Quick breakfast ideas?
We never have breakfast and the teacher at DS1's school says he has to start having breakfast and I'm wondering what quick and healthy and not expensive breakfast options there are.
From our Facebook page:
Kim Stuart-Jones Crikey! I can't imagine mine not eating breakfast! They demand it the minute they open their eyes!!
Breakfast favourites here are plain old cereal (weetabix, shreddies - try and stay away from the sugary stuff) I always put some fruit ontop soon. Mine also love porridge. The quaker porridge sachets are great as you can make the porridge in the microwave in a couple of minutes.
Some brown toast with honey or jam or even cheese is great for filling them up!
We also make blueberry pancakes on a weekend (google Jamie O's one cup pancakes - so simple!)
If you are totally pushed for time a banana will give bags of energy and takes no time at all!

Nadine Dunkley Bit concerned that you don't feed your child before school to be honest! How is he supposed to concentrate on an empty stomach!

I'm partial to the individually wrapped chocolate brioche or the chocolate filled crepes...
Lol @ Emma! Those are terrible suggestions for a child's breakfast!!
