Trunki Travel ToyBox Buy One Get One Free £20 @ Trunki

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 9 November, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Trunki Travel ToyBox Buy One Get One Free £20 @ Trunki

This is rather lame, but I’m quite excited by this offer! There are two Trunki Travel ToyBoxes for £20 available at Trunki, making them £10 each. The cheapest price I can find them for elsewhere is £14 at Amazon, but they have free shipping, whereas shipping from Trunki is £4.99, or free on purchases over £50. (So if you were just buying one, it would actually be 1p more buying from Amazon).

The 4 in 1 Trunki Travel Toy Box is the world’s first ride-on, push-around travelling toy box. It fits perfectly behind the driver’s or passenger’s seat in a car so that your vehicle looks a little less like a travelling toy box too. When the lid is on you can turn the whole thing over and it is a ride-on toy box, and also doubles as a rocking cradle for dolls.

The really cool feature with these is if you have more than one you can clip them together to make a Trunki Train – something my daughter loved at the Baby Show where they did a demo.

The boxes are durable and lightweight and great for toy storage at home or on the move.

Selected Duvets And Bedding 50% Off Or BOGOF @ Mothercare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 17 June, 2011 at 8:00 am

Selected Duvets And Bedding 50% Off Or BOGOF @ Mothercare

There’s up to 50% off some children’s bedding and buy one get one free off others at Mothercare. While some lines are already out of stock, it’s still worth a nosey about.

My little girl spent part of last night in her own bed for the first time ever. Considering the bed was only delivered yesterday, that’s pretty good going.  It was a bit of a pain, actually, finding suitable bedding for her, since we didn’t want anything in pink, and normally, girls equals pink. We finally settled on a pretty white duvet cover with blue butterflies.

There’s a bit more selection at Mothercare, although the pink and princess theme is still around, but hey ho. It must just be us.

So, you want some examples, I suppose.  There’s a Ballerina Embroidered Single Duvet Set for £14.99 instead of £29.99.  And the same in a boys themed Race Track Embroidered Duvet Set .

Some of the really cheap items, such as the Stripe Single Duvet Set for £6.49 are out of stock online already, but you could possibly still find them in store if you have one nearby.

Happyland BOGOF @ ELC OR BOGOF + 20% Off @ Mothercare

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 11 June, 2011 at 11:00 am

Happyland BOGOF @ ELC OR BOGOF + 20% Off @ Mothercare

Well that’s a mouthful of a title, isn’t it, but that’s because this is the time to stock up on every Happyland set you’ve ever wanted. See, there’s buy one get one free – effectively 50% off if you buy two of the same  price – Happyland at both ELC and Mothercare, but then Mothercare have 20% off with the code: BA8M too.

So, why  give you two deals? Well, because not everything is available at both. For example, I’ve always loved the HappyLand Fairyland Bluebell Boot which is £38 at ELC, but isn’t included in the offer at  Mothercare.

Others, such as the HappyLand playaway set is £20 at both, but at Mothercare you can use that code above and get 20% off, making  it £16.

There doesn’t seem to be much price difference between the items they do both offer, so really it’s going to come down to postage. ELC gives you free delivery over £50 now, and Mothecare still has that same offer with postage costing you £4.95 at either, so if you’re able to pick up in store that’s your real winner.

Happy shopping for Happyland!

BOGOF Disney DVD and Blu-rays @ Play.com

There's a BOGOF offer on Disney DVDs and Blu-rays at Play.com at the moment. The offer ends on the 1st of May 2011

There are 31 titles available in the DVD section, including both classics and modern movies, such as:

These will cost you £12.49 for two, and postage is free.

In the Blu-ray department, you'll find many of the same, including

And 22 other options. The Blu-rays are £16.49 for two, and postage is also free.

While it's worth making sure that the ones you select are the cheapest prices before you buy, you'll find that Dumbo: Special Edition , for example, is £12.49 at Amazon, so getting another free is rather good.
Buy one get one free cannot be used with any other offer. You also can't mix DVDs and Blu-Ray, so have to go for one or the other.

BOGOF @ Matalan

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 14 December, 2010 at 8:00 am

BOGOF @ MatalanThe Buy One Get One Free sale at Matalan has a few great offers for those last minute gifts – perfect for colleagues, friends who don't know each other and those kids who have to have the same gift as their brother or sister.

There are BOGOF items in the gifts for men, gifts for women, and gifts for kids sections, as well as sale items dotted around the rest of the categories. Alternatively, browse just the BOGOF section.

You could get, for example, two Jewellery Mannequins for £10.00, or Truffles (£3.00) for those teacher gifts Lynley told you about yesterday.

There's a Candy Sweet Shop for £8.00 (for two, remember) and Blue and Pink Gumball Machines £5.00 and fab stocking fillers in our house, Fruit Jelly Sweets for £2.00.

Annoyingly, although the items are BOGOF, there's no confirmation of this at checkout. If you add two, you are charged twice, so the assumption is to add only one, but expect two to arrive in the post.

Also, although there are other Matalan promotion codes doing the rounds, such as Christmas10 for 10% off, promotion codes cannot be used with any other offers, including free deliveries on orders over £50 and any promotions, such as BOGOF in your basket will be removed when you apply a code.

75% Off Boardgames £4.00 @ Woolworths.co.uk

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 26 November, 2010 at 6:00 pm

75% Off Boardgames £4.00 @ Woolworths.co.uk

Woolworths.co.uk currently has a BOGOF and 50% off on selected boardgames. Initially £8.00 each, these games are now £4.00 for two – a combined 75% discount.

Okay, so these aren't the games at the top of anyone's Christmas list, I'm sure, but there's still plenty of fun to be had with them. I remember playing Snakes & Ladders with my brother and sister, screaming with laughter as one or the other of us went down, down, down again, just moments from then end.

The list of games available are:

  • The Sea Battle
  • Snakes and Ladders
  • Hangman
  • Who am I?
  • Line Up 4
  • Ludo
  • Don't Torment Me
  • Doctor I am in Trouble

A few of those I've never heard of, but then, at £4.00 it's hard to go wrong.

These games are suitable from around age 3 up. Delivery is £3.95 and should be next day, assuming you've ordered before 6pm.

Great little gifts for children, great stocking fillers, and great for secret Santa.

Waterstones Buy One Get One Free Book Deals

Waterstones Buy One Get One Free Book Deals

I'm in book mode today!  There are currently Buy One Get One Free book deals to be had at Waterstones (on selected titles).

Click HERE to BOGOF over to Waterstones

Do you remember a life without Waterstones? Miserable wasn't it!

I love bookshops; in fact, I just love anything to do with books full stop.

It's just so fantastic to be able to lose yourself in the pages and story of a book and go on different adventures; no batteries required, no flashing lights, no TV necessary...just a great book and a big dollop of imagination!

Titles include a fair few of the, apparently, VERY popular Percy Jackson series.

I don't know anything about Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief other than my teenage daughter keeps going on about it, and was miffed that it was an inflight movie on my long haul trip and not her short haul one.

But having jsut read the synposis of it, it sounds quite cool:

"Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood. I never asked to be the son of a Greek God. I was just a normal kid, going to school, playing basketball, skateboarding. The usual. Until, I accidentally vaporized my maths teacher. That's when things started really going wrong"

OOPS!

Included are also books by the wonderful Michael Morpurgo, some Horrid Henry books too and prices range between £4.18 to £6.99.

You can check for instore availability online or order online and pay NOTHING for delivery, as Waterstones are currently offering free delivery - how many MORE free things can one ask for (apart from everything, of course!)?

You want MORE? OK - spend over £20 before midday on Monday 25 October, apply this code to your basket - HC8375 - and you'll get 10% off your order too; how's that?!

2 For 1 Disney DVDs £12.66 @ HMV

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 27 September, 2010 at 7:00 pm

2 For 1 Disney DVDs £12.66 @ HMVHMV have a BOGOF offer on Disney DVDs meaning that for £12.66, a saving of 50%, you can have two children's movies from the extensive collection – that's double the family-friendly fun!

While I am no fan of children's TV – it's not the shows, but the advertising that drives me to the brink – I have always been one of those people who can't wait to have a child so that I could take said child to see the plethora of Disney movies that come out in time for the school holidays. I'm also one of those people who started buying up Disney DVDs long before I even had that twinkle in my eye, for the babies I'd one day have!

2 For 1 Disney DVDs £12.66 @ HMVSo, for that secret underclass of those people, this is the ideal opportunity to stock up. Of course, it's also a great time to start thinking of stocking fillers – well, not really, but when opportunity knocks...

HMV have great classic titles, such as Dumbo and Pinnochio as well as the recent releases such as Up, Cars and Toy Story 2 included in this buy one get one free offer. Whereas they would normally set you back £12.66 each, you're now getting two for the price of one, effectively making them £6.33 each.
