Why not register just in time for the wonders of World Book Day! This government sponsored initiative will get you and your kids back into the rich and magical worlds of books and it will cost you nothing...
The site includes more than just free books, there are also competitions to be won, helpful advice, links to useful resources and lists of books that are bound to capture your fancy. I adore the illustrations on the landing page, they are so bright and cheerful that you can’t help but be sucked in.
All Bookstart packs are completely free to parents and children but they will vary dependent on whether you live in England, Scotland or Northern Ireland and Wales. You’ll get your free pack through your health visitor, library or Early Years setting.
The packs come in different age groups including 0-12 months, 18-30 months, 36-48 months and are also available for children that are either blind or partially sighted through the Booktouch scheme. The Bookshine scheme is for deaf children.
If you haven’t explored the world of reading with your child yet then please, start now, because you will be offering your child the adventure of a lifetime.
