Bop It

Travel Bop It £4.99 @ Argos

Travel Bop It £4.99 @ ArgosArgos are selling this rather cute Travel Bop It for half price, it's £4.99 at the moment instead of £10.19.

Ooooh a Travel Bop It! If you've not played Bop It before then this won't be the best introduction to one of the most addictive electronic games I've come across in a long time but, if you have  a Bop It already then this Travel Bop It is probably already in your  Argos shopping basket.

For the uninitiated, Travel Bop It is a small pocket-sized version of its bigger brother - which has various activity knobs on the Bop it: twist it, pull it, flick it, spin it and a big round Bop It button on the middle.

Travel Bop It has some of these along with a new SHOUT IT instruction.  Bop It issues an instruction, "BOP IT!" and you have to do what it says.  Then it will give you two instructions, "BOP IT! Flick it!" and so on.

All of these are done to various funky rhythms and it is COOL.  My eldest son got a full size Bop It a fair few Christmases ago (they didn't make a Travel Bop It then) and everyone spent hours playing with it over the holidays.

If you're a Bop It lover and have been frustrated at not being able to Bop It on the move, because your full sized Bop It is too big, then grab yourself a Travel Bop It and be frustrated no more!

3 For 2 On Hasbro Games @ Smyths

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 9 November, 2011 at 12:00 pm

3 For 2 On Hasbro Games @ SmythsHasbro games make for great family fun at Christmas time (a mere 45 days away now - I consider it my public duty to provide you with a countdown on an, almost, daily basis!) and Smyths currently have a 3 for 2 offer running on them.

  • Click HERE to go over to Smyths

Hasbro games make all the classics, old and new, such as:

  • Twister - I'll never get bored of this
  • Mousetrap - I bought this for 25 pence at one of my junior school summer fetes, it was properly awesome
  • Operation - that wish bone was always the hardest, wasn't it! *BUZZ*
  • Connect 4 - love it! Especially quick-fire games with the teenagers; you have to be on the ball and eagle-eyed
  • Monopoly - I refuse to play Monopoly
  • Jenga - awesome for kids and awesome for playing with grown-ups after dinner, after a glass of wine too many!
  • Guess Who - I used to play this with my cousin when I was little - Herman is the character that sticks in my mind the most
  • Elefun - my youngest son has this and I have to say, I enjoy playing it just as much as him...and he's invariably better than me

There are lots of other Hasbro games up for grabs at Smyths - I think I've owned most of them and I guarantee there'll be something there for you.  Twister after Crimbo lunch anyone?!

Bop It! £10 @ Asda

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 4 December, 2010 at 11:00 am

Bop It! £10 @ AsdaIf you haven't played Bop It! before then you need to GET one!

For £10 (instead of £19.98) this would make a great stocking filler, or 'just because', Christmas pressie, and I can guarantee it will keep everyone amused and entertained for H O U R S on Christmas day and far beyond.

I can guarantee this because we have one - I bought it for my eldest a few years ago for Christmas and that was it, we were all bopping it and all trying to outdo each other's high scores.

There are four actions that you must perform in the correct order according to the instructions given to you by the Bop It!: twist it, pull it, BOP IT! (you wallop the middle bit for that) and the new shout it command.

There are over 1000 levels to play now and the more action sequences you complete correctly, the fast the Bop It! goes - if you can't keep up or you get a command wrong then YOU LOSE!

You can play Bop It! by yourself or with others in its party mode.

This is proper addictive fun - kids LOVE it and grown ups love it even more; GET ONE, for a tenner you really can't go wrong.
