retraining

with unis being so expensive now, what options do stay at home mums have for retraining? my partner works so we're not 'minimum wage' or on any benefits but there's not 2p spare at the end of the month to spend on training :(

Do you go to a children's centre, one o'clock club, or surestart scheme? There's quite a few government initiatives out there aimed at helping mums get back into the workforce. Also if you're in London try http://www.womenlikeus.org.uk they provide help and resources as well as advice.

Good advice. Or the library. our library often has computer courses and other courses that are free if you claim certain benefits or sometimes are just free or really cheap courses. i know it's more than 2p but it's a start!
