Britax Kidfix High Back Booster in Max £89.99 @ Baby & Co

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 31 March, 2012 at 6:00 pm

Britax Kidfix High Back Booster in Max £89.99 @ Baby & CoMy son has a Britax booster seat. I don't know if it is the same as the one here - I can't remember now. But it certainly looks very similar. We've been really happy with ours, it has stood up to all the muck a little boy can throw at it. It's also easy to fit in any car. We researched this before buying, and went for a seat that we felt offered a good level of protection. A back and side protection were also crucial too. Baby & Co has reduced the Britax Kidfix High Back Booster in Max from £139.99 to £89.99.

A great feature on this booster seat is that it works with both ISOFIX, and with standard 3-point seat belts.

The Britax Kidfix 2 3 Isofit car seat is a highly adaptable seat with recline facility, offers optimum safety and comfort and the option of installation with ISOFIX points. The booster seat is anchored to the car via the standard ISOFIX system and the child is secured in the seat with the 3-point seat belt. The Kidfix can also be installed with a 3-point seat belt.

Other features include deep, softly padded side wings for side impact protection and an adjustable backrest for safe and compatible installation in a wide range of cars. The adjustable head support grows with your child

Belt guides position the adult belt comfortably and safely over your child's shoulder. Includes ISOFIX latch guides to help protect your car interior. Parents will like the removable, washable cover.

The large rounded headrest, as well as offering protection in the event of a side impact collision, provides extra comfort for your sleeping child.

The seat shape correctly positions the lap belt low over your child's pelvis. Its easily accessible belt path makes the seat far easier to install in three door cars.

Graco Junior Maxi High Back Booster Seat Metropolitan £24.99 @ Halfords

Graco Junior Maxi High Back Booster Seat Metropolitan £24.99 @ Halfords

There’s a fab saving of £35 off the Graco Junior Maxi High Back Booster Seat Metropilitan at Halfords, reducing it to £24.99.

My daughter hated the bucket baby car seats from the day she was born, and driving anywhere was an absolute nightmare. At 18 months, unable to cope with the drama of driving any longer, we put her in an age appropriate booster seat where she could see out the window and sit upright, and it was like flipping a switch – everything changed and we could drive without frazzled nerves and pounding headaches.

While this isn’t suitable for an 18 month old – in fact it’s only suitable from 4 – 12 years, whenever I see a picture of a booster seat I feel relief. Psychological imprinting, for sure!

This seat comes with free fitting from Halfords, so it’s worth reserving and collecting, but you can have it delivered for free within four days.

The Metropolitan Graco Junior Maxi High Back Booster Seat has a height adjustable head support that grows with your child. It also has height adjustable arm rests to give better back support, and they contain two retractable cupholders. There’s a raised seat and belt guides to ensure correct fitting and the back can be removed to leave a group three booster cushion.

3 in 1 Booster Seat £12.99 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 4 July, 2011 at 10:00 am

3 in 1 Booster Seat £12.99 @ AmazonHURRAH! The First Years 3-in-1 booster seat is back on sale at Amazon for £12.99 instead of £29.99.

This is one of my favourite items to tell you about.

You see, the world is a better place for this First Years 3-in-1 booster seat for various reasons.

1) if you don't have much space, or don't want a huge traditional high chair hanging around, then you can have one of these instead

2) they are much cheaper than even cheap traditional high chairs

3) they are more portable than high chairs.  Portability means never having to run the gauntlet of public high chairs ever again and THAT can only be a good thing.

4) they allow your child to sit at the table on the same chairs as everyone else; this can become very important to them.

It folds easily for travel or storage and has a quick one-hand release. The seat’s serving tray fits on top to ensure a clean eating surface, whilst I’m all for a bit of dirt being good for boosting the immune system, I prefer it to be my ‘own’ dirt.

The First Years 3 in 1 Booster Seat fits to a regular chair and makes feeding your little one nice and easy from when they are six months or older; safety straps hold your baby in to prevent them from falling or slipping out.

A marvellous little invention if ever there was one.

First Years Winnie The Pooh On-The-Go Booster Seat £18.06 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 7 June, 2011 at 8:00 am

First Years Winnie The Pooh On-The-Go Booster Seat £18.06 @ AmazonAmazon are selling this First Years Winnie the Pooh On-The-Go booster seat for £18.06 instead of £26.99.

I adored Winnie the Pooh when I was a little girl and I still have a soft spot for him, truth be told.

Edward Bear has been around for SUCH a long time I really don't see him going out of favour any time soon, however, the current price of this Winnie the Pooh On-The-Go booster seat might go out of favour as this isn't an Amazon deal of the week and is subject to their whimsical price changing.

Even if it does go up a little bit, it'll still be worth taking a look at as it's rather nifty.

It folds up to less than two inches tall and it self-inflates too - just pull the valve at the back and it will transform into the seat.  The adjustable safety belt will make sure your child is securely firmly in the seat.

It has security strap which attach around most standard chairs and converts to shoulder strap for carrying with you when you're out and about.

The Winnie the Pooh On-The-Go booster seat is suitable for babies from 12 months upwards and up to 19 kilograms (40 pounds) in weight.

Happy Boosting!

The First Years 3 in 1 Booster Seat £12.99 @ Amazon

The First Years 3 in 1 Booster Seat £12.99 @ AmazonFingers crossed that Amazon leave the price of this First Years 3 in 1 Booster Seat alone long enough for you to get your hands on one at £12.99, instead of £29.99, because they're a great.

The First Years 3 in 1 Booster Seat is suitable for young ones from 6 months of age onwards.

It's a GREAT alternative to a high chair if you're really tight for space at home, to keep at the grandparents house or if you go out to eat a lot - high chairs in restaurants can be a bit hit and miss, and even if there are some available some can be -  how can I put this nicely? - less than 'savoury'!

It folds easily for travel or storage and has a quick one-hand release. The seat’s serving tray fits on top to ensure a clean eating surface, whilst I'm all for a bit of dirt being good for boosting the immune system, I prefer it to be my 'own' dirt.

The First Years 3 in 1 Booster Seat can be placed on a regular chair and makes feeding your little one easy and convenient; safety straps hold your baby in to prevent them from falling or slipping out.

It also allows older little ones to sit at the table too and feel very grown up along with everyone else.

Mamas And Papas Booster Car Seat £19.99 @ Argos

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 18 December, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Mamas And Papas Booster Car Seat £19.99 @ Argos
The Mamas & Papas Trekker Booster Car Seat is half price at Argos, at £19.99, down from £39.99.

When I was doing my list of must have items before my daughter was born, I remember thinking that the car seat was one of the more expensive items on my list. I remember - foolishly- thinking, “Oh, well, at least it's a once off purchase”.

For the first three months it was a fabulously light carseat that we could actually carry her around in, since we didn't have a pram. By four months her legs were hanging over the end, so we invested in a bigger one, which worked very well, until one day the clasp literally broke in my hand. I still thank heavens we never had an accident with her in that seat.

At a year a friend loaned us a booster seat to try out, but that didn't last long as she was still way too small. We finally found the right age appropriate seat, and although her feet hover near the end, she's at least securely buckled in! So next it'll be a booster seat, but fortunately we have a little time still!

For those of you who don't, however, this Mamas & Papas Trekker Car Seat is a Group 2 – 3 seat, and is suitable for children aged 4 – 12 years, or 15 to 36kg and is approved to ECE.R44.03 standards.

It fits front and rear seats, and uses a lap and three point seat belt to secure it. It also has side impact protection and a removable, machine washable cover.

Going forward it also converts to a booster seat, so hopefully it'll be your last car chair purchase!

Graco Logico L high back booster seat - Metro £39.99 @ MothercareIt seems like every other car seat for children is made by Graco. That's the brand of the first car seat we got for my son, and the one he is using now. Mothercare has the Graco Logico L high back booster seat on half price for £39.99, marked down from £79.99.

When Shelima, over at HUKD, ordered one of these seats, she found that the delivery was free. Mothercare are currently offering free delivery on all orders over £50, so it is possible the site is working from the original ticket price and not the reduced amount.

The Logico converts to a booster seat for an older child. It has a back with side impact protection, and an adjustable headrest. The armrests are also Graco Logico L high back booster seat - Metro £39.99 @ Mothercareadjustable. According to the website this is a multi-position reclining seat with Graco 'pedic foam' for added comfort. There are belt guides to ensure the adult seat belt is positioned correctly. Finally, there are the features that are possibly more interesting to the child - and the parent who wants to keep the back of the car clean. It has a pull-out drink holder, and a snack holder
