If you're a writer in the UK blogosphere, we've got a little bit of news that might be of interest to you. We're going to give away an iPad 2 to one talented writer, in the PlayPennies iSave, iWrite, iPad competition!

How to enter to win an iPad 2:

Simply write a post about money-saving and publish it on your blog. You must include this intro sentence and link to PlayPennies somewhere in your post:

When you've published your post, drop us a line here to let us know, and we will add you to the competition entries list below. Here is our main tip:

We read a lot of money-saving tips every day, so we're going to want to read an original, well thought out post. Entertain us!

Your blog should be at least 1 month old

I'm trying to win an iPad 2 in the iSave, iWrite, iPad competition from PlayPennies.com. To save money on your shopping, don't be afraid to go to the reduced counters at the supermarket. I regularly stock up my freezer with bread and meat this way, saving a fortune and having some good cuts of meat, chicken and fish in my freezer for a fraction of the full price.

I’m trying to win an iPad 2 in the iSave, iWrite, iPad competition from PlayPennies.com! My whole income is based online. I currently have a desktop and one broken laptop. MY income has decreased drastically due to the recession and my online advertisers are not willing to pay.

With an Ipad 2 I can look at myself in the mirror again. I also run an adult video based website.

OK so I might be trying to teach a granny to suck eggs!!! But here I go anyway. Always use price comparison site, especially when looking to save money. Check hotukdeals.com because there's loads of deals and for those like me who love a freebie, there's even a page for freebies. Yeh I know, you already know about this, but maybe, just maybe someone out there doesn't. Oh and of course there's the money saving expert webiste too, can't forget Martin now can I

To save money just be simple!
Look at for those bargains at your local super market, be smart and check the other stores to. Apps on the iphone/android such as barcode scanner is a great way to determine where the to get the cheapest goods. From tvs to computers its a great nifty app and its free in the app store so you have nothing to lose!

Another great feature about it is the location service. With a quick scan and a good 3g connection the app could tell you where the nearest deal is in your local area! Great!
Shops who also claim to beat the price of other competitors is also a great way to use this app.

just be smart! i know that we are heading into yet another recession but simple ways to save a few bob here and there is all that it takes.

So come on ! Clear your junk lying in the Attic and sell it on ebay! Use a few comparison websites to save you the extra quid or two!

If operating within a two car family with the added consequential finance i.e. bank loan, sell (Mybe your wife’s) car and replace with an older, cheaper and more economical car. The subsequent financial savings are instant with the loan paid off, saving you the monthly payment plus interest and the cheaper running costs of the car. Note – if making these savings using your wife’s car, prepare to accept the opportunity cost of finance over morals.

To save money some tips we generally ignore!
1. Have a shower at work if there is one. It shall result in substantial savings in your annual water bill.
2. Drive at 62 mph on the motorway similar to the maximum allowed speed for HGV's. This shall result in more mpg per tank full as you brake and accelrate less often and your engine operates in more favourable conditions under 2500 rpm in most cases.
3. Change the address on your car insurance to your work address as most places have a secure car park thereby lowering premiums. Also change your profession, i mean tweak it to see any changes in the total costs.
4. Finally grow your own veg if you have a garden. it is lots of fun, reduces costs, keeps you healthy with all the effort, reduces the need for a workout at the gym and is highly sustainable approach in the 21st century!

my tip is instead of buy a daily newspaper which is quite costly, how about waking up early and **borrowing** the neighbours. I have been using this money saving tip for 7 years and thinks its time I share it.

Just wondering if I MUST be in the UK? I have a couple friends southwest of London that the iPad could be shipped to IF I won, would that be okay?
