When I was little Roald Dahl books where the books to read. As much as I loved the stories, the illustrations by Quentin Blake just enhanced the whole reading experience. These days it's David Walliams books that are 'in' and Quentin has also done the illustrations for those. Amazon have The World of David Walliams: Mega Box Set for just £18. That's a brilliant price considering it's £33.55 at The Book People.
The World of David Walliams: Mega Box Set includes six books: Ratburger, Demon Dentist, Gangsta Granny (a firm favourite in my household), Mr Stink, Billionaire Boy and Boy in the Dress.
These books are hilarious and are of the same sort of style as Roald Dahl. Witty and charismatic whilst staying suitable for children. As they aren't too sugary sweet and are a little cheeky in parts, kids just love them and I can see why.
