'Mamu' Moses Basket £28 @ Mamas and Papas

'Mamu' Moses Basket £28 @ Mamas and PapasOhhhh one of the most enjoyable pregnancy musings for me was over moses baskets!

It was never a question of whether or not to have a moses basket as that's always been a given - they are the ultimate in portable sleeping as far as I'm concerned: baby in the bedroom next to you - easy, baby sleeping in his, or her, own room - easy, baby sleeping downstairs so you can keep an eye on them as you get on with other things - easy, weekends away - easy!

No, no, the question was WHICH moses basket to have!  Although that was always a given too really, it was Mamas & Papas all the way for me; pricey sometimes but their design and build quality are to die for.

So I think this 'Mamu' Mamas & Papas moses basket is an absolute steal at just £28!  It's elegant, simple and neutral so if you're keeping yourself, and everyone else, in suspense as to the gender of your new arrival this basket will be fine regardless of whether you have a boy or a girl.

It doesn't come with a stand but that's because there are so many stands to choose from - white ones, pine ones, folding ones and rocking ones and rather than impose thier choice on you M&P have left that decision to you.

Standard delivery applies or you can collect for free in store.

Nice price... I might get this one. I was wondering if all Moses Baskets were the same size, as it's something I am just starting to look at.

I compared this to a few on Mothercare, and most of theirs seem to be 78x30. This Mamas and Papas one seems to be bigger (85x45) - which I am happy with.

Mamas and Papas baskets do tend to be bigger than most standard baskets.

I remember being a bit worried that I would then be tied in to only being able to use Mamas and Papas bedding with it, but I didn't need to as non-M&P sheets etc were just fine.

Oh that's good to know Sarah. I was looking at the bedding prices on M&P and they were quite steep, so I gave them a miss.

Ordered yesterday by the way :)

Is the Mamu moses from m&p good & sturdy? Does the hood stay up?

Hi Jenny. I used it for a few months when I had my baby. I really liked the Mamu Moses basket from Mamas and Papas. It's sturdy, and the hood works just fine.
