Fabulous Freebie: Kids Eat Free @ Crown Carveries

by Tamsin Oxford in Freebies on 2 February, 2012 at 3:00 pm

Fabulous Freebie: Kids Eat Free @ Crown Carveries

There are few things I love more than the word “free” except, of course, when I get told my offspring can eat for free. That works as well. At the moment Crown Carveries are offering a kids eat free deal during the school half term. Brilliant.

In order to qualify for your kids eat free deal you need to go to the website following the link above and download and print the voucher. Then take the voucher to your nearest Crown Carvery and hand in the voucher when you order your food.

The offer is available all day Saturday 11th February until Saturday 18th February (it excludes the Sunday) and to qualify adults must buy full priced carvery meals. This seems like a pretty good excuse to treat the family to a nice evening out without breaking the bank.

I find that going out to dinner with my child can be a little cringe inducing, even with low priced meals it hurts when she takes four bites, declares herself full and refuses to eat anymore. Free makes me feel much better.

Parents Freebie: Free Green Tea @ Clipper Teas

Fancy a free pack of Clipper Green Tea? Well then, this freebie should make you rather happy. All you have to do is recommend a friend to Clipper Teas and you get a free pack of green tea.

The rules here are simple. To get your free pack of green tea you need to fill in a friend’s details and your own details and you get your packet. It looks like it is an entire box of 25 bags of pure green tea too, which is a bargain!

We love green tea here; it is so good for you and magical for coughs. I had a really bad cough a while ago and it kept me up for weeks until I discovered that cold green tea soothed the tickle enough for me to fall asleep. It’s brilliant.

The free packet of green tea is easy enough to get, the form very minimal and the whole thing very tasty. Yay!

Free Lion King Activity Sheets, Bookmarks And More @ Disney

by Tamsin Oxford in Freebies on 13 January, 2012 at 4:00 pm

Free Lion King Activity Sheets, Bookmarks And More @ Disney

This is pretty good for a freebie as kids get to download and enjoy a bunch of Lion King things and goodies for free without having to first spend any money gathering points. These are part of the Disney Rewards scheme but are totally free.

The free items that you can download and print include a Lion King activity sheet series that has a colouring in page, a spot the difference, some word games and more. This is great for long journeys or entertaining the kids on a rainy afternoon.

Next up in the freebie line-up is the Lion King bookmarks that you can print out for the kids to use in their books. I recommend sticking them to cardboard first. Then the Lion King Buffet and Smoothie maker is the free kit that gives you recipes to make and have fun with, like edible bugs to freak out their friends.

FREEBIE: The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch Pack

by Sarah Macdonald in Freebies on 10 January, 2012 at 12:00 pm

FREEBIE: The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch PackIt's time to get ready for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch again - I've done this for the last few years with my youngest and he loves it, so do I.

The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch takes place over Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 January this year and for the first time in ages I'm going to miss it - I don't think you can include birds that you see 6,000 miles away from your English back garden!

If you're into your garden birds like we are in this family, or you'd like to be, then get organised and ready now, here's how it works:

You register your details on the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch website, download your recording sheet and you'll be sent a free pack.

Choose an hour on either the Saturday or the Sunday when you can just sit and watch the comings and goings of your garden, or local park, and make a note of the birds that pop in to visit.

When you're done you just need to send your results back to the RSPB who'll process all the numbers and publish their findings when they're done.

This is an awesome little thing to do with young ones to get them interested in the world around them and away from computer/TV screens...even if it is just for an hour.

FREEBIE: Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Toothpaste Sample

by Sarah Macdonald in Freebies on 10 January, 2012 at 9:00 am

FREEBIE: Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief Toothpaste SampleIf you've got sensitive teeth then you might want to see if you can nab one of these free Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief toothpaste samples.

Toothpaste is one of those things you have to buy and you can still get reasonably cheap toothpaste (I've yet to see any of the supermarkets do a value version though!) however, if you want to go for one of the branded toothpastes, whichclaim to help you out of sensitivity hell, then it can be expensive to try them only discover you don't like the taste or they don't work quite as well as you hoped.

I don't have sensitive teeth but I got swayed by a Sensodyne Pro-Enamel advert one day (because of the enamel promises), it wasn't cheap and after a few days my teeth had become sensitive!  Needless to say I didn't carry on using it and had wasted a few pounds in the process.

If you'd like to try Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief toothpaste for free then click the link above and just wait for it to arrive in the post.

Milk&more Voucher: Two Weeks Free Milk

by Tamsin Oxford in Freebies on 4 January, 2012 at 3:00 pm

Milk&more Voucher: Two Weeks Free Milk

This is a stonkingly good milk&more voucher that gets you two weeks of free milk to the value of £10! What more could we possibly want from a freebie, I ask you this? I mean, milk not only tastes scrummy but it is excellent for growing bones and teeth – just what your little ones need this cold winter.

So, how do you get to claim your free milk? You need to visit the website (just click the link above) and enter in your postcode and meet your milkman. Then you need to register your details and your regular payment method.

FREEBIE: Four Free MP3s @ Lush.co.uk

by Sarah Macdonald in Freebies on 29 December, 2011 at 11:00 am

FREEBIE: Four Free MP3s @ Lush.co.ukIf you're a true music fan who has broad taste and loves to try out and discover new music then you might want to download these four free MP3s from Lush.co.uk.

I'm one of those music fans I was referring to and I'm always up for listening to something new, especially if I can do it for free.

Lush.co.uk is a spa and these four tracks are taken from one of their spa CDs which they play during client consultations and treatments - I'm listening to 'The Spell' as I type this particular sentence and I rather like it, thinking how I can best describe it to you is proving to be a little tricky.

It has a twinkly sound to it that's a little bit reminiscent of the first few opening bars of Hedwig's Theme from the Harry Potter movies, it also evokes images of a tranquil Japanese garden too.  I played it to my teenager daughter, she liked it very much and she normally has a heavy rock bias to her musical taste.

The other three tracks are just as interesting and ideal for playing in the background, letting the music waft over you to bring a little peace and calm to your mind, and all for free; awesome.

You don't have to do anything other than click download - you don't have to answer any questions, fill in any forms or hand over any of your details, simply download, play and enjoy.

FREEBIE: Free Gruffalo Colouring Book Plus £5 Off In-store at Mothercare Or ELC With The Radio Times

by Sarah Macdonald in Freebies on 13 December, 2011 at 11:00 am

FREEBIE: Free Gruffalo Colouring Book Plus £5 Off In-store at Mothercare Or ELC With The Radio TimesReading the Christmas Radio Times, with a glass of red wine whilst Michael Buble warbles Christmas 'toons' in the background, is like Christmas law in my family; it's necessary, it has to be done and Christmas REALLY starts from that point onwards - this is how I spent yesterday evening; marvellous.

If YOU buy a copy of the Christmas Radio Times too, then you'll be able to pick up a free Gruffalo Colouring Book just like I did yesterday afternoon.

  • You're going to have to go out into the big wide world for this one

So, all you need to do is grab a copy of the Crimbo Radio Times - it costs £2.50 and covers all the TV, Satellite and Radio listings between 17 and 30 December - pull out page 58 and take it along to your nearest Mothercare of Early Learning Centre before Christmas Eve.

They'll give you a free Gruffalo Colouring Book and you'll get £5 off when you spend £25 in-store too - I won't be doing that, but I will be grabbing a free Gruffalo Colouring Book for my youngest.

If you can't get to a Mothercare or ELC you can cut out the coupon, on page 58, and send it off in the post (with a cheque for £1.99 to cover p&p) to claim your free Gruffalo Colouring Book.

Does this really count as a freebie, as you have to buy a copy of the RT?  I don't know, but the Gruffalo Colouring Book is worth £3.99, so at the very least you have a pretty good discount on it.

Happy Gruffalo Colouring!

FREEBIE: Free Personalised Video Message from Santa @ PortableNorthPole.TV

by Sarah Macdonald in Freebies on 22 November, 2011 at 12:00 pm

FREEBIE: Free Personalised Video Message from Santa @ PortableNorthPole.TVIt's BACK! The Portable North Pole is back with their free personalised video messages from Santa and I'm ridiculously EXCITED!

With Christmas a mere 32 days away now is the time to get started on creating a video message, from Santa, for your child and THIS YEAR they have an adult option too; hurrah!

I wrote about this last year and the response was amazing; the video messages from Santa at the Portable North Pole are incredible and will absolutely enchant your child - I guarantee it!

I just showed my eldest son the promo' Portable North Pole video and it brought tears to his eyes, it's THAT magical (he's going to kill me for telling you that!).

THIS year there's an option for grown-ups too and I'm going to be getting started on a personalised video message from Santa for my husband as soon as I've finished telling you how to make one of your own.

First of all - DO NOT SEND US YOUR MESSAGES FOR SANTA! Lots of people did this last year and might have wondered where their message from Santa was; you need to go over to the Portable North Pole to do it.

Secondly, get some photos ready - video messages from Santa can include photos of your child (or wife/husband/whoever - the list of relationships is LONG, including male/female admirer!), and snaps of things you/they got up to this year.

Right, now you're ready!

Go over to the Portable North Pole and fill in all the information you're asked for, upload your pictures then just sit back and enjoy; I've been stalkiing the PNP for wEEKS now, waiting to be able to bring this to you again for 2011.

There's nothing to pay, no catches, no waiting - just unadulterated Christmas magic and sparkle. Seriously, just go and do it - you'll be very glad you did.

Happy messages from Santa!

Free Personalised A4 Wall Calendar @ Photobox

by Tamsin Oxford in Freebies on 14 November, 2011 at 3:00 pm

Free Personalised A4 Wall Calendar @ Photobox

This is a really good deal from Photobox right now, you can get yourself a free personalised A4 wall calendar for 2012 and the only thing you pay is the £3.99 postage charges. Some may argue that the calendar costs you £3.99, but that is still a rocking price for this ace deal.

To get your free calendar you need to register first, then you can personalise it with your photos and send it off to your address for free calendar fun. The calendars are actually very good value for money when you buy them, so this is ace. I am so getting these made for the grandparents from their granddaughter.

You can choose from a wide range of styles for your photo calendar and it is rather easy to create. The only tough time you’ll have is deciding which photographs you want to use. The deal expires tomorrow at midnight so best you get started!

Free Personalisation @ Disney Store

by Tamsin Oxford in Freebies on 28 October, 2011 at 6:00 pm

Free Personalisation @ Disney Store

So the Disney Store is offering free personalisation on all their personalisation range from now until 02 November (at midnight). The range of items you can personalise is pretty impressive, it even includes sale items, but the cost of delivery is mean and nasty.

The free personalisation can cover anything from their Christmas range of gifts and decorations to pyjamas and clothes and gowns and toys. I even found comforters and blankets which fell into the free personalisation category.

Some of the items included in the freebie are just too stunning for words and I look at them with longing. The thing is, for a company that makes so much money and that is so entrenched in society, you’d think they could offer decent delivery rates as £4.95 for delivery is really pricy and I am not sure if they do the personalisation instore or not.

Some of the really cute items that, to me, are worth personalising are the Winnie the Pooh Christmas comforter, the range of bedding and gowns, and cute slippers.
