My son was probably just walking shortly before his 14 month old mark. He was past a year old, but I wasn't too worried as I know that boys tend to be a bit later than girls. And it does vary. My neice didn't walk until she was 17 months. If you get to 15 months and he still isn't then do seek advice if you haven't already.
