Celebaby: Catwalk Called Off For Cindy Crawford's Daughter

16 February 2012

Kaia Crawford

A month ago I told you that Cindy Crawford's daughter had been chosen to model for Versace and how everyone was very excited about it - everyone being the Versace fashion house and Cindy herself.

Well now that seems to have changed, at least for Cindy.  She's been reported as saying her daughter, at just aged 10, is too young - ya think?!

"At this point, she's too young to pursue a career, there aren't even a handful of jobs for a 10-year-old girl.  But if she's 17 and wants to try it, of course, what can I say? She kind of jokingly said - I'm not even sure if it was jokingly - "I might model first because you don't have to know how to do anything, but then I want to be a baby nurse.""

I wonder if there were more than a handful of modelling jobs for 10-year-olds, whether I'd have just written a different Celebaby story altogether...? OOOH, cynical? ME?! Surely not!

Bobbi Kristina

My heart is SO sore for Whitney Houston's 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina!  I can't even begin to image the pain she's in and the pictures of her, in the news and in the press, being taken to hospital herself in an ambulance just hours after her mother's body was found were just heartbreaking.

Her father Bobbi Brown cut short a tour and flew into California from Tennessee to be with his daughter who had completely broken down and was feared to be suicidal.  I'm glad to say that, for now at least, she seems to be doing a little better - well, as 'doing better' as she can possibly be.

"We continue to provide love and support to Bobbi Kristina," Bobbi Brown revealed to ABC News, "She is dealing with the tragedy of her mother’s death and would prefer to do it outside of the public eye. I ask again that our privacy be respected."

Whitney Houston's funeral is being held this Saturday; poor kid, I can only wish her all the love in the world for the days, weeks and even years ahead.
