Baby Monitor Deals @ AmazonIf you're in the market for a baby monitor then it'll be worth your while popping over to Amazon and taking a look at their baby monitor deals.

I've used a baby monitor with all of my children - a simple Tomy one with lights on the top for my eldest two and a Tommee Tippee motion sensor one with my youngest.

There are all sorts of baby monitors for you to choose from these days whether you just want to be able to hear your baby when you're in another room, will have extra peace of mind knowing their breathing and movement is being monitored, or you want to go the whole hog and be able to watch them on a little video screen too.

Then there are some that play light shows and lullabies to your baby, monitors that also measure temperature and humidity although not one that is capable of doing night feeds and changing nappies yet - you'll still have to do that yourself or kick your husband out of bed instead.

Discounts and prices vary - you can spend as little as £20 and go way up to over £100 and the average discount looks to be around the 30 - 40% mark.

Happy monitoring!

Tomy Video Baby Monitor SRV400 £74.99 @ Baby Security

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 2 June, 2011 at 9:00 am

Tomy Video Baby Monitor SRV400 £74.99 @ Baby SecurityBaby Security are currently selling this Tomy Video Baby Monitor for half price, £74.99 instead of £149.99.

Some people are happy with a baby monitor that just picks up sound, others need a little more reassurance and want a baby monitor that detects motion and breathing too.

If you want eyes in the back of your head - or rather, be able to see upstairs and/or through walls - then you'll need a video baby monitor and to date they haven't been cheap; I know, because I looked into them when I was pregnant with my youngest.

This Tomy video baby monitor has a ton of features that, for some, might seem a bit over the top but if it's going to offer peace of mind to a new parent then I'm all for it.

The parent unit has a 2.4" LCD display and a belt clip so you can carry it around with you without needing to hold it.

It can also be connected to your computer so you can watch your baby on a much bigger screen.  When it's dark the infra red night vision function will kick in so you can keep an eye on your baby in the dark.

Both the parent and baby unit have LCD temperature displays so you can keep monitor the temperature in your baby's room, there's also a timer function too for keeping track of times between feeding, sleeps or when medication was given.

The Tomy video baby monitor has a 250m range and a low battery and out of range alarm, along with  pager function to help you find the parent unit in case you put it down but then don't remember where and can't find it.

There's more - I told you it had lots of features - it also has a sound light level display so you can see if your baby needs you without having the volume turned up, there's also a sound activation mode for when your baby is a little older or you feel happier not having to hear every tiny sound.

One more thing...you can record, play and save your baby's movements too should you want to and it comes with a two-year guarantee.

OK - I think that's enough for you to be getting on with; happy monitoring!

Fisher Price Musical and Digital Baby Monitor £35.48 @ Argos

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 12 May, 2011 at 11:00 am

Fisher Price Musical and Digital Baby Monitor £35.48 @ ArgosArgos are selling this Fisher Price Musical and Digital baby monitor for half price; it's £35.48 now instead of £71.48.

I used a baby monitor when all my children were babies.

One, it offered me peace of mind when I was asleep that I'd hear them if they were crying and needed me - if I'm r e a l l y tired I can sleep like the dead - and two, it allowed me to move around the house and garden whilst they were snoozing during the day and, again, hear them when they woke up.

This Fisher Price Musical and Digital baby monitor plays three lullabies and nature sounds, it also has a night light.

All of these things can be activated by remote control via the parent unit so you don't have to go into your child's room to switch them on; it can be fatal if they see you..."OOOH look! Mum/Dad have come to see me, it must be time to get up and a) play or b) have cuddles for hours and hours and hours!"

The Fisher Price Musical and Digital baby monitor is an Argos online exclusive so you can't order it in-store.  You CAN arrange for it to be dropped off at a store for you to collect though, or you can arrange for delivery to your front door for £5.95.

BT 150 Digital Baby Monitor £43.99 @ Amazon

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 19 February, 2011 at 1:00 pm

BT 150 Digital Baby Monitor £43.99 @ AmazonBuy this BT 150 Digital Baby Monitor from Amazon and you'll save £26 - they've reduced its price from £69.99 down to £43.99.

When my youngest was a baby I had a baby monitor that had a motion sensor mat under his mattress that would detect changes in breathing, not everyone wants that but DO want to be able to listen in to their baby when they're in a different room.

This BT 150 Digital Baby Monitor looks like a great option - it's sleek and stylish and doesn't come in hidoues gawdy colours (hurrah!) and it has a ton of features too.

You can plug your MP3 player into it and play music of your choice to your baby to help them drift off to sleep, it has an integrated thermometer, DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications) digital technology, polyphonic lullabies (I think I'd stick to music on my iPod).

It also has rechargeable batteries and a torch on the parent handset and, according to the official blurb, its high-definition sound  is so good it sounds like your baby is in the room with you.

And if you want even MORE, the BT 150 Digital Baby Monitor has a vibrate function so you can put the monitor on silent when you need to, perhaps when you're making an important phonecall, and still be alerted when your baby needs you.

Happy baby monitoring.
