Trust me, slipper boots are an absolute essential for winter. I bought mine three years ago and I wear them all the way through winter. After a long day at work, leaving in the dark and getting home in the dark and just generally being cold and miserable, the best part of my day is getting home and changing into a pair of tracksuit pants and my slipper boots. Now, either Boots know something we don' t know, or they've got a TON of stock to get rid of due to last year's rubbish summer! Either way, if you can save yourself some cash on sunscreen, then DO - it's so expensive, that it pays to stock up 'on the cheap' when you can.

I think it's wrong that something so essential costs so much money - you can't help but wonder how many kids get exposed to the sun without adequate protection because of the huge dent in your budget sun cream can make.

I'm rather fond of baby gyms. All of my children spent some of their very early baby days playing underneath one. They were simple ones though as whilst I think they're great, I'm not a huge fan of adding twinkly tunes and flashing lights to every single baby 'thing' on the market.

But each to their own, and if you're after an all-singing-all-flashing-lights baby gym then this Fisher Price Precious Planet muscial activity gym could be just the thing you're after.

Fade Out Anti Shadow Brightening Eye Cream is a lightweight and tinted eye cream that has been created to make you look younger. It does this by using light reflecting particles to hide imperfections, even out skin tone and fade dark areas and even has Vitamin A in it to delay the signs of ageing.

So does it work?

I have been using Fade Out for a week now and getting almost no sleep. This is thanks to two stupid cats and a restless child. And my skin has elicited positive comments from people! I have actually had someone at work turn and say to me, “Wow, your skin is glowing today.”

That is, you have to admit, something that rarely happens when you are sleep deprived and stressed, so I have to say that so far Fade Out has become something of a staple in my morning skin care routine. You just dab it on after your usual skin cream and then pop on your make-up over that.

Fade Out isn’t oily or excessively creamy, nor does it have a ridiculously dark tint that leaves most people like me (with very fair skin) out in the cold. It has a lovely texture and a lovely scent, and it is easily and quickly absorbed into the skin without any residue at all.

What’s also very nice about this product is that it is cost effective at only £8.99*. Not cheap to use or cheap to the touch, but cheap for the wallet and the budget. While I may not buy the eye cream products that are used by the stars and cost thousands of dollars, I can tell you that this is worth every penny and the quality is as high as some of the more expensive brands I have used. It gets a hearty thumbs up from me.
