Celebaby: No More Children For Amanda Holden And ANOTHER One For Tori Spelling (Already!)

Celebaby: No More Children For Amanda Holden And ANOTHER One For Tori Spelling (Already!)It won't come as a surprise to anyone when they hear that Amanda Holden has decided not to tempt fate any further by having any more children.

The utter horror of her unborn son dying at seven months gestation is something I'll never forget reading about; it was everything crossed whilst she was pregnant with her new little daughter Hollie, whose birth very nearly resulted in Amanda losing her life.

Amanda suffered a massive hemorrhage which caused her heart to stop and had to undergo emergency surgery.  Talking to Philip and Holly on This Morning, recently, she said, "I won't have any more children, that is it. And this is obviously what I am meant to have."

Very wise indeed; it all got more than just a little bit scary the last time!

Tori Spelling

Tori Spelling on the other hand seems to have gone a bit baby mad!  She had baby number three, Hattie, back in October and has just announced that she's preggars with baby number four - I'm telling you, the woman has lost her maternal mind!

I can't criticise too much because my two eldest children are exactly a year apart, in age, to the day - they're not impressed by this, but it's their own fault! If they'd arrived on their due dates then they would have been the same age for about three weeks, as it is it's something like 10 hours.

However, my logic was getting it 'all out of the way' in one go, not to just keep adding to my number!

Tori's husband, Dean,  did say that as soon as they knew Tori was pregnant with Hattie they'd have to have another baby afterwards, "As soon as I saw it was positive and it was a pregnancy, we both thought we need to have a fourth - at the same time."

Maybe they've got an aversion to odd numbers, which would suggest they'll stop at four.   But you know what, somehow I rather doubt it!

Celebaby: Bumps Don't Always Equal Frumps!

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 11 February, 2012 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: Bumps Don't Always Equal Frumps!Stacey Solomon and Una Healy now have some rather obvious baby bumps to show off and they've been doing it in style, without looking over the top or like they're trying too hard to be trendy and preggy.

Amanda Holden has gone back to work and Victoria Beckham is still hauling poor little Harper around the globe.

Stacey And Una

When I was pregnant with my older two, the preggars dress code was baggy t-shirt and leggings - comfy but NOT at all attractive and did absolutely nothing to make you feel like a beautiful mum-to-be.

Have a look at Una's dress - HOW does she get away with not looking frumpy in it?!  It's so unfair - if I wore that NOW, even, I'd look like terrible in it and how awesome does Stacey look in that dress?

In one of my off-line lives I'm a photographer; I know that almost every single image we see in print have been subjected to Photoshop trickery of varying degrees and, until this very instant, it's never occurred to me that the same probably applies/has applied to pictures of expectant celeb' mums!

Nothing more than the most hectic application of 'shop would have made me look better in my preggy pictures, but I'm not feeling so bad now.

Amanda And Victoria

Amanda Holden has gone back to work as a judge on Britain's Got Talent, briefly, and left her new daughter Hollie in the capable hands of her Grandmother (Hollie's Grandmother, not Amanda's!).

She says, "I am euphoric to be heading back to my place at the judges desk - to be honest after the last couple of weeks I'm euphoric to be anywhere!  This is just a very fleeting visit to Scotland and with the weather being so extreme I've decided to let my mum have some quality time with her new granddaughter - but I am looking forward to introducing Hollie to everyone on my next trip."

Extreme weather?  It's -12C in my only 80-miles-north-of-London part of the world, I'm not surprised she's left little Hollie safely tucked up warm and cosy at home.

Of course, if Amanda was Victoria Beckham then it would be parade-the-baby-around business as usual, evidenced at JFK airport in freezing temperatures earlier this week!

Whilst Harper had a coat on, VB was in short sleeves! I flew back into the UK from Johannesburg last Saturday, was wearing jeans, long boots, a couple of jumpers and I was FROZEN.

I know Victoria's, now famously, said, "The airport is my runway," (oh please!) but short sleeves and a little skirt in the middle of winter?  MADNESS; perhaps she hasn't got round to designing a winter range for her clothes label yet *smirk*

Celebaby: Amanda Holden Introduces Us To Hollie Rose

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 7 February, 2012 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: Amanda Holden Introduces Us To Hollie RoseI'm still stunned at the trauma some people go through when trying to build their family - in recent years we only have to look at Lily Cooper and Amanda Holden to feel truly blessed when any of our parenthood journeys are uneventful.

Hollie Rose

Amanda gave birth to Hollie Rose two weeks ago and almost lost her life in the process, but now she's almost well enough to be thinking about going back to work as a judge on Britain's Got Talent.

A friend has told the press that Amanda won't do anything silly and won't go back to work unless her medical team say it's okay for her to do; she's also said that working on Britain's Got Talent is hardly 'greulling manual labour' so all should be fine.

I like Amanda Holden lots and I want to know how it is she looks the same now as she did at least 15 years ago!

David Beckham gets another red card

David Beckham is still pimping his men's knickers range around the country and apparently said he didn't know where to look when he first saw the advert, starring himself wearing them.

"When we were watching the Super Bowl yesterday [Sunday] in a room of about 20 people and it came on and I actually didn't know where to look - it was kind of embarrassing. The kids loved it but they were also embarrassed as well because there was other people in the room."

DB was also on the Jonathan Ross show the other night and also told about how he was 'sent off' the touchline for disagreeing with the referee at a kiddies football match.

"I was watching the kids play the other day, it was the game just before they were playing.  It was the younger kids of Romeo’s club, and they’re playing in the game and there was a penalty given. And the kids are seven-years-old and he sent the kid off.

And I was like, "Come on, he’s seven-years-old, referee, you can’t send him off." And he looked at me and was like, "Yes, I can."  And I was like, "Ok, well, you can’t, he’s seven-years-old."

And he came over and gave me a red card. He told me to get out of the park.  For real. The gate was only 20 yards away and I waited and went back in when my son’s game was on."

You can just imagine that ref' going home to his family and saying, "You'll never GUESS who I gave a red card to today! DAVID BECKHAM!" - it'll be one of those 'no-one-messes-with-me-when-I've-got-my-referee-uniform-on' stories that will be dined out on for years; trust me, I know a couple of football refs and they take themselves very seriously.

Celebaby: Birth Almost Kills Amanda Holden

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 26 January, 2012 at 11:00 am

Celebaby: Birth Almost Kills Amanda HoldenYesterday it was reported that Amanda Holden had been in hospital under observation since Monday.  She checked herself in and as a result had to miss filming in Blackpool for the new series of Britain's Got Talent (mind you with some of the acts that audition, you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise!).

Friends, speaking about her hospitalisation said, "She went in under her own steam. She was kept in hospital under observation on Monday night and is staying at least another night."

It all sounded purely precautionary until very early this morning, when it was revealed that Amanda had given birth, come perilously close to death due to massive blood loss and was in intensive care!

Celebaby: Fingers Crossed For Amanda Holden

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 25 August, 2011 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: Fingers Crossed For Amanda HoldenRight at the beginning of this year Amanda Holden announced that she was already more than 20 weeks pregnant.

The media went into overdrive as Amanda had been photographed a lot during the preceeding five months and there didn't seem to be a hint of a baby bump, even when she was wearing figure hugging dresses to various premieres!

Amanda was overjoyed at the prospect of becoming a mother again, having suffered a miscarriage the previous year, and all seemed to be going well until February.

I remember reading the news, clear as day, that at seven months pregnant Amanda had lost her unborn son; my heart, along with most other people's, was sore for her and her family.

This morning I read the news that Amanda is now three months pregnant and expecting a little girl.

This is HAPPY news - if a genii popped out of a magic lantern and granted me one wish I'd 'give' it to Amanda and wish that this little girly arrives safe and sound.

Despite reading the words of families who've experienced such tragedy, I just cannot even being to comprehend the heartbreak and devestation.

Amanda is currently playing Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical and has released a statement explaining that she'll be pulling out of her role early:

Chris, Lexi and I are delighted to announce that I am pregnant and we are expecting a little girl.

The first half of this year has been unbelievably difficult for us and so we are beyond delighted to share this news with you.

My first priority is of course my family.

I will therefore be adjusting one of my professional commitments accordingly.

Due to its physical content this means I will end my contract with Shrek The Musical eight weeks early. I will endeavour to continue the show until the 3rd October.

I do however ask you to bear with me as I will be putting myself and this pregnancy first.

I have taken medical advice and although I am a strong girl and this is 'once again' a good healthy pregnancy I will absolutely not be taking any risks.

Your ongoing support for us this year has been so touching. We are enormously grateful.

Thank you so much for your understanding.
Amanda xxxxxx

Doctors will be keeping a very close eye on Amanda as her pregnancy progresses; they were left bemused as to what happened the last time as, by all accounts, Amanda's son was 'physically perfect'.

I will be keeping everything VERY firmly crossed and look forward to being able to bring happy news of her daughter's arrival early next year.

Celebaby: Love And Best Wishes For Amanda Holden

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 8 February, 2011 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: Love And Best Wishes For Amanda HoldenUnless you've been living on the moon for the last few days I'm sure you'll already have heard, or read, that Amanda Holden has lost her baby; she was seven months pregnant.

I don't think anyone can fail to have a heavy feeling in their heart when they think about this, whether you're a parent or someone with even the smallest capacity for empathy.

News of her pregnancy was only made public in recent weeks and everyone was staggered at how she'd managed to keep such a far-gone baby bump 'secret'.  The news was kept private partly due to the fact that Amanda suffered a miscarriage last year too and, obviously, wanted to make sure everything was fine and going well before broadcasting it to the world.

Devestated and distraught are among the words being used by the press to describe how the family feel, I can only imagine they don't even come close.

Our hearts, love and thoughts go out to Amanda Holden and her family.

Celebaby: More Preggars Celebs

by Sarah Macdonald in Celebaby on 22 January, 2011 at 10:00 am

Celebaby: More Preggars CelebsI was going to write about Jordan but then I just couldn't be bothered, so instead here are some more preggo celebrities - much more interesting (well, maybe just a little bit. 'Much' might be a little bit of an exaggeration!)

Myleene Klass

Yes, I know we already knew she was up the duff but I just want to rejoice in the fact that, at six months gone now, she's already put on three stone. YIPPEEEE!

I know it's catty and I don't care - if she's piled the pounds on already then there'll be lots more still to come.  This only makes me happy because, with every single one of my three pregnancies, I always ended up enormous *shudder, thank goodness never again!*

However, I'm sure that within half an hour of giving birth she'll be back to normal celebrity size and insisting she hasn't done any exercise or been on a diet.

Victoria Beckham

She's expecting baby number four.  I'm not fussed about VB either way and couldn't really care less what she gets up to, but I really do hope she has a little girl this time.

There are rumours that sex selection (available in the States) might have been deployed but there is absolutely NO substance to this and really, who cares?!  Would the world really stop turning if they had, I don't think so.

Amanda Holden

Now this one came as a bit of a surprise over Crimbo and New Year! Amanda had been photographed at various events for months, looking very slim in tight-fitting evening dresses, then all of a sudden 'Hey everyone, I'm six months pregnant'.

In the photos that I saw during the festive hols, she didn't look any different from one to the other - HOW did do that?!

Everyone here at PPs HQ wishes these celeb' mummies all the best (even Myleene as long as she puts on another three stone *grin*)
