I love Christmas stories. I love Christmas in general but having special festive stories that you read, and movies that you watch, each and every year just makes things that little bit extra special.
At east that's what I think and have done with my children over the last 18 years: Christmas music in the car (Frank Sinatra and pals) from 1 December, Christmas stories at bedtime and Miracle on 34th Street on the TV, not forgetting The Snowman, about a week before the 25th.
The Jolly Christmas Postman is a great book to add to, or start off, your Christmas story tradition. There are Christmas envelopes to open, presents to discover - the rhyming verses and illustrations are just typical Janet and Allan Ahlberg (they've been around forever haven't they!) and totally wonderful.
