Philips Avent New Born Starter Set £7.20 @ Asda Direct

10 May 2013

Asda has a deal on that's perfect for those stocking up for a new arrival. It has reduced the price of the Philips Avent New Born Starter Set from £12 to £7.20. That's a saving of £4.80. Standard delivery is £2.95 but it is free if you can collect instore.

The Philips Avent New Born Starter Set includes two 125 ml (that's 4 oz) bottles and two 260 ml (that's 9 oz) bottles. The feeding bottles are BPA-free (0% Bisphenol A), and include a two piece anti-colic system. The anti-colic system claims to allow air into the bottle instead of the baby's tummy. Bottles are made from PP, which is a BPA free material. The site also claims that the bottles are clinically proven to significantly reduce fussing.

The bottles have a natural shape that aims to help settle your baby, particularly at night. According to the website, this makes them perfect for combination feeding. I assume that by combination feeding they mean formula and breastfeeding.

The Philips Avent Advantage:Completely interchangeable across the Philips Avent range. There's a lot of customer reviews on the site praising the anti-colic features of the bottles as well as their durability, and ease of use. As one dad put it, these are easy to assemble at 3am!
