Celebaby: The Aiofe Bunny And Baby Joy For Bubba

Celebaby: The Aiofe Bunny And Baby Joy For BubbaIt's a sporty Celebaby today with baby news from Ben Foden - Northampton Saints rugby hero - and Bubba Watson who won the biggest tournament in Golf, the Masters, on Sunday.

Ben Foden

I'm a sucker for new baby photos, especially when they're dressed up in cute little costumes.

Ben Foden tweeted a picture of his new daughter, Aoife Belle, dressed up as the Easter Bunny, on Sunday saying, "Easter is over kids, as I've managed to capture the Easter Bunny!"

What a little sweetie she looks in her pink bunny outfit, definitely one for the 'Cute Snapshots of Aoife' family album.

Una has been telling how Aoife's Saturdays aunties have been spoiling her rotten (Aofie that is, not Una.  Isn't it always the way! You're the one who had the baby and the baby is the one who gets all the pressies - I think it should be the other way round!).

"Frankie presented us with three big bags full of baby stuff she'd been collecting, including a Swarovski crystal-encrusted dummy.  'I don't know how safe it is to put in Aoife's mouth, but it will look lovely on display in her nursery," she revealed. "Rochelle and Vanessa bought her some gorgeous outfits by Dolce & Gabbana and Mollie, who's quite preppy, got her some lovely clothes from Ralph Lauren."

Bubba Watson

If you're not into golf then you won't have a CLUE who Bubba Watson is. Well he's a 33-year-old guy who's just won the most coveted of all golf prizes, the Green Jacket. Apart from a vast cash prize, winners of the Masters win a green jacket and it's the thing they all want the most.

South Africans are very passionate about sport and most of the country would have been on the edge of their sofas on Sunday night (my husband was!) as Bubba Watson and SA golf hero Louis Oosthuizen went head-to-head in a play off!

Bubba beat Louis on the second hole to be crowned the Masters champion 2012; after being presented with his green jacket he said he was looking forward to going home to see his boy and admitted that he hadn't changed a nappy yet.

His 'boy' is now six weeks old, his name is Caleb and was adopted by Bubba and his wife, Angie, two weeks ago because Angie cannot have children.

Bubba's real name is Gerry and was taught to play by his dad (he's never had a formal golf lesson in his life!), who died a couple of years ago after losing his battle to cancer.  As you can imagine winning the Masters proved to be an emotional event and tears freely flowed - for his father and for his new son.

Celebaby: Aoife Belle Foden

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 3 April, 2012 at 11:00 am

Celebaby: Aoife Belle FodenI'm rather in love with this little family at the moment - it's the rugby connection with my beloved Northampton Saints mainly, but also because Una Healy has (to my knowledge) been nothing but elegant and dignified in her public life; gorgeous without being slutty (to be frank) and she and Ben have given their new daughter a beautiful name that's different without being weird or a bit 'OTT celebrity'.

The official word on Aoife's arrival proclaimed that mum and baby were doing well and gave no hint of the drama that had occurred in the delivery suite, which has been revealed in an interview with Hello magazine.

Shortly after Aoife arrived, she started choking - choking is one of my biggest fears and a little six-year-old girly has died from choking on something at school in the last seven days.

"I was screaming," said Una, "it was the worst moment of my life! There’s this precious little person who you would die for and you just can’t bear to think of anything happening to her."

Ben went on to reveal, "We went into panic and pushed the emergency button and the next thing we knew, our baby was whisked away and there were alarm bells ringing and staff running around."

Una is completely smitten with her baby daughter and has admitted to sneaking peeks at her when she's asleep, "During the night, I’ll wake up, even when she’s sound asleep, and sneak a peek. She’ll be lying there, with her tiny hands up by her face - she’s so ladylike - and my heart could burst with love for her."

Ben and Una are going to get married later this year and live in Bedfordshire, just down the road from me; Una was spotted out and about enjoying the amazing sunshine we had late last week, with baby Aoife and her own mother and she looked absolutely stunning - a proper yummy mummy, I can't wait to see the wedding photos.

Celebaby: Charlize Theron Is A Mummy, So Is Una Healy

Celebaby: Charlize Theron Is A Mummy, So Is Una HealyCharlize Theron is a mummy!  Not for a movie role, not pretend, but for REAL - it's been announced that she's now the adoptive mother of a baby boy called Jackson.

Well, didn't THAT come out of the blue - sort of!  I say 'sort of' because Charlize has never made any secret of her desire to have a baby, even when she split up from her long-term boyfriend last year.

In interviews a few months after the split, she said, "I want a baby. If it would happen tomorrow I would be very happy."

She was asked whether or not she would consider becoming a single mother via adoption and her response was very clear, "Why Not? I'm open to everything in life.  There are so many unwanted children on this earth and it's our job to care for them. And if we don't we're doing the world a disservice."

Una Healy

Una Healy, of The Saturdays fame, has also become a mummy this week in what feels like the fastest celeb' pregnancy EVER!

Una Healy is engaged to Northampton Saints, and England, rugby player Ben Foden - I'm rather fond of these two as I'm a Saints girl and Ben scored a try against France in their Six Nations clash last Saturday, helping to beat them (and there are few things sweeter than England beating France on the rugby pitch!).

We knew a while ago that Ben and Una were expecting a little girl and they've given her the most beautiful name - Aoife Belle.  Aoife is a traditional Irish name meaning 'beauty' and Belle is a French spin of Ben's mum's name (Bell) which also means 'beautiful'.

Aoife Belle was born on Tuesday afternoon, weighing in at 7lbs 13ozs, with Ben announcing her arrival on Twitter...

Celebaby: New Year Bits And Pieces

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 12 January, 2012 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: New Year Bits And PiecesToday's Celebaby is a mish-mash of a few bits and pieces featuring, briefly, Beyonce's baby get-away, Billie Piper's baby gender announcement and Ben Foden goes baby shopping.

Beyonce

If you were wondering what the press were going to do with themselves now that Beyonce and Jay Z's baby has arrived, now we know - they're going to be rushing around trying to be the first ones to get a picture of Blue Ivy Carter, that's what they're going to be doing.

They didn't manage to catch her departure from hospital though - their plans were scuppered by a 'secret' dash for it at 1.30am in the morning in a Mercedes van (well, come on, it looks like a van to me!) that Beyonce has had customised to the tune of $1 million.

It's also been reported that the hospital undertook some serious renovations/remodelling at the request, and expense, of both Beyonce and Jay Z - apparently, according to one of those useful sources, eight rooms were knocked through and turned into a suite just for them including a bullet proof door (not too paranoid and over the top then!).

The other bits...

Billie Piper and her husband, Laurence Fox, have announced they're expecting another boy - they already have a three-year-old son (Winston) and are said to be over the moon that there's a little brother for him on the way.

In one of the funniest newspaper reports I've read in a while - when I say funny, I mean funny in an 'oh please' kind of way - Una Healy and Ben Foden were 'spotted' out shopping for baby things, I say 'spotted' because Una had tweeted earlier in the day that that's what they were going to do.

Mamas and Papas was dubbed as the 'celebrity baby shop of choice' and Ben 'gallantly' carried the bags...erm, there were only two and they really didn't look that heavy!  THEN, staff were photographed carrying a cot to Ben's car - the cot looked huge and the car's boot was barely big enough to take those two bags that Ben gallantly carried.

Anyone would think they were the first people to go shopping at M&P where the man carrried the bags.

Celebaby: Beyonce Baby Bump V Hardly There Baby Bump

Celebaby: Beyonce Baby Bump V Hardly There Baby BumpBeyonce Baby Bump

Beyonce's latest video clearly reveals that her baby bump is coming along rather nicely.

After what felt like years of pregnancy rumours, which were always fiercly denied, Beyonce and her husband Jay-Z recently announced they were expecting a baby.

In her latest video, Beyonce turns to the side and cradles her stomach along to the lyrics, "I'm trying to make us three from that two."

When any A-list celebrity baby is on the way the media rumour mill loses all control of itself and this time is no exception.  Rumour has it that this Beyonce baby, due in the Spring, is a girl but there's no real information as to what sparked off that little whisper.

Well, there's a 50/50 chance it'll be right!

Una Healy's Hardly There Baby Bump

I'll forgive you for not knowing who Una Healy is - I only know of her because she's the other half of Ben Foden who's an England and Northampton Saints rugby player - she's one of the band member of The Saturdays.

Still none the wiser? Just switch on Radio One, you'll hear one of their songs before too long.

With Ben down in New Zealand for the Rugby World Cup, it was left to Una to recently announce that they are expecting their first baby.

It's been rather amusing reading the press comments, subsequent to her announcement, on her various premier/public appearance outfits, "No maternity dresses for Una," is the general theme.

Well DUH, media people, she's no more than about 16 weeks gone so what do you expect to see?  A six-month preggars belly appearing overnight?!  Please.

So far it's all going well and she's having an easy time of it; speaking to More! magazine recently, she said, "So far my pregnancy has been easy. I've not been sick, I've just got an amazingly sensitive sense of smell. I can't bear strong cheeses."

She's also tweeted about early pregnancy tiredness, "I have fallen asleep in between every interview today! Literally! Really getting the hang of this "sleeping on the road" malarchy!"

Can we tell her that you don't spell 'malarkey' the way she did...?  Or am I just being picky now?
