Noddy ABC Books With Play Mat And Flash Cards £4.99 @ Reader's Digest

Noddy ABC Books With Play Mat And Flash Cards £4.99 @ Reader's Digest

If you're looking for a fun way to introduce the alphabet, then you could do worse than taking a quick look at these Noddy ABC Books that come with a play mat and flash cards - Reader's Digest are selling the set for £4.99.

"Noddy...(Noddy)...The little boy with the red and yellow car..." well that's that Noddy theme tune in my head for the rest of the day now! None of my children have ever been huge fans of Noddy, I don't know what it was about him that didn't 'do it' for them but whenever he came on TV they'd wander off and go and find something else to do or play with.

However, as they were (and still are) all bookworms I'm sure they would have found him more engaging in these Noddy ABC books - I love that there's a play mat and flash cards to integrate too, it just makes the whole learning experience a little more three dimensional, if you know what I'm getting at.

The books are wipe-clean and the entire set has been designed to keep youngsters interested whilst helping them get to grips with letters, numbers and basic spellings; I think it's fab and if I had a little one about to embark on this very fundamental bit of learning, it would already be in my shopping basket!

Bought this a couple of days ago and it arrived today (two day delivery - which I think is pretty good for free delivery - play and amazon usually take a couple of weeks). It looks great! My 18 month old loves it, although it will also be good for an older child. There are colour flashcards, number flashcards, shape flashcards and alphabet flashcards. It comes with a wipe clean mat with big pictures of things like an apple, some ducks, books and kite etc - so it makes it easy to point out to my daughter and ask her what they are. There are 3 books (A, B and C), inside each book there are sentences which contain words that begin with that particular letter (A in the A book etc) and that letter is highlighted. The books also "fit" on the mat there are pictures on the mat that are the same size as the books so they can be put in the right place -. There are other books available to complete the alphabet - it's just finding them thats proving the problem - I'd like to complete the set because it would be something that I would like to keep for any other children that I have. I think this would make a great gift for children learning new words or children who are already learning the alphabet.

Very misleading - looks like there is a full set of books from the picture, but there are only 3, and no way of completing the set, which is a shame.

To be fair it does actually say ABC books, if it was all of them then it would say ALPHABET books. It is a good price because my daughter loves it and it is aiding her education - who can argue £4.99 when it helps children learn (in a fun way too) - shame about the additional books - emailed readers digest 5 days ago and no reply as of yet - maybe it's because of the Easter holidays?

Noddy ABC BOOKS , A really lovely deal I thought with Readers Digest they were sending me Noddy books in this series every month. I have books A to O THEN THEY JUST STOPPED SENDING THEM. Absolutely disgusted with Readers Digest . I have been buying books from them for 20 years. What a shocking way to treat your customers. I was told they had been taken over by Vivat Direct Limited. It's a shame they didn't didn't mention it before I STARTED COLLECTING THIS SERIES. If anyone can tell how I can find the rest of these books I WOULD BE VERY HAPPY.

I totally agree with you as the same thing happened to me. I received books upto the lettre L and then books S T U .I complained to Readers Digest and was told the same as you that Vivat were restructuring and no more books were being printed. I am very angry with Readers digest having been a customer for a very long time. I am still trying to complete the series the best way I cin but having no luck at the moment.
