I'm tired of all the bitching, complaining, backstabbing and general 'bleurgh' that's going on - Peter and Katie are at it again (arguing and being 'mean' to each other in public, rather than 'at it'), Halle Berry and her ex, Gabriel Aubry, have been digging at each other and throwing legal action around for at least the last 18 months; so much so, in fact, that a judge has ordered them to take parenting classes for the sake of their daughter Nahla!

So today's Celebaby is nice and light and fluffy - because that's how I like things.

I've yet to come across anyone who doesn't admire Alicia Keys.

She's beautiful, talented and one of those diginified celebrities rather than some others we can all mention.

So I'm sure everyone will be thrilled to hear that she gave birth to a handsome baby boy late Thursday night!

His name is Egypt Dean and both mother and father are, obviously, thrilled.

Using the tried and tested celebrity baby announcement service, Twitter, Egypt Dean's dad, Kaseem Dean (aka Swizz Beatz), made his feelings clear to the world

Alicia and Kaseem got married earlier this year and Egypt is their first child together.

Swizz Beatz has three children from past relationships: Prince Nasir Dean, aged 10, Kasseem Dean Jr, aged four and a one-year-old daughter.

Singer Mary J Blige also tweeted her congrats to the couple.

In today's Celebaby we get a first look at Ethan Edward Smith with his parents, Dannii Minogue and Kris Smith, and four-inch heels on stage when you're preggars are not such a good idea for Alicia Keys.

Say AAAHHHH!

My respect for Dannii Minogue shot through the roof this week; like her sister she's very dignified under the glare of the constant media spotlight and appears to be very unpretentious.

The first pictures of her new son, Ethan Edward, were released yesterday but not by OK! Magazine, not in a 10-page glossy spread shot by Hello but a family snapshot posted on her Twitter page! HURRAH!

Dannii has reportedly turned down offers of around £100,000 for the exclusive rights to the first photos and good for her! The photo is lovely! Dannii looks stunning, and about 10-years-old, with not a scrap of makeup on and baby Ethan is all wrapped up and set to go home.

Even if there are magazine spreads and the usual staged family shots to come, I will always admire the family for not selling-out the first ones.

Stage Tumble for Alicia Keys

If you've ever been pregnant you'll know that at some point you have to admit defeat and pack the high heels away for a while.

Alicia Keys may just have reached this point as she tumbled off an enormous pair of four-inch heels on stage this week.

She's five months preggars now and there were gasps from the audience when she stumbled backwards and fell over.

The show went on however, and mum and baby are both fine.

In Tuesday's edition of celebaby we mentioned that speculation was rife and the whispers of 'is Alicia Keys pregnant or not?' so loud that a noise abatement order was  imminent!

Well whisper, gossip, ruminate and speculate no more because THE announcement was finally made yesterday along with the revelation that Ms Keys is also engaged to her boyfriend, rapper 'Swizz Beats' (his real name is Kasseem Dean...no, I haven't heard of him either).

The announcement was made after the two of them attended a charity evening Black Ball event in London for Alicia's Keep a Child Alive charity which...

"provides with your help, first class AIDS care and support, care for orphans, food with a healthy dose of love and respect to the Mothers, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters, Aunts, Uncles, Sons, Daughters, Husbands, Wives, Friends, Neighbors, and Lovers affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India."

...a very worthy cause I'm sure you'll agree.

Alicia and Swizz (or must we call him Kasseem?) have been together since Autumn 2008 and friends say, "They're very happy," well you'd hope so wouldn't you otherwise what on earth are they doing?!  Official spokespeople have confirmed that the wedding will take place, "in a private ceremony later this year."

I'm glad; I've said it before and I'll say it again, whilst I like to see the odd snap shot of a celeb' wedding or baby here and there, I really do have much more respect for those who keep the ins and outs of their private lives to themselves and let us mere mortals just have a sneaky peak now and again.

I can't think of any instances where Alicia Keys has ever been anything other than dignified, utterly fantastic and a positive role model.

Is She Or Isn't She?

The rumourmongers are hard at work in the celebrity 'is-she-isn't-she-pregnant?' department of the rumour mill and speculation over whether or not Alicia Keys in in the family way is rife!

I must confess that when we were watching her guest appearance on American Idols a couple of weeks ago (it's one of my few and far between guilty pleasures!) we did sit and muse over this very thing!  At the time there were two possibilities a) she most definitely was expecting or b) she was the victim of one of the worst wardrobe faux pas we'd seen in a long time.

Well now it seems that option a) is the more likely of the two, although looking at that outfit BOTH a) and b) could apply!

Permanent Parenting for Pete?

When you look back over your life I'm sure, like me, there are things you did where you can't help but wonder 'what on EARTH was I thinking?!'  I'm willing to bet money that this is what goes through Peter Andre's mind when/if he looks back at how he chased Jordan when they were in the 'I'm a (d-list)Celebrity' jungle a few years ago.

I can't believe they were married for four years - a stay of the same duration at one of Her Majesty's free 'hotels' would have been less of an ordeal - and whilst Pete's managed to escape the same can't be said for the Price offspring.

I don't care how much money she has, I'm not interested in how much she says she loves her kids (and I don't doubt that she does), no one in their right mind would agree that the people, influences and goodness knows what else these babies are being exposed to, and witnessing, on a regular basis (and at only two, four and eight years old, that's what they are) is appropriate or responsible!

Those helpful 'insiders' have been happy to spill the beans again and reveal that Pete is very concerned about his kids and is now looking to have them with him on a permanent basis...

“Pete’s naturally worried about the association that Katie has with them – he doesn’t want people like that round his children. Pete has been in a legal battle with Katie for months over agreed contact with his children, now he wants them to live permanently with him.”

And Pete's view? “Just like any other parent, what I care about is whether [they] are a good influence on my children. I would fight to the death for my kids.”

Good for him I say and I can't help but think that living with Pete full-time rather than Katie will only be a good thing for the kids too.
