My teenagers would say that Blow Football is 'retro' and 'classic' and they're right; it's also rather awesome.
I'm trying to think of a suitable Ryan Giggs link here but I fear the only ones I can think of, whilst very funny, might get me fired so...moving on!
Blow Football is one of those games that my nan used to keep in the games drawer she had; it was much-loved and played often, all of us cousins had such a lot of fun playing it and it got REALLY competitive you know!
If you're below a certain age then you might not have come across Blow Football before, but once you've played it you'll never look back.
It doesn't require any batteries, there are no flashing lights, bells or whistles - it's just pure, unadulterated fun.
The goal is simple (I wonder how many more puns I can fit into this post?): blow the football with your straw across the 'pitch' into the opposition goal whilst they try to do the same at the same time.
Madness and hilarity tends to ensue and plenty of cries of 'FOUL!' and 'PENALTY!'.
If you pop over to Amazon you can pick up a game of Blow Football for £2.83 all in, instead of £3.99; a modest saving, yes, but worth it just to be able to play Blow Football again.
