Marks & Spencer Launch Special Needs Clothing Range For Kids

Edit 17/02/16: The Specialist Bodysuits & Sleepwear range is now back in stock at M&S.

Marks and Spencer, well there's a company that listens to their customers. They're introducing a new range which includes large bodysuits, sleep suits and vests with poppers which have been designed for older children that need to wear nappies.

The range has been appearing on the website over the last few days but is selling out almost as soon as it does. Marks and Spencer say "items will appear gradually over the next couple of weeks"

M&S listened to mum Zoe Hardcastle's plea. She was struggling to get suitable clothing for her three-year-old disabled son Caleb who needs to wear a nappy and uses a feeding tube daily. After her mother in law Rita Kutt then wrote to M&S asking them to consider creating something suitable, they designed this new range which is suitable for children with special needs aged up to eight years old.

The range includes larger versions of bodysuits, sleep suits and vests and prices start from £3 for a bodysuit to £7 for a sleep suit. Seems reasonably priced to me!

M&S say they will monitor this new range and if it performs well, it may be extended, fingers crossed!

This new range from M&S comes as another mum, Laura Rutherford, has started a petition asking supermarkets to stock larger nappies for children with special needs. You can find out more about that and sign her petition if you wish here.
