PlayPennies Loves...Thinly Spread

This week PlayPennies loves... Thinly Spread.

That's me - thinly spread (there are rarely enough hours in the day) and also how I like butter on crumpets (just as an aside).

I love Christmas.  I love everything about it and can't WAIT to put up all the Christmas things and transform the house into one of those amazing Christmas homes you see in the movies.

So imagine my delight when I came across the Festive Fridayposts over at Thinly Spread; all things Christmassy and festive to really get me in the mood!

I was also thrilled to see the post featuring the DANGERS OF MENINGITIS - in fact, it's what made me decide to feature Thinly Spread.  I you only have time to read one post, even if you think you know all there is to know about meningitis, how to spot it and what to do I DON'T CARE, GO and read this post anyway - you might learn something new and it might end up saving someone's life.

Lecture over; let's move on!

Silent Sunday posts feature on lots of blogs - they're great.  Great for the author because you don't have to come up with anything to say and great for people like me who like looking at pictures.

I really like THIS ONE - it brings us back to the Christmas thing you see, these little narcissus flowers smell a-m-a-z-i-n-g and always remind me of Christmas time - my ex-mother-in-law always used to have them and it was a sure sign that Christmas loveliness was on the way.

Thinly Spread belongs to Christine and if you want to read more about this 'thinly spread' mother of four then HERE'Sher bio' page.  Christine cooks too - okay that sounds wrong - I didn't mean it like, "wow, she cooks too - oooh a mum who cooks! 'Mazin!" Oh you know how I meant it! - and there are vegetarian recipes on Thinly Sliced for you to try.

I'm definitely going to be having a look at these - I have a fitness client who's veggie and is looking for some recipe inspiration, AND my daughter volunteers at the local animal shelter where lunch has to be veggie because all the staff are; no eating the 'rellies' of the animals you're looking after (they have farm animals there, just in case you instantly thought of dogs and cats!).

I've loved mooching through Thinly Spread and recommend you do it with a thick slice of cake!
