Kids Freebie: Free Crab Stickers @ PETA Kids

Kids Freebie: Free Crab Stickers @ PETA Kids

This is such a cute freebie, and so utterly random too. Here you get free hermit crab stickers from PETA Kids, which are adorable, and have a rather stern message printed on them. If your kids fancy making a difference and love stickers, then this is the freebie for you.

Have you ever seen shops selling hermit crabs? According to PETA Kids you probably have and that in the wild, hermit crabs can live to be 30 years old. That’s an impressive age for a crustacean I believe. These chaps live on Southern beaches in big groups with up to 100 other hermit crabs.

These chaps are not meant to be alone in a tiny tank. It’s horrible for them, they want to be with their families out in the wild. With these stickers your kids can stand up for what’s right and let everyone know that animals are not souveniers.

Mums Freebie: Free Bottle of Nails Inc Nail Polish @ InStyle Magazine

Mums Freebie: Free Bottle of Nails Inc Nail Polish @ InStyle Magazine

Nails Inc nailpolish has to be my absolute favourite. You get amazing styles and great quality nail polish that lasts for ages. The only problem with it, of course, is the price. Buying this nail polish is all about giving yourself a treat.

So, how about buying a copy of InStyle magazine today and then getting yourself a bottle of Nails Inc nail polish for free? Yes, you do have to pay for the magazine, but that is hardly as much as the nail polish and you can choose between three colours.

Indeed, there are Peach, Totes Pink and It’s Red, Babez as the three colours you can choose fromj and each has been created exclusively for the magazine. The magazine only costs £3.90 and the nail polish is worth £11. Now that IS a bargain freebie.

Life Saving Freebie: Save A Baby’s Life Workshops

Life Saving Freebie: Save A Baby’s Life Workshops

Shocking statistics reveal that across the UK, four out of five people wouldn’t know what to do if their baby stopped breathing. The Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS UK), the official charity drowning prevention, are launching workshops nationwide to equip all parents or child carers with the skills that could help them save the life of their child should they encounter a choking or drowning situation.

The Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS UK), the UK’s national drowning prevention and water safety charity, is launching Save A Baby’s Life  - a new campaign to reduce these horrible statistics and give parents and others who care for children the confidence to put emergency lifesaving skills into practice if, in the unlikely event, a baby's life is threatened.

Local leisure centres and community groups across the country will be hosting Save a Baby’s Life workshops where trained instructors will cover basic life saving techniques and provide advice on what to do when a baby stops breathing, or how best to deal with a choking or drowning situation. Using a life-like baby manikin, people will learn how to perform basic CPR and first aid as they would in a real life situation.

Don’t miss this opportunity, it’s free and you never know when you might need to know how to save a baby’s life.

Family Freebie: Free Diabetes testing @ Asda

by Tamsin Oxford in Freebies on 13 January, 2013 at 3:00 pm

Family Freebie: Free Diabetes testing @ Asda

Diabetes cases are on the rise, but over half the nation still isn’t concerned.  Asda is offering free Diabetes testing nationwide. The test is completely free and available in all 248 Asda Pharmacies nationwide all year around. With no need to make an appointment customers can simply stop by while they do their weekly shop.

Despite recent reports that 700,000 people in the UK are estimated to have diabetes by the end of the decade research by Asda today reveals over half the nation (55%) still aren’t concerned about developing the disease. To help tackle the problem Asda Pharmacy is offering a free test to all shoppers and its 180, 000 colleagues nationwide.

With the NHS stating that there are around 850,000 people with undiagnosed diabetes in the UK it’s worrying to discover more than 1 in 3 Brits (35%) are unaware you can get tested. Despite being at a higher risk if a family member has the disease, 34% of people in this category still haven’t been tested.

The blood glucose test, carried out by trained pharmacy colleagues, measures the amount of glucose in your blood at the time of the test. While this test does not diagnose diabetes, a positive screening result highlights the possibility the patient may be at risk and offers the opportunity for them to seek the correct medical advice
