I'm still stunned at the trauma some people go through when trying to build their family - in recent years we only have to look at Lily Cooper and Amanda Holden to feel truly blessed when any of our parenthood journeys are uneventful.

Hollie Rose

Amanda gave birth to Hollie Rose two weeks ago and almost lost her life in the process, but now she's almost well enough to be thinking about going back to work as a judge on Britain's Got Talent.

A friend has told the press that Amanda won't do anything silly and won't go back to work unless her medical team say it's okay for her to do; she's also said that working on Britain's Got Talent is hardly 'greulling manual labour' so all should be fine.

I like Amanda Holden lots and I want to know how it is she looks the same now as she did at least 15 years ago!

David Beckham gets another red card

David Beckham is still pimping his men's knickers range around the country and apparently said he didn't know where to look when he first saw the advert, starring himself wearing them.

"When we were watching the Super Bowl yesterday [Sunday] in a room of about 20 people and it came on and I actually didn't know where to look - it was kind of embarrassing. The kids loved it but they were also embarrassed as well because there was other people in the room."

DB was also on the Jonathan Ross show the other night and also told about how he was 'sent off' the touchline for disagreeing with the referee at a kiddies football match.

"I was watching the kids play the other day, it was the game just before they were playing.  It was the younger kids of Romeo’s club, and they’re playing in the game and there was a penalty given. And the kids are seven-years-old and he sent the kid off.

And I was like, "Come on, he’s seven-years-old, referee, you can’t send him off." And he looked at me and was like, "Yes, I can."  And I was like, "Ok, well, you can’t, he’s seven-years-old."

And he came over and gave me a red card. He told me to get out of the park.  For real. The gate was only 20 yards away and I waited and went back in when my son’s game was on."

You can just imagine that ref' going home to his family and saying, "You'll never GUESS who I gave a red card to today! DAVID BECKHAM!" - it'll be one of those 'no-one-messes-with-me-when-I've-got-my-referee-uniform-on' stories that will be dined out on for years; trust me, I know a couple of football refs and they take themselves very seriously.

I'm tired of all the bitching, complaining, backstabbing and general 'bleurgh' that's going on - Peter and Katie are at it again (arguing and being 'mean' to each other in public, rather than 'at it'), Halle Berry and her ex, Gabriel Aubry, have been digging at each other and throwing legal action around for at least the last 18 months; so much so, in fact, that a judge has ordered them to take parenting classes for the sake of their daughter Nahla!

So today's Celebaby is nice and light and fluffy - because that's how I like things.

Everywhere I look at the moment, it seems, I'm coming face-to-face with image of both David and Victoria Beckham in their underwear! Now, I'm not complaining about seeing David in his pants per say, but there is a limit - please, Beckhams, put some clothes on!

You have to say the above in that dramatic voice used to announce 'P-I-G-S...I-N...S-P-A-C-E' during the Muppet Show - if you're under a 'certain age' then you'll have no clue what I'm talking about, if you grew up when I did then you will!

So VB was all over the press last week, parading around in one of her underwear creations which, quite frankly, just looked like she was wearing a big white nappy.

Nancy Cameron

I'm not a huge fan of David Cameron; I am a fan of business though and subscribe wholly to the view that instead of waiting for a job to fall your lap, you should have a bash at unleashing your inner entrepreneur and forge your own path.

So I had to smile when I read that David Cameron's eight-year-old daughter, Nancy, asked if she could make mince pies on New Year's Day.  She was told she could, did and duly sold them to her dad's protection officers for £1 each - move over Mr Kipling, Miss Cameron is coming through!

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston has possibly been the subject of a similar number of preggy rumours as Beyonce.  Well the 'Jen's pregnant' rumours are circulating again for three reasons

1. she's just bought a new house that has a nursery in it (shocking)
2. because she's still going out with Justin Theroux (shocking!) and
3.  because she's pulled out of work and isn't going to commit to making any movies for who knows how long, because she needs a break (outrageous!)

Maybe I missed the lesson where 'I need/want' a break' actually translates as 'I'm pregnant but not going to tell anyone' - must make mental note to self: don't tell anyone you want a break, they'll think you're expecting.  Perhaps tell them you're expecting - they'll never believe you, think you're losing it and will suggest that you take a break!

Yesterday it was reported that Amanda Holden had been in hospital under observation since Monday.  She checked herself in and as a result had to miss filming in Blackpool for the new series of Britain's Got Talent (mind you with some of the acts that audition, you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise!).

Friends, speaking about her hospitalisation said, "She went in under her own steam. She was kept in hospital under observation on Monday night and is staying at least another night."  

It all sounded purely precautionary until very early this morning, when it was revealed that Amanda had given birth, come perilously close to death due to massive blood loss and was in intensive care!

Celebrity nappies - I suppose it had to happen sooner or later; a range of baby products 'produced' by a celeb'.

Jessica Alba - The Honest Co

So, The Honest Co is the name Jessica Alba (Hollywood 'star')  has chosen for her new range of eco-friendly baby and household 'things', such as cleaning products, baby skin care and nappies.

If you're wondering whether it all comes with a wallet-friendly price tag (I know you are!) then it would appear so, or at least that's what Jessica will have us believe.

This is what she had to say on the subject when she spoke to the New York Daily News.

"I’m like, just because it’s eco why does it have to be brown, beige, or have a green leaf on it?" So everything is brightly coloured, including the nappies.  On the subject of cost...

"'I would talk to my brother - he has two kids - and I talk to my sister-in-law and my cousins, they’re like, "Well, we can’t afford that." Then I was like, "How in the world is a safer and healthier product only available to those in a higher tax bracket?" That was my big a-ha moment!"

Well isn't that, like, awesome (said in my best whiny American accent) - as yet there's no news on whether The Honest Co will be making a journey across the Pond to a supermarket near you.

There have been a few baby bumps out and about this week - the only one I paid more than a fleeting interest in is Jennifer Garner's bump, I think she's lovely (Jennifer, not the bump - I haven't taken to referring to her bump as 'she', the moment I do that is the time I quit!) and will tell about her on Tuesday.

Chris and Natasha Evans

Chris Evans and his second wife are expecting their second baby together and her bump was 'unveiled' at a movie premiere, "just days after," the press reported, "that Billie Piper showed off her massive baby bump."

The press make me laugh!  What on earth has that got to do with anything - NOTHING!  What do they want Chris and Natasha to do, stay in?  "Ooooh we'd better not go out for at least a couple of weeks luv, Billie went out with her bump."

Can you imagine, with a couple of days to go before those two weeks was up, Billie went out again, how very inconsiderate,  "DAMMIT!  We're going to have to stay in again, sorry darling - we'll have to order in pizza again for dinner."

Alex Reid and Chantelle Houghton

WOW I feel 'unclean' just writing their names - I don't do well with these two I'm afraid, I'm going to have scrub my hands with bleach after this, but baby news is Celebaby news.

They are the latest two celebrities (and I use that word in the loosest of senses) to be spotted shopping in a Mamas & Papas store (it was Ben Foden and his preggars fiancee Una Healey last week).

There's not really much to tell - they looked at prams, they looked at other baby things and Chantelle was wearing the most hideous snakeskin patterned boots - seriously, they are properly UGLY.

I have to say that both Chantelle and Alex look incredibly happy together, I can't help but be scared for their child though - 1) he or she will have those two for parents and b) there are rumours that they're going to be followed around by cameras for two series of their own reality show which will include the baby's arrival.

I can't stand these reality shows, they're just hateful, hateful, HATEFUL and on that note I'm off to get the bleach!

There are a fair few celebrity daughters breaking into the modelling world - Annie Lennox's daughter is the new face of Karen Millen, Cindy Crawford's daughter is being used by Versace and Liam Gallagher and Meg Matthews' daughter has been shot by Mario Testino (I'd give almost anything to be photographed by him) and signed by Select model agency.

There's plenty of 'bla bla bla - its all so wonderful - yadda yadda yadda - it's all so magical' I could tell you about Beyonce, who's given her first interview since Blue Ivy was born, but I'm THAT bored of her I'd rather poke forks in my eyes - so instead I'm going to tell you about two old rockers - Paul Weller and Bob Geldof.

Paul Weller

If you don't know who Paul Weller is then you're younger than me; if you are younger than me and you DO know who Paul Weller is then I salute you and you probably have your parents to thank for your fabulous musical taste.

Paul Weller, in case you didn't know, was the lead singer of a band called The Jam (they did Town Called Malice which was used in the Billy Elliot movie and is a fantastic piece of music) and went on to have a very successful solo career (if you're in the mood for new music , go and buy 'Wild Wood' by Paul Weller - it's superb!).

There's nothing fun going on in the world of Celebs and their babies just now - it's all boring, boring, boring!

I'm already bored of Beyonce, Blue and Jay Z - the lastest, just in case you're not bored, is that they (Beyonce and Jay Z) have donated more than $100k to the Lennox Hill hospital where Blue was born.

This was, apparently, given months before she was born and the hospital are denying claims that the rather posh and swanky delivery suite, complete with kitchen and other things bla bla bla, was built especially for them.  According to a spokesperson, "they just happened to be the first to use it." Fancy that!

By all accounts there was a complete lock-down at the hospital when Beyonce et al were there, upsetting many of the other new parents there who felt that their special moment had been ruined as family couldn't get in to visit.

You know, if celebs want complete privacy and for the whole world to be shut out when they have their babies, perhaps they should consider having them at home!

What else has been going on?  Not much!

Victoria and Harper Beckham have 'done lunch' together in London - whoppipe-do! HA! I don't think I've ever said, or written 'whoppie-do' in my LIFE! This is a very strong indication of the mood I'm in today - honestly, do we CARE that the Beckham girls are in London and that Victoria is still carting that poor little girl around like a living accessory?!

Christina Aguilera has been out messing around at a theme park with to celebrate her son's fourth birthday and Orlando and Flynn Bloom (still with the MOST adorable child on the planet (bar my own youngest son, of course - and I'm singling him out as a favourite over the other two either, it's just that 17 and 16-year-old teenagers can't really be described as 'adoreable') have been out hiking, with Miranda and their dog.

See, it's all going on in Celebaby land *yawn*  Maybe something exciting will happen over the weekend for me to tell you about next week - something other than such-and-such-a-pregnant-celeb' has been seen out wearing sky high heels, or so and so went to the park with their child.

WHOOPIE-DO!

Today's Celebaby is a mish-mash of a few bits and pieces featuring, briefly, Beyonce's baby get-away, Billie Piper's baby gender announcement and Ben Foden goes baby shopping.

Beyonce

If you were wondering what the press were going to do with themselves now that Beyonce and Jay Z's baby has arrived, now we know - they're going to be rushing around trying to be the first ones to get a picture of Blue Ivy Carter, that's what they're going to be doing.

They didn't manage to catch her departure from hospital though - their plans were scuppered by a 'secret' dash for it at 1.30am in the morning in a Mercedes van (well, come on, it looks like a van to me!) that Beyonce has had customised to the tune of $1 million.

It's also been reported that the hospital undertook some serious renovations/remodelling at the request, and expense, of both Beyonce and Jay Z - apparently, according to one of those useful sources, eight rooms were knocked through and turned into a suite just for them including a bullet proof door (not too paranoid and over the top then!).

The other bits...

Billie Piper and her husband, Laurence Fox, have announced they're expecting another boy - they already have a three-year-old son (Winston) and are said to be over the moon that there's a little brother for him on the way.

In one of the funniest newspaper reports I've read in a while - when I say funny, I mean funny in an 'oh please' kind of way - Una Healy and Ben Foden were 'spotted' out shopping for baby things, I say 'spotted' because Una had tweeted earlier in the day that that's what they were going to do.

Mamas and Papas was dubbed as the 'celebrity baby shop of choice' and Ben 'gallantly' carried the bags...erm, there were only two and they really didn't look that heavy!  THEN, staff were photographed carrying a cot to Ben's car - the cot looked huge and the car's boot was barely big enough to take those two bags that Ben gallantly carried.

Anyone would think they were the first people to go shopping at M&P where the man carrried the bags.

Blue Ivy Carter

Hurrah - Beyonce has had her baby, this time it's official!

The newest celebrity baby arrived on Saturday evening via scheduled c-section and has been named Blue Ivy Carter - I'm not sure what her surname is, that seems to have been left out of every report I've read so far (I'm getting a bit bored of reading the same thing over and over now, so if you don't mind I'll just carry on.

All the usual celeb' Twitter congrats have been sent; a Twitter parody account appeared online within hours but under the wrong name - Ivy Blue Carter - as her name was originally reported the wrong way round.

Apparently Ivy comes from a bit of a thing about the number four - Beyonce was born on 4 September, Jay Z was born on the 4 December, they were married on 4 April and so it goes on and on - the Ivy bit comes from, so the press are speculating, the Roman numeral for the number four, IV.

I can't say I'm fussed where her name comes from, I'm just glad she's arrived and that we can stop all the 'has she - hasn't she had the baby?' rumours!

Grandad Geldof

Peaches Geldof (22) has revealed that she's expecting her first child with her fiance, Thomas Cohen, and apparently Bob Geldof isn't too happy about his new role as grandad.

Mind you, that's only because he hasn't said anything about it yet; when congratulated by fans recently he said that he didn't want to talk about it, as is his right.

Allegedly, he and Peaches have a bit of a fraught relationship but maybe he just didn't want to discuss his private family life with people he'd never met before and was never going to meet again; would you?

The official word from the Peaches Geldof camp suggests that all is rosy in the family camp...

"Peaches Geldof and her fiance Thomas Cohen are delighted to announce that Peaches is pregnant with their first child.  Peaches is utterly thrilled and they have the full support of both of their families who are equally excited for the baby's arrival."

Fraught relationship or happy families - congrats!

Today's Celebaby is about 'cats and kidneys' - Lily Copper's mum has let the proverbial cat out of the bag and Nick Cannon (Mr Mariah Carey) has kidney failure.

Ethel May Cooper

It's funny how you don't realise things until you're told them - had you noticed that still some five, or so, weeks after Lily Copper's daughter arrived safely in the world we still didn't know what she'd been called?

I mean, it's one of the first things you ask (or want to know) along with how much the new arrival weighed - at least they are the things I want to know.

Well, after keeping the little girly's name under wraps for so long (whether intentionally or not, who's to say) Lily's mum accidentally revealed her granddaughter's name on Facebook (whether intentionally accidentally or not, who's to say!) when writing to a friend.

So Ethel May Cooper is her name - some people like it, some people loathe it and predict a trip to the deed poll office the moment she hits 16 and can legally change her name sans parental permission.

What do you think - good name, bad name or just downright ugly?

Nick Cannon

I'm mildly amused by the fuss that's erupted over, what's been described as, the  'mild kidney failure' that struck Nick Cannon down over Christmas, although I'm not sure I should be.

I think it's because kidney failure is serious and for some reason, in my (perhaps) warped mind, both Mariah and Nick tweeting photographs of him in the hospital looking pretty okay have made it seem not so serious. I also can't help thinking maybe he just had kidney stones...?

Joking aside, any unexpected hospitalisation of a loved one isn't funny, especially when their stay is on an intensive care ward there are new babies at home - all of a sudden our mortality is thrust into the spotlight and all the worst case scenario 'what ifs' will rush through everyone's minds.

Well, the good news is Nick seems to be okay; he's out of intensive care, he's been transferred to a hospital in Los Angeles - he was originally admitted to hospital in Aspen whilst on holiday - has had an operation, which he was awake for (I know this because Nick told 'us' so on Twitter) and a couple of hours ago he said he's recovering and about to be stronger than ever.

PHEW!  I can sleep soundly in my bed again at night now knowing all that!

So, a quick bit of history just in case you don't know the main players in the public soap opera that is Christine Bleakley, Frank Lampard and Ellen Rivas' lives.

Frank Lampard is a footballer and plays for Chelsea, he used to be engaged to Ellen Rivas and they have two girls together.  Three years ago, Ellen called off their engagement and appears to have regretted it ever since and Frank is now engaged to Christine Bleakley of TV presenting fame.

There's absolutely no love lost between Ellen and Christine and that all seemed to come to a head over Christmas time - Ellen has run away to India to 'find herself' on a spiritual journey and so the girls are currently with Frank and Christine.

Everything kicked off on Christmas Day when it was reported that Ellen had tried to call the girls but Frank wouldn't let her talk to them; the other side of the report was she'd called at 3am in the morning UK time, having forgotten the time difference, and Frank (rightly so, I think) wasn't about to wake Luna and Isla up at crazy o'clock.

Ellen took to Twitter and went all out for Christine saying, "You would have thought the girlfriend would have a little maternal understanding..." and it all kicked off from there! Mainly with Christine's friends jumping to her defence, whilst Christine simply said, "I'd happily put the record straight but really don't think twitter is a place to do it when children are involved x."   That said, she fanned the flames just a little bit by retweeting the things her friends were saying...

The waters seemed to calm down a bit after that but the latest pictures in the papers, of Christine holding hands with Luna and reports that the girls have started calling her 'mummy' is bound to set to Ellen Rivas' blood boiling.

I've been in the middle of a huge parental battle and it's no fun, the only people who win are the lawyers.  Ellen needs to grow up, the press need to back off and everyone must remember that the girls' happiness and security is the only thing which is important - not who gets portrayed as the good guys by the media.

NO Beyonce Baby

After a crazy rash of rumours over 30 December and New Year's Eve that Beyonce had given birth to her daughter, and named her Tiana May Carter, the whisperings (well more like 'yellings' actually) have been quashed.

Not by official statement though, but by going out for dinner in Brooklyn - it must get tiresome reading rumours about yourself all the time so I wonder if celebs, who rarely comment on their private lives, get some kind of amusement from being able to 'taunt' the press just by going out.

You can just imagine Jay Z and Beyonce chuckling away that simply going out for dinner on New Year's Eve would spark another media story in, what's become, the Great Beyonce Pregnancy farce - a comedy tale of rumours, conspiracy and the absolute outrageous.

So, still no Beyonce baby; any bets as to when the next B baby story hits the headlines?  Tomorrow?  You're probably right.

Holly Branson

Holly Branson got married on her Dad's private Island - Necker Island - over Christmas, despite fire tearing through the entire place earlier in the year.

Richard Branson got married there too, when Holly was eight years old, and whilst I don't know much about Holly I do love the story of how her dad came to acquire the island for a rock bottom price  - if I'd written it as a deal it would've been the deal of the century!

So, Richard Branson and his then fiancee were bored and decided to look around a few islands that were for sale.  They didn't have any money (well, not as much money as they have now) and blagged their way through the viewings until they were busted and that was the end of that.  Years later, and lots of money in the bank later too, Richard Branson was contacted asking if he was still interested in Necker Island - the then owner had run into hard times and was prepared to sell for a bargain price of (and I'm quoting from memory here, it's a long time ago since I read the book) less than £250,000.

It went something like that anyway - hurrah for bargain hunting, I wonder when I'll come across MY Necker Island deal...?

Holly will soon be joining the Celebaby Bump Watch list, if her dad gets his wish at least.  Apparently Richard Branson has been/still is itching for Holly to have a baby so he can play the doting grandfather.

"He was really keen for me to be pregnant walking down the aisle. He didn't think we should worry about being married first.  My parents weren't married before they had Sam and I, but both had been married before and it didn't work, so I think for us, it's nice to do everything in the right order."

And new husband Freddie agrees, he had this to say to Hello! mag',  "Both of us would love to start a family and we think that marriage is the first step to getting that underway."

Sounds to me like Mr B will get his wish in the not too distant future!

The press and rumour writers have been going crazy since yesterday trying to figure out whether, and be the first to tell that, Beyonce has given birth to her baby daughter.

The rumours have even gone so far as to suggest that the new arrival has been named Tiana May which I think is quite pretty, although having read some internet comments on various sites I seem to be in the minority.

Eagle-eyed journos and 'togs, armed with cameras, noticed that close family members of Beyonce had arrived in New York and that the singer herself hadn't been straying far from the city much.

It's been a strange celeb' pregnancy to follow - first there were years of pregnancy rumours, then the categorical denial from both Beyonce and Jay Z (which was out of character for them both as they hardly ever confirm or deny anything to do with their private lives), followed a month or so later by the announcement at the MTV Music Awards.

Next came the fake preggars belly claims - I rather enjoyed that and has to go down as being my favourite crazy Celebaby story of the year, along with the Justin Bieber paternity claim - and now we have the early birth rumours.

You see, a due date has never actually been mentioned; numbers were crunched, best guestimates were made and February seemed the most likely month for the Beyonce baby arrival.

You can guarantee that an earlier appearance (if that is actually the case) is going to trigger all sorts of outlandish theories: the surrogate went into labour early, the aliens dropping the baby off got their inter-galactic time zones confused and rocked up a few weeks ahead of schedule, that sort of thing.

So whether there is a baby Beyonce on the planet or not, we'll just have to wait and see - as yet, there's been no official news.

So, you're about to have a baby and thinking about who's going to be a good role model for your child along with looking after them as their own if, god forbid, anything terrible should happen to you.

Who would you pick? I bet Katie Price wouldn't be anywhere on your list!

Well she is for best pal Michelle Heaton who's asked Jordan to be exactly that - godmother to her almost-here baby - and whilst I'm sure that behind closed doors Katie is fairly normal(ish if you can stretch your imagination that far) it's her public persona that's going to be hard to explain away along with a 'do as I say and not as I do' speech.

Katie is, of course, delighted by being asked to take on the role of godmother (I wonder if she knows she's going to have to accept the 'light of christ' in a church, if they're going for the full blown proper Christian service, rather than a naming ceremony or something similar) and immediately posted news of it on her Twitter page...

"I'm sooooo happy and over the moon that @wonderwomanshel and @hughhanley have asked me to be a godmother to there baby. Woo forever friends."

It's a good job  they didn't ask Katie to be the baby's spelling teacher too, otherwise the poor little chap or lass would be completely doomed when they arrive in the next four or so weeks.

Can you believe that Elton John and David Furnish's son, Zachary, is a year old already?  Nor me, 2011 really has flown by and we have another bump to add to the list of celebs expecting new arrivals in 2012 - Andrea Corr of The Corrs fame has announced that she's expecting her first baby.

After the initial press reports and the obligatory glossy magazine spread, all news about Elton John, David and Zachary seemed to have been told, apart from the odd snippet in the press about which holiday destination they were at during various months of the year.

We haven't seen much in the way of photographs of Zachary though, until now.  A series of pictures have been released and I have to say, he's a cute little chap!

Andrea Corr

Holly Valance and Andrea Corr have something in common and it's not music, both have billionaire husbands (well, Holly has a billionaire fiancee - he popped the question on Christmas Eve).

Andrea (37) is married to Brett Desmond (34) (I've no idea who he is), is thought to be around five months pregnant and took to Twitter after an Irish newspaper revealed that she was expecting...

"Thank you all so much for such lovely kind messages and well wishes. I'm so happy."

This little baby Corr will have plenty of older cousins to play with as Andrea is the last of the musical Corr siblings to have a baby, although she's not been deliberately holding off, earlier in the year she had this to say to The Telegraph...

"I'm as ready as I’ll ever be. And from what I'm told you're never really ready. You can't say you're not ready for ever, so you might as well go for it. If that happens that would be a priority.

'I'm not not allowing it to happen, if you see what I mean. I'm leaving it to He Who Knows Best, and she, my (late) mother. I believe she’s up there working away. I think she looks after me."

Well, happen it has and many congrats to them both.

Well, either I've not been looking in the right places or Robert De Niro and Dido chose not to shout and scream their pregnancy minutiae from the roof tops!

Robert De Niro

Robert Di Niro (68) and his wife, Grace Hightower De Niro (56) have welcomed a daughter into the world via surrogate.

Mr De Niro now has a grand total of six children ranging from 40 years old to brand new and this latest little addition has been named Helen Grace Hightower and weighed 7lbs 2.

Despite the six children having three different mothers, Robert De Niro is pragmatic and devoted when it comes to all matters fatherhood...

"One of the most important lessons I've learned in my years as a father is to keep the lines of communication open with my kids. I care deeply about all of them, and I have made a conscious effort to talk to and to listen to them.

Sometimes it's hard to talk to kids, especially when they're teenagers. They're in their own world, and they don't look like they're even listening to you but that's the time when it's most important to find a way to talk to them - not to lecture them, but to tell them things I think are important for them to know."

Sound advice and he's right, whenever I open my mouth to impart some parental wisdom to my teenagers they DEFINITELY don't look like they're listening to a word I say.

Dido

Now I didn't even know Dido was preggars! I know she's not one for living her life in the spotlight, but even so, and having done a bit of Googling around the subject it seems she's not kept it secret, it just passed me by - shame on me.

So, apparently, she was supposed to perform at the Oscars earlier in the year and cancelled due to her pregnancy, saying,

"Hello everyone, It’s been a month of amazing news for me and now I have some more to share. Me and my husband Rohan are expecting a baby and we’re beyond happy and excited about it.

So as some of you already know, I won’t be able to travel to LA for the Oscars ceremony to perform If I Rise. Obviously I’m really gutted about not being there – going to the Oscars has literally been a dream of mine since I was about nine."

Well, the baby that kept away her away from the Oscars arrived - a little boy who was named Stanley, I wonder what his full name is as his mother's is rather impressive.  Did you know that Dido's full name is 'Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O’Malley Armstrong' - no wonder we just know her as Dido!

Now use the past tense and say he WAS named Stanley, not because anything terrible has happened, but because he was born in JULY!!!  The news of his arrival has only just come to light so I'm feeling much better about not having told you about this 'secret' celeb' baby sooner.

Peter and Katie

Peter Andre and Katie Price haven't always been as restrained as they are now when it comes to speaking about each other; it wasn't that long ago that any hatchet burying was in each other's backs!

But now it seems they've managed to get past that and have agreed, according to newspaper reports, that they're going to make platonic amends for the sake of the children - well it's about time and is perfectly doable too, even if you have got the dregs of the UK media just willing you to slip up so they can write another tawdry headline.

I hope they manage to pull it off, that both of them find love with someone else and that the kids end up with two sets of loving parents that aren't at war with each other, that way everybody wins.

Beyonce

I keep reading that Beyonce is ready to pop - I was pretty sure she was due around March time, maybe I've got her confused with all the other baby bumps around at the moment - and recent pictures of her definitely show that she's a far way along the preggars path.

I'm also rather glad to see a celeb' mother who piles on the pounds all over, like I did, rather than manage to stay the same other than having a very neat half-beach-ball sized bump sticking out front.

I'm not sure on her choice of maternity outfits though, I don't think animal print leggings look good on anyone, pregnant or not, Beyonce or not!
