I just love these bargains. It means I can give the kind of presents that kids love without spending a fortune for branded goodies. Now that Christmas has ambled off into the distance it’s time to start getting all those birthday presents you need. The parties are already starting on my side!

This set is machine washable and can be tumble dried so it’s nice and easy to maintain and has a thread count of 56. Not quite the luxurious sheeting of the rich and famous but few kids will care. Units have been marked down from £1766 to only £635.76 or £1020 to £275. It’s an impressive drop in price. While not all the units are 70 percent down, the markings are quite clear as to what reduction you are getting. 

Bathroom suites, home delivered, are down by 70 percent too but the savings are not very clear on the site in this section. Ensure that you are choosing the right units at a discount if you browse through here as nothing is very well marked.

I love the name Moses basket. Not that I’d test mine and send my child off down the river in it of course! So, these handy things are the best start for baby and you as you can keep your newborn close by for up to six months. 

This one includes a mattress, quilt, removable lining and adjustable hoot with a 4tog quilt rating. All the fabrics are machine washable and it is suitable from birth to nine kilos. I am really impressed with this deal as I spent far more on mine and it was second hand and I still had to get a mattress. Definitely worth a look for the expectant parent.

The bed has to be assembled and comes in at 76.7cm high, 97.5cm wide and 196cm long. The mattresses are not included in the deal but there are some great special offers on mattresses right now so you could potentially get both for a good price.

Currently the only colour available is light walnut and the bed comes with drawers included. I’m going to be honest here, considering the reviews the product has had I’m thinking that it should have retailed at the current price not the £200 odd it originally sold for. 

All the reviewers suggest that the bed is extremely heavy and difficult to assemble. I would advise starting out with the bed positioned against the wall right from the start so you don’t pull a muscle moving it into position when you’re done. Check out the reviews on the site before you buy.

The fact that these are made of wool and obvious care has gone into the design makes me very pleased to have discovered this deal. Paying only £4.99 for a quality rug is a complete bonus nowadays.

We invested in a cot bed for our daughter and it will last her until she's at least five or six years old. A normal cot will soon be too small for your little one - they grow so fast! - and cost about the same price. It's an absolute no-brainer.

Hello Kitty was something I adored as a kid, I used to collect the writing paper, figurines and everything else with this cute little pink kitty on it. Now it’s my daughter’s turn although I think the colour has as much to do with it at this point.

This set is a steal for this price, usually children’s branded bedding is quite expensive. You get one duvet cover, single, and one pillowcase that are machine washable and can be tumble dried. They are made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester.

It’s an adorable set that will brighten up her bedroom as the dark winter settles in for the long haul. Looking at these pictures while facing a weekend of icy temperatures just makes me want to lie down and have a snooze.
