TomTom Start UK £67 @ ASDA Direct

21 September 2010

Asda I still haven’t bought myself GPS. It’s insane and ridiculous. I mean, I hate getting lost, have yet to figure out a sense of direction, and can’t exactly read a map while driving. So why have I waited so long? Because they’ve been so expensive for so long! This is a much more affordable price at £67 for a TomTom Start UK.

It will cost you £4.95 for delivery if you want it to arrive at your door, or you can arrange to collect it instore for free (selected stores only) because it is over £25. TomTom are one of the leading GPS manufacturers and have been around for a while.

Personally I prefer Garmin and am eyeballing the GARMIN-ASUS phone, but TomTom do the job well. The Start UK has an easy touch screen with a simple menu system that’s pretty intuitive to use. You get the UK roadmaps Asda2included in this package but you’ll have to pay if you want maps from further afield.

You can plan your routes in advance and all sorts but it is likely you’ll have to pay a yearly fee if you want traffic updates too.
