Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature 260 ml Easivent BPA-free Feeding Bottles Pack Of 6 £13.12 @ AmazonThe Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature 260 ml Easivent BPA-free Feeding Bottles (Pack of 6) has an RRP of £22.99, and this is the price that they're sold at in Boots. Right now Amazon has them on special offer of £13.12. Delivery is free with Amazon Prime. The same set has been seen in Asda at times for £10, but as there's no telling when or how often they might do that sort of reduction instore, it doesn't really help if you need to get some bottles now.

Although it is always best to have a go at breastfeeding, it isn't always as easy as the midwives lead you to believe in ante natal classes. I had assumed that my son would have some instinctive clue about what to do but no, latching on took a few days for us, and he was never able to feed properly.

You can either feel guilty about this, or accept that really in this day and age there's no need to be so stressed as a new mum. I ended up doing a mix of breast and bottle, and while I would still have preferred to have breastfed solely, at least I know I did my best.

These are the features of the bottles:

  • Teat designed to mimic the natural flex and feel of a mum's breast
  • Super-sensitive valve
  • Soft, natural-feel silicone teat
  • Easy-hold bottle with a slow-flow teat
  • BPA-free

Six Philips Avent bottles 50% off @ Boots

Six Philips Avent bottles 50% off @ BootsAvent baby bottles. Chances are that if you go into the home of most new mums, that’s the brand you’ll find. It is what I used. If you use this voucher you can get six 260ml Philips Avent bottles for half price from Boots. That’s £13 instead of £26.

I wouldn’t want to write anything that might imply that breastfeeding is less than ideal. It worked brilliantly for all my friends. One friend in particular produced such an incredible amount of milk she was able to donate an extra ten bottles a day to her hospital’s milk bank. For me things didn’t quite go to plan, and I ended up doing a mix of breast and formula. But for both my friend and I, baby bottles were very much of a necessity. And I’d say that probably applies to just about every new mum out there. So, even if you’re not in the baby club yourself, take advantage of this deal to stock up on bottles – they’ll make a great baby shower gift. Really, you can never have enough!

Six Philips Avent bottles 50% off @ BootsPhilips Avent bottles are designed to reduce colic, using a ‘colic valve’. The soft, naturally shaped teat is claimed to encourage a proper latch on. Teats are made from tasteless and odourless silicone. The bottles are BPA-free.
