Fisher Price Love U Zoo Swing £47.76 @ TescoTesco are selling this Fisher Price Love U Zoo baby swing for £47.76 - Boots are selling it for £79.99, Play and Mothercare for £84.99 so Tesco is definitely the current place to go!

A baby swing, or chair, of some description is an absolute must in my opinion; if I was ever asked to compile a top 10 list of 'essential baby equipment' then a baby swing, like this Fisher Price Love U Zoo baby swing, would be on it.

Baby swings which boast a ton of features can be huge beasts, but this Fisher Price Love U Zoo baby swing has a compact and lightweight design, so you can easily move it around the house and take away with you.

There are various hanging toys, that rattle, for your baby to reach out for, along with a leaf to pull which activates to songs and two animal sounds.  The seat is nicely padded and can be set to vibrate and/or rock to send your baby gently off to sleep.

The seat padding can be removed and bunged in the washing machine and there's a three-point safety harness too.

Delivery to your home will cost £4.95, or you can arrange to collect your Fisher Price Love U Zoo baby swing in-store for free <---- that sounds like the best option to me!

Fisher Price Swing N Rocker £69.99 @ Home Bargains

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 10 December, 2011 at 8:00 am

Fisher Price Swing N Rocker £69.99 @ Home BargainsThe full retail price for this Fisher Price Swing n Rocker baby swing is £119.99 - Home Bargains are letting them go for just £69.99, saving you £50.

A baby swing like this Fisher Price Swing n Rocker would definitely be on my Top 10 list of baby things that you could live without but really wouldn't want to.

All three of my children spent many a happy hour awake and swinging in their baby swings, or snoozing and gently rocking; there are times when you just can't, or don't want to, be holding them for hours at a time but motion is required to keep them happy.

A fractious baby, tucked up in a Fisher Price Swing n Rocker and the motion set to gently swing = a placated baby.

The seat of the Fisher Price Swing n Rocker can be detached from the swinging frame, it has a detachable toy bar, the seat pad is washable, the frame folds up for easy storage, it has two swing speeds and plays five songs.

It requires four D batteries (they're the giant looking AA ones) and I can't find anything that gives us a clue as to whether they're included or not.

Delivery with Home Bargains works on a sliding scale but won't cost you more than £5, or you can collect your Fisher Price Swing n Rocker for free from your local store if you have one near you.

Happy Swinging

Wooden Baby Swing £49.99 @ Argos

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 11 July, 2011 at 10:00 am

Wooden Baby Swing £49.99 @ ArgosArgos have a great deal on this outdoor wooden baby swing; it’s original price was £79.99 but now you can snap one up for £49.99.

Obviously when I say wooden baby swing I don't mean this is a swing for wooden babies, that would be a bit weird!

I had one of these swings 16 years ago when my eldest was tiny – except our swing seat (which was exactly the same) was hung from one of the mature trees in the garden.

It’s a universally accepted fact that everyone likes to swing no matter how old or young they are and babies find swinging particularly soothing, I've got a picture of my daughter looking very sleepy in it when she was nine months old too; both of them loved the tree swing.

This outdoor baby swing comes with a very sturdy wooden frame so you don't need to worry about finding a handy tree to hang it from; the timber is FSC certified (so is from a sustainable source) and comes with a five year manufacturer’s warranty against wood rot and insect damage.

The maximum user weight  for the outdoor baby swing is 25kgs and it’s assembled dimensions are L120 x W104 x H124cm; you should also allow about a 2m perimeter around it too, just to make sure everyone stays safe.

You can't collect this from an Argos store - probably because it's heavy - but home delivery will only take up to seven days and cost you between £5.95 or £8.95 if Argos class it as a large item (I can't find anything to say whether they do or not).

There are some pieces of baby equipment that really aren't necessary and then there are some which are an absolute MUST; a baby swing is one of those MUST have items as far as I'm concerned.

All three of my children have spent many a happy hour swinging and sleeping in a baby swing, but they were quite big (the swings, not the kids!) so taking them out and about with you was a bit of a no-no or a major hassle.

This Fisher Price portable baby swing folds up, making it nice and compact and very portable - ideal for taking with you when going out on picnics, days to the beach or visiting friends and rellies.

It has a convenient open top design which will allow you to put your baby in and take them out of the swing easily.

The covers are machine washable and it has convenient carry handles on the side too.  The
