To use this code, you need to manually type in the code into the Promotional Code box on the Shopping Bag page. Do not cut and paste. When I did that it told me that the code was not valid. But, when I typed it in, the code worked just fine. It only works on full price items.
I tested it out on an order of three reduced items, and a pair of full price socks for £2.50. While my total order came to over £40, the code only deducted the sock's price of £2.50. I tried it next on a couple of full price party frocks for a five year old, and it deducted the £10 without any quibbles. That said, it did highlight something else. If you spend more than £40 on the New Look site, you get free delivery. But if your order is under £50, and you apply the £10 discount, the total will drop to below £40 and you'll lose the free delivery. Standard delivery is £3.95.
