It might be Spring but it is still chilly! These microwave hotties are really sweet, snuggly, and smell great. I'd love to be able to use one of these, but I don't have a microwave. Maybe this is a good reason to get one? I have just never had a need to use one before. We had one for years, and maybe used it twice!

If you're not familiar with these, Hama beads are little round beads of plastic with a hole through the middle. You place the beads on the pegboard to make a shape, and then iron over the beads with a warm iron. This fuses them together, and the shape can be lifted whole off the board.

Kits like this can be a great way to get kids started. Be warned though, you can get huge tubs of Hama beads, and once they understand how it works, children can really get into making them. A nice way to help them exercise their imaginations, and spend some time doing arts and crafts. But you may need to create some display space in the house!

There's still quite a lot of good fleeces left in the sale. I particularly like these as they're light and easy to carry around and you never know when you'll need this extra layer with the British weather. I usually keep at least four fleeces handy for son.

I also really like the kids stripey fleece tops. They're bright and colourful and if you're going camping or hiking it is handy for being able to spot them from long distances. I'm not terribly keen on buying shoes online as my feet are an awkward shape.  But for things like sandals and the like, I do. This is one of the oddest reviews I've ever written. Usually the items I get are themed in some way, or all a bit similar. Not this time. I Want One Of Those sent us three very different items.

The first two are clearly aimed at very much younger children. The Gyro Bowl and the Twilight Turtle are probably best for toddlers. The Moustache Straws on the other hand are clearly aimed at children aged up to 80!

I Want One Of Those is a popular website in our house. My other half spends ages on it looking at all the stuff that's available. He's nuts for odd, whacky, and off the wall gadgets and 'boys' toys.

If two weeks of rain haven't done it for you then perhaps the fast approaching summer school holidays will. If your children are under school age then you really want to make most of that fact now. Especially as the government is getting even tighter about taking term time holidays.

Travelling with children, particularly babies, isn't unfortunately all about which resort you're going to. You also have to figure out what you're going to take. When I first travelled with my son he was just two months old. I had a huge wheelie suitcase, almost entirely filled with things for him. Going on the plane I had a change bag, and another wheelie cabin bag. Again entirely filled with things for baby.

There's some law of physics in there I'm sure. The smaller the baby, the more you have to take on an airplane. Fast forward to the same child aged two, and all I had to take was a drawstring bag with some toys, snacks, and a change of clothes. One single change of clothes.

I was totally flummoxed though. Really, what DO you need to take?

These little Sylvanian sets are so sweet. I wish I had a daughter to share some with. Instead of having to play with Ben 10 and Dinosaurs all the time.
