Beanstalk Baby Play Centre £4.49 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

Argos Ebay Outlet is selling the Beanstalk Baby Play Centre brand new and with a 12 month warranty for just £4.49, plus 99p postage, bringing it to £5.48.  They’re £12.99 at Amazon, and even second hand sales sites have them listed around £5 excluding postage.

No, that’s not a new year’s resolution, per se, but the Beanstalk Baby Play Centre is a bright and sunny plastic blow up contraption that pumps up really easily, according to Argos reviewers. It has a dangling sun and a smiling face to brighten up the day.

The Beanstalk Baby Play Centre is basically a multi-function activity centre, with dangly bits, moveable bit s and noisy bits, with a pit for sitting in. This can be filled with water, balls or as one reviewer suggests a blanket and toys, making it incredibly versatile for indoor and outdoor use.

The play centre is dispatched within 24 hours and is suitable from about 9 months – or I suppose when they’re sitting up on their own?

Inflated, the Beanstalk Baby Play Centre has a 95.25cm diameter and reaches 61cm in height.

Waybaloo Story Time Bed £58.98 @ Argos Ebay

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 20 November, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Waybaloo Story Time Bed £58.98 @ Argos EbayArgos Ebay are selling the Waybaloo Story Time Bed for £54.99, with £3.99 delivery totalling £58.98. It is brand new and comes with a 12 month Argos warranty. It's currently £66.99 at Amazon and £141 at Very.

This gorgeous looking Waybaloo Story Time Bed from Waybaloo is ideal for boys or girls who don’t want an overkill of pink. It has 12mm printed MDF panels and has tubular steel frame.  There’s also a side table that converts to a seat or a shelf, and apparently the seat is strong enough for a parent to sit on during the bed time – story time routine.

There are two printed fabric under bed storage drawers, which is always useful in a child’s room, and the bed itself is weighs 18kg. They say it’s suitable for 1 person self-assembly – and in my experience you want to do it in nap time, or you’ll have a very eager toddler to help you.

They supply the allen key, but you’ll need a screwdriver, and the bed is suitable for children aged 18 months – five years.

There’s no mattress included, so you’ll need to get a separate one at 140cm length and 69cm width.

Fisher Price Toy Story 3 Talking Chatter Telephone £11.98 @ Argos

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 6 November, 2011 at 11:00 am

Fisher Price Toy Story 3 Talking Chatter Telephone £11.98 @ Argos Come a bit closer. I have a secret to tell you. You know those ring-dial phones you get for toddlers? I just love love love playing with them. There's simply nothing more soothing, for some strange reason, than turning that dial. The Fisher Price Toy Story 3 Talking Chatter Telephone is onsale through the Argos eBay outlet for £11.98 including delivery.

Now, one of the things that made Toy Story such a great series of movies, for me at least, was the use of real toys. Like Barbie, and I especially liked the way they even got the sound of her moving just right. Took me right back to my childhood! The telephone in the third movie is also based on a classic toy, unsurprisingly from Fisher Price. And you can still buy this one if you want, rather than the Toy Story one. It is available at Argos for £5.34 including delivery, if you want.

The Toy Story 3 version is bigger, and has more features, hence the heftier price tag. You can use the dial to 'call' Woody or Buzz Lightyear for a chat, listen to the chatter telephone ring to attract your attention or use the telephone to hear about how to get by the monkey and out of the day care centre.

As the talking chatter phone is pushed along it makes a squeaking sound and the  eyes move up and down. Batteries required and (sadly) not included - you'll need 3 x AA. It is suitable for ages 2 years and over.

Lego Lights Mini Torch £2.98 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

by Lynley Oram in Deals on 30 October, 2011 at 11:00 am

Lego Lights Mini Torch £2.98 @ Argos Ebay OutletFancy a bit of Christmas shopping? This is a bit of a fun one, for you or other adults. Kids too if you like but it seems a bit of a waste on them! As far as I can tell from the comments on HUKD, the Lego Lights Mini Torch is a firm favourite for most grownups. Argos is selling them for £1.99 each, plus 99p for delivery that makes £2.98.

I'm getting two - it seems like a fun, but useful, little Christmas present for my son's teacher and the teaching assistant. I've included the price as £2.98 each, as the 99p delivery charge is per item, not for an order. So effectively, that's the price.

This incredibly cute Lego torch keyring will make the perfect gift for any Lego fan, and lets face it. Anyone who has been a kid counts as a Lego fan even if, like me, you didn't actually have any. There's just something so friendly about the stuff.

The brilliant bright light allows you to do an assortment of things, from finding your keys to taking it on camping trips or you can even get under the covers and read your bedtime story with ease. The website describes it as an ideal accessory for children and adults alike.

One comment often made is that the keyring is bigger than expected. The Lego man stands at 7cm tall and his posable legs can be used to angle light on all situations from finding your keys to sneaking around your room after bedtime.

Press and hold the button for a constant source of light whenever and wherever you need it. It does require batteries - 3 x CR2025 whatever they are. Luckily some are included. For ages 5 years and over.

Graco Twin Set £11.99 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 9 August, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Graco Twin Set £11.99 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

Argos’ Ebay Outlet are offering a Graco Twin Set for £11.99 plus £1.99 for postage.

I always hoped for twins, but  since actually having my daughter, have been so grateful for having just one baby at a time. I have major respect for the mums and dads that do it all at once now, with two or more.  And especially if the twins or more come after the first child.  I can just imagine the solo sibling wanting twins of her own though, so this is a great little set if your little ones want twins of their own.

This set from Argos Ebay outlet doesn’t come with the dolls, but you will get a twin deluxe stroller, a twin travel cot, a dolly gym and 9-piece accessory set.  Accessories include bibs, bowls and spoons, hanging chars for the play gym, and what I think are boxes of baby food.

Apparently although the picture shows an older girl, the reviewers feel it’s too small and flimsy for anyone over 3 years old.
Still, most feel it’s good value for money and if you’re really on a tight budget, you could probably even split it into several gifts making it even better value for money.

Winnie The Pooh Organiser Bag £5.78 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 26 July, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Winnie The Pooh Organiser Bag £5.78 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

This really cute Winnie the Pooh Organiser Bag is £4.79 at the Argos Ebay Outlet store at the moment, with 99p delivery charge.

Okay, cards on the table, I have no idea what an organiser bag is when it’s at home? Is  it a laptop bag? A nappy bag? Something for toddlers? I honestly couldn’t tell you – feel free to leave a comment if you know though! That said, this is a  really cute looking bag, and I could definitely see it as a ‘beyond the nappy bag’ bag.

According to the description it is a ‘coral and pink’ bag, with yellow trim, and is made of polyester.

The Winnie the Pooh Organiser Bag has magnetic closing side pockets, which I always think is so much better  than Velcro and it has four external and four internal pockets.

The carry handle is adjustable, and it also includes a ‘plush key fob’, which does make me think it’s not meant to be a child’s bag, specifically.

Size wise, the Winnie the Pooh Organiser is 30cm high, 40cm wide and 11cm deep (so big enough for my laptop!) and empty, weighs .8 kg, so nice and light too.

If you can figure out what you would use it for, and like cutesy, this is a great price for a very cutesy product.

Dream Town Cherry Blossom Stores Playhouse £18.99 @ Argos Ebay

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 29 April, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Dream Town Cherry Blossom Stores Playhouse £18.99 @ Argos Ebay

This rather cute Dream Town Cherry Blossom Stores playhouse is £18.99 at Argos Ebay right now, with an additional £1.99 for postage making it £20.98 in total  - still cheaper than the £29.99 at Amazon, the £34.99 you’d pay for it at Play.com or £44.95 at BPSalesdirect.com

I think this is a really cute looking little playhouse, and the fact that it’s only ‘half’ a building is quite  nice too as it should take up a little less space in your home, which is always useful.  The shop is made of fabric, and has a red tiled roof, purple door and awning over the windows.

It comes with a till, play money and a shop counter included. In size, it is (h)110cm x (w)96cm x (d)50cm and according to reviewers at Argos – where it is out of stock  - it is very sturdy and although girly looking, still fantastic for boys or girls.

It is easy to assemble, they say, and good quality.

If it’s at Argos Ebay, I guess this is your last chance to nab one, so don’t delay!

Chad Valley Inflatable Pool £8.99 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 18 February, 2011 at 9:00 am

Chad Valley Inflatable Pool £8.99 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

I know it seems a little crazy to be thinking about swimming pools in February, but these Inflatable Chad Valley Pools are a great price for the prepared frugal parent.

I doubt I'm alone in willing spring to be here in full force, so in preparation, now's not a bad time to look at a nice little pool or ball pit for your garden.

As a pool it has a 140l capacity, and as a ball pit, can hold 330 of those ball pit balls, which aren't supplied. Apparently it takes about four minutes to fill the pool and about five minutes to inflate it, which is pretty good going when you've got an excited toddler chomping at the bit.

The pool comes with a repair patch included , and it's suitable for indoor and outdoor use – but it's not one an adult can lounge in when things hot up – it has a weight restriction of 35kg.

Standard delivery is £1.99 and there are 'more than 10' in stock.

Chad Valley Guitar Set £6.99 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

by Luschka van Onselen in Deals on 17 February, 2011 at 7:00 pm

Chad Valley Guitar Set £6.99 @ Argos Ebay Outlet

The Chad Valley Guitar Set is £6.99 at Argos Ebay Outlet, reduced from the usual £24.99 and a great looking set for aspiring young guitarists. On it's own the guitar is worth over £10.

A lovely little set for any young music lover in your family, the Chad Valley Guitar set includes a guitar, strap, headset microphone, microphone, stand and amp with volume control.

The guitar includes demo songs, a swing bar and 3 drum keys . It's not a very environmentally friendly gift as it requires 12x AA batteries, which aren’t included.

While some reviewers complained that it didn’t last very long and had to be returned for another one – particularly with a working mic – others absolutely loved it and their children did too.

Although from Argos' Ebay Outlet this is a brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item and there are 'more than 10 available'. Postage is also somewhat cheaper than at Argos, at £1.99, so a pretty nifty gift set for under £9.

Delivery will be within 2-3 days, and you have a 12 month Argos warranty.
