I'm a big fan of putting son's toys in boxes. It keeps them tidy and off the floor and you can put like toys with like. Or keep sets together. I use those really sturdy gift boxes for sets like his pirate stuff, or Scooby Doo toys, or Transformers.

I'm not a girly sort of girl, and I definitely wasn't into pink at all as a teenager. But for some reason, I've always had a soft spot for Hello Kitty. I remember when I was nine getting a Hello Kitty pencil case, which contained pencils, an eraser and ruler all with the Hello Kitty image on it. I love that pencil case to bits!

I'm sorry that the image isn't better for this light. For some reason they've shot it on a black background, and it is hard to pick out. There's not much information on the site, so I'm not sure how large it is. Can only go by comparison to the size of the lightbulb in the picture.

According to the blurb on the site, it is a pink acrylic mobile light in the shape of Hello Kitty. It takes 3 AAA batteries, and these are not included.

I really like Charlie and Lola and have been known, on the odd occasion, to watch it when I'm all by myself!

I think it's because I long for my own children to get on as well as Charlie and Lola do - I tell you, that boy has the patience and tolerance of a saint! Although it does help that Lola's small and very funny.

I've also become quite a fan of wall stickers. I don't remember seeing any when the Teenagers were small, mind you back then it was all dado rails and wallpaper borders - it was THE decorating thing of the decade along with ragging, rolling and sponging!

I remember these being around when I was little, so they're one thing for kids that has been around for yonks and survived the trends and fads that come and go.

They can be used to create a brilliant backdrop on ceilings and walls and you can also use them to accessorize school books, bags, furniture and, well, whatever else you can think of, really.

I think these are a great idea for kids who are less than comfortable in the dark. My two have only recently started to be afraid of the dark and I reckon bedecking their walls and ceiling with these will go a long way to helping them overcome that fear, and recognise that the dark can be adventurous and fun, too.
