Lily Allen has spoken about her experience of stillbirth four years ago, and praised her husband for his support during the ordeal.
During an interview with Jonathan Ross to be screened on ITV tomorrow night, the singer/songwriter said:
"... Actually what I took home from that experience was even though it was the most unfortunate thing that can ever happen to a person, I was very fortunate in the sense that I have a loving partner to go home to and share that experience with."
Lily and husband Sam Cooper's first child, a baby boy, was stillborn when Lily was six months pregnant. Lily also miscarried in 2008 when she was four months pregnant.

The couple got married in 2011 and have two daughters, three-year-old Ethel Mary and one-year-old Marnie Rose.
Last night, Lily took to Twitter to set the record straight about a myth that she feels dominates the media when it comes to her kids. She wrote:
"It's sad that because I don't post pictures of my children across social media and my trying to shelter them from men wielding cameras that to a 3 year old look like guns, that the British media insist on insinuating therfore that I am a bad mother. I am brilliant. And I will continue to protect them from all the cynicism and grotesque consumerist misogyny till the day I die."
