Asda Entertainment Promotional Codes: 10% And 15% Off Kids DVDsUse these Asda Entertainment promotional codes to get 10% and 15% off kids DVDs. If you buy one DVD you can get 10% off. The 15% code applies when you buy two or more DVDs. It can only be used on full price items, and doesn't work on DVDs that are on sale.

Click here to use your Asda Entertainment Promotional Codes

  • Discount: 10% and 15%
  • Applies to: kids DVDs
  • Discount codes: FAV10 and FAV15
  • Expires: 19th March 2011

To use these codes, go to the Shopping Basket page or look in the panel on the right. Enter it in the Discount Code box. Delivery is free on all DVDs.

How good a deal this is depends on what it is you want to buy. It does take the price of Toy Story 3 down from £13.93 to £12.54. And since delivery is free that makes it one of the better deals for that title online. But only by a few pence.

The Thomas And Friends Classic Collection series 1 to 11 is selling at the full price of £17.99. The discount brings it down to £16.19 including delivery and that's the best deal you can get for the boxset on the market.

In the end though I didn't actually end up buying anything using the code. When I tested it to see if it could work on sale items (it can't) I saw the Mike Myer's The Cat in the Hat DVD for £2.93 including delivery and couldn't resist. Not at that price. I've been looking for a replacement copy as son's treasured disc, which is looking a little battered these days.

The IT Crowd Box Set Series 1-3 DVD £11.93 @ Asda Ent.

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 17 June, 2010 at 9:00 pm

The IT Crowd Box Set Series 1-3 DVD £11.93 @ Asda Ent.Right, it's nine o'clock; the kids are in bed, it's time to relax, unwind and thank your lucky stars you don't work in an IT department

Being a bit of a tech' bod, the IT Crowd amuses me greatly - not in a huge laugh-out-loud kind of way but more of a knowing-chuckle kind of way.

If you work an in IT department this will either make you giggle and smirk all the way through or it will just feel like you're still at work and NOT. BE. FUNNY!

If you don't have anything to do with IT then welcome to the underclass that is the tech' department whose staff members lurk in the darkest corners of all modern office buildings.  Within these DVDs you'll find out what goes on behind those closed doors and after you've been asked, "Are you sure your monitor is switched on...?"

The IT Crowd Box Set Series 1-3 DVD £11.93 @ Asda Ent.If you liked Father Ted and The Office then you'll like the IT Crowd, and talking of fathers....yep, that's right this would make an inexpensive Father's Day gift because £11.93 for the first three series is a bit of a bargain, especially when it should be £29.35.

There's no delivery to pay to have this delivered within the UK either, but if you want it for Father's Day I suggest you order it NOW and if you don't...well, the you can order it whenever you fancy.

10 Picture Books £9.93 @ Asda Entertainment

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 5 March, 2010 at 9:00 am

10 Picture Books £9.93 @ Asda EntertainmentYesterday was World Book Day and last night I promised we'd continue to promote the wonderous world of books and reading, well...read on!

You really can't underestimate the value and benefits of sitting down and reading with your kids; for both of you.  With your time and attention focused solely on them (and the book) they feel important and special; the anticipation of what's going to happen in the imaginary world you're both about to step in to is hugely exciting - even if you've read the same book at least 100 times and you both know it word for word, it's still exciting!

Then of course, there is the language and reading development side of things - we all know that the more we read to our children the faster and more developed their langauage skills become, although when you're engaged in a full-blown discussion as to 'why not?!' with your very eloquent three-year-old, the wisdom of this can just very briefly be called into question.

This set of ten books is aimed at those under five and cover a range of subjects that will captivate and amuse your little bookworm.

My favourite book from all the titles included has to be 'What's the Time Little Wolf' - purely because it has a character called Smellybreff!

If you take advantage of this deal you'll save yourself a whopping £40.07 as the rrp on this collection is £50.00 - I do like to start the day with saving money!

Watership Down DVD Box Set £16.14 @ Asda Entertainment

by Sarah Macdonald in Deals on 12 February, 2010 at 9:00 am

Watership Down DVD Box Set £16.14 @ Asda EntertainmentAs soon as I saw this deal the haunting sounds of Art Garfunkel filled my ears and all the emotion that comes with watching Watership Down filled my heart.

Compared to today's animated movies the Watership Down animation is positively archaic BUT, put any man, woman or child in front of it and they will be entranced and enthralled by the trials and tribulations of Fiver and Hazel and Co. and their run-ins with the Owsla - oh, even writing that word gives me the shivers, they are BAD BUNNIES!

This lovely box set contains 14 DVDs featuring all 39 episodes of this wonderful animated series.  The episodic format makes them ideal for younger children who, let's face it, have the attention span of newts and can't/won't/don't want to sit down for the length of an entire movie, so now they can enjoy dipping in and out of bite-sized chunks of the joy that is Watership Down.*

Watership Down DVD Box Set £16.14 @ Asda EntertainmentEnter the code KID10 to get 10% off the published price and delivery is free.

*playpennies are not responsible for the inevitable begging and pleading to have a pet bunny called Hazel, that comes as a direct result of buying these DVDs and allowing your child(ren) to watch them.
