There's nothing that perks me up on a long shopping trip more than a Starbucks*. I can't always drink caffeine, which is a bummer so my drink of choice tends to be a Vente Decaf Cappuccino with coconut milk. Yeah, quite the mouthful.
Did you know that there are lots of 'off the menu' drinks you can order in Starbucks? I bet you never! Well let me introduce you to the secret menu of Starbucks...
Like Nutella? Order a caffè misto, that's a filter coffee with steamed milk, to you and I. Ask for a pump of chocolate and hazelnut syrup in it with a caramel drizzle. Nutella heaven in a cup!
Like Oreo? Ask for a Chocolate Cream Frappuccino Blended Crème but say you want white mocha syrup instead of regular and voila, you have drinkable Oreo.
Like White Chocolate as much as Dark Chocolate? When requesting a Mocha ask that they put both White Mocha in as well as regular. Your barista may already know this as a 'Zebra Mocha'.
Like Neopolitan Ice-Cream? This is a favourite of mine and it really does taste like all three flavours of Ice-Cream. Simply order a Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino with a pump of mocha syrup in.
Like Twix? Order a Caramel Cream Frappuccino Blended Crème and grab a Biscotti with it too. Ask the kind Barista to blend in your Biscotti into the drink and there you will have a cold drink that tastes just like Twix.
Like Crème brûlée? This is easy... a Espresso Con Panna with a tiny bit of caramel syrup in. It's divine and will set you up for the day. It's STRONG!
Like Turkish Delight? If you are VERY lucky, your local Starbucks may have some Rose syrup in. Just ask for this in a Mocha. Also works in the Chocolate Chip Frappuccino for a cold version. Oh it's heaven!
Most Starbucks drinks can be customised with syrups, and the likes so don't worry about asking for something a little more fancy. Plus, I have never been in a Starbucks where the staff weren't more than happy to make my coffee exactly how I wanted. You can view the regular Starbucks Menu here*.
