Nintendo 3DS And Extras £219.99 @ Argos

13 February 2011

Nintendo 3DS

While this is not technically a deal on the Nintendo 3DS, the added extras seem to make this offer available for preorder from Argos for £219.99 quite reasonable.

Unfortunately, once ordered, you'll still have a bit of a wait, and at the moment no exact delivery date as the Nintendo 3DS is not being released until March this year. This console is intended to “revolutionise” handheld gaming by being the first ever console to have 3D graphics without the need to wear special glasses.

Apparently it will remain familiar and still use Nintendo's classic hand held layout, so it should be easy for owners of the current Nintendo DS consoles to pick up and go, so to speak, with just the addition of 3D. Oh, and your Nintendo DS game cards will also be compatible, so no need to start a whole new collection.

But it's really the 'deal' part of this you care about, not so? So here it is.

While the Nintendo 3DS incluces WIFI capability, a microphone and an inbuilt camera, and a 2GB nintendo 3DS Game card, pre-ordering means you'll also receive:

  • £60 worth of savings vouchers to spend on video games software and accessories
  • A free Nintendo 3DS compatiible accessory kit worth £20
  • Free delivery
  • and an additional little 'deal' – you can add a selected Nintendo 3DS game to your pre-order for only £30.

There are a few terms and conditions, so check them out, but all in all, your 3DS will cost you £219.99, and you'll get extra goodies to the value of around £85, (except if you use the game deal, then it'll be a little more on both savings and cost) and you should have it at your front door on Nintendo 3DS launch day.
