecting from a store, there was a £2.95 delivery charge. So in total, the shoes cost £14.15.

ommy’s is the charity that funds medical research into pregnancy complications and provides free health information on miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. Since 27 February, Tommy’s has been running a New For Old campaign with Brantano Footwear to raise money for research.

The concept is really simple. You take a pair of old shoes, in any condition, to a local Brantano Footwear store and you’ll get a £10 off voucher to redeem against any purchases of £40 or more. Brantano will also donate 20p to Tommy’s for every pair of shoes handed in which will be used to fund research into pregnancy issues and to helping parents across the UK.

Home delivery costs a very reasonable £2.95, while store delivery is free. Brantano has 150 shops, nationwide.

To view the sale items, click on Sale on the right hand panel on the Home page. If you can't see it, scroll down the page till you see the Kids sale section. Click on it, then on the relevant category. Other posters over at our sister site said they got Clarks shoes, however there weren't any in the Boys size 10 - 2 section when I looked (or in any other section) so I guess I wasn't quick enough.

There's not a lot on there for boys, but I did spot a very nice pair of Skechers for a boy, reduced from £35 to £24. If you've got an older girl though, you'll be able to find some very nice stocking fillers on here. There's a few pages of reduced shoes in this category, including Winter boots.
